"Liam??!" called Wura in a mix of uncertainty, disbelief and anxiousness when she turned around to see Liam looking at her, standing at a distance away.
She could not believe her eyes, she was sure that he was not really there, that she was imagining him and imagining hearing his voice, and yet she hoped that even though she was imagining it, she wished it was real.
"Wura" called Liam with a small smile, he could not lie right now, his heart was beating quickly, he did not know how she would react, and even though he knew that her look of shock was only normal, he was still nervous he didn't know what to do.
He was worried that her look of shock would be replaced with anger, anger at him leaving her for so long, anger at him not remembering her, and that stopped him from going closer to her, he felt guilty, very guilty.
As soon as Wura heard him call her name one more time, all her doubt faded as nothing could describe the complicated look on her face in that moment she did not waste any time and she rushed towards him, throwing herself on him for a hug as Liam hugged her tightly.
"Oh Liam, I missed you, I missed you so much" said Wura as she broke down in tears, letting out all her pent up emotions, all her sadness, all her pain, all her worries, every single emotion came crashing down in the form of tears.
"I missed you too Wura, so much, so very much" said Liam as he sighed, hugging her tightly in relief that she was not angry with him.
"You do not know how much I missed you Liam, I missed you so much, every day without you was agony, and now you are finally here…" said Wura in between sobs as she buried her face in his chest and she explained just how Liam had felt.
Wura knew that she was supposed to feel happy and overjoyed that he had finally returned after so long, and she was, but for some reason, her mind and heart decided to cry instead of laugh, she had missed him so much, so very much.
And now that he was finally here, Wura could not help but think that this was a dream, and even if It was, she did not want to ever wake up from a dream like this.
She finally hugged Liam after so long, she was finally in his arms for so long and she had even forgotten that they were in the middle of a battle right now, she did not care, having him here was more than enough for her right now.
"I missed you too Wura, and I am so sorry, so very sorry" said Liam apologetically as Wura just continued to cry, there seemed to be no end to her tears, she did not even ask how he was here, she did not care, all she cared about was that he was here, here with her, all those questions were non-existent to her.
"What are you sorry for?" asked Wura as she cried, wondering why Liam was apologizing.
"I am so sorry for leaving you alone all this time, for failing you, for not being able to remember you, for making you suffer" said Liam as Wura looked up at him and stopped crying as she sniffed.
"No that is not true Liam, it is not your fault, none of this is your fault, you did not know about the curse and you were enchanted, so please do not blame yourself for something that was beyond your control" said Wura as relief washed over Liam because now he knew that she did not blame him.
That she was not regretting marrying him, a man who did not even know that he was cursed, it relieved him that she did not blame him for leaving her all alone to face things on her own without him.
"If anything, it is my fault, if I had listened to you and stayed put, none of this would have happened, this is my fault" said Wura.
"No Wura, do not say that, none of this is your fault, never say that again, okay?" asked Liam as Wura nodded and sniffed.
"Good" said Liam with a smile as he wiped away her tears and Wura kissed him and he kissed her back.
She had missed kissing him so much, feeling him hold her, hug her, squeeze her, this all just felt too good to be true, but she knew that It was true, and it just made her feel so overjoyed.
"I missed you" said Liam as he smiled and broke their kiss.
"I missed you too" said Wura as she smiled and kissed him again, she had completely forgotten that they were in the middle of a battle right now, to which she was quickly reminded of when both she and Liam heard the sound of another explosion that startled Wura as Liam broke their hug.
"The East are setting fires all over the valley to create a distraction" said Liam as he looked around, remembering that they were in the middle of a huge mess right now.
"What do we do then?" asked Wura as Liam looked at her and Wura gasped.
"What is it?" asked Liam.
"Elihu, Zuph and Luc went to the mainland to stop the East's attack's over there, they are clearly outnumbered, what if something bad happened to them?" asked Wura as still till now she had not seen Zechariah, and the others and she knew better than to leave the camp to go look for them.
"No they are alright, I found them on my way here, the East warriors have already been captured" said Liam as he explained and Wura nodded, she wanted to know how, but she knew that now was not a time to ask questions, Liam was here, and that made was what was most important.
"Where is Mero?" asked Liam as he looked around and he heard the sound of horses, he needed Mero's help right now.
"He… he got shot by a flaming around because of me… Nora is with him in the Physician's tent" said Wura as she looked down.
"Alright, that is fine" said Liam as he saw some of his knights coming towards him with their horses and he raised his hand to signal them to stop as they did.
He really wished that Mero would be alright, he had no time to see how he was doing now, he would see him later.
"Where is Mero's tent?" asked Liam.
"Over there" pointed Wura in the distance as Liam walked there and she followed after him.
"What do you know about the East?" asked Liam as he entered into Mero's tent.
"The East's leader is a young man name Olamide, he claims he started this war because Wyverdale stole their land, which is not true" said Wura.
"I tried to make peace by offering him some land by the border, only for him to show his true colours, he is greedy and wants everything, I tried my best but… it did not work…" said Wura with a sigh.
"You did your best my love, and your best is more than enough, you handled it the best way you could, and I am proud of you" said Liam with a smile as he gave her a quick kiss on the forehead.
"Really??" asked Wura.
"Really" replied Liam with a smile.
"My Queen I… *gasp*, your Majesty" said Nora as she entered into the tent and caught sight of Liam as she bowed down quickly, out of shock and fear.
"Nora, Nora how is Mero?" asked Wura as she rushed to Nora.
"My Queen, I do not know, the Physician asked me to leave, the wound was bleeding profusely and… and the Physician was preparing fire to seal up the wound" replied Nora in fear, she did not want anything bad to happen to Mero, she hoped with all her might that he would be okay.
"Oh I hope that he is alright…" said Wura.
"And so do I my Queen" replied Nora as Wura did not have time to explain how Liam was here, she herself did not even know how he was here either.
"He will be alright Mero is strong" said Liam.
"I hope so too Liam" said Wura as she looked at him and Liam picked up a sword and shield.
"Where are you going Liam?" asked Wura as she looked at him.
"I am going to fight" replied Liam as he did not looked at her and he made sure to check the sword in his hand carefully, he could not go to fight with a blunt sword.
"What???" asked Wura as she looked at him with wide eyes, she did not like the sound of that at all.
