"*Ugh*" said Wura as she groaned and she opened her eyes as she felt a blast of light on her face as she blinked repeatedly.
Wura held her head as she had a horrible headache, everywhere hurt, she was so confused.
Wura tried to sit up straight in bed as she failed at that and lied back in bed, she did not feel like moving at all.
"My Queen, you are awake" said Nora with a smile as she walked to Wura with a cup of tea in her hand.
"Oh Nora, good morning" said Wura as she smiled, she still felt so horrible.
"How do you feel my Queen?" asked Nora with a smile.
"Horrible Nora, horrible, everywhere and everything aches, and I have a terrible headache" said Wura as she groaned.
"My Queen, I heard that you drank quite a lot last night" said Nora.
"Oh did I? I do not even remember everything is a blur" said Wura as Nora set the teacup on the bedside table as she helped Wura sit up.
"Thank you Nora" said Wura with a smile.
"Here my Queen, this should alleviate your headache and make you feel better" said Nora with a smile as she handed the teacup to Wura.
"Oh thank you Nora, what would I do without you?" asked Wura as she took the tea and she smelt it, it was hot, just what she needed right now, she had never felt this was before.
"Oh I feel so horrible" said Wura as she groaned and took a sip of her tea.
"I can only imagine my Queen" said Nora.
"I am never drinking again, never" said Wura as Nora just smiled.
"Wine is a mocker" said Wura as she sipped her tea.
"True my Queen, but you did not drink wine, you drank mead" said Nora as she smiled.
"Well then mead is a mocker" said Wura as she laughed and Nora laughed.
"Creates a sense of enjoyment, makes you forget everything for but a moment, but when the effects cease it burns like fire and stinks like an adder" said Wura as she drank the tea and she started feeling a bit better.
"You speak the truth my Queen" said Nora as she smiled.
"I am just warning myself, I do not want to ever feel like this again" said Wura as Nora smiled.
"My Queen, Sir Mero told me that you joined the men as the summer festival and you drank a lot" said Nora.
"I blame myself and partially the mead, it was too sweet, and I got lost in the drinking" said Wura.
"And now I feel very irresponsible, I am the Queen, I am supposed to be a good example, and yet here I am waking up at noon" said Wura as she sighed, she felt very disappointed in herself, she should have known better, drinking would never do her any good.
"Do not blame yourself my Queen, you were carried away in the moment" said Nora as she poured Wura some more tea.
"My Queen, I know that on a normal day, you would never drink like that… what drew you to drink?" asked Nora.
"Oh Nora…" said Wura as she sighed.
"I do not know, I was just so lonely, and I missed Liam so much, I could not sleep so I walked around the Castle and found the knights celebrating, and everything happened" said Wura.
"My Queen, if you were lonely you could have just told me, I would have stayed with you and kept you company" said Nora.
"I know Nora, but I did not want to bother you, I had already sent you to your room, and I wanted to be alone, but it was a bad idea, I ended up doing what I should not have done" said Wura.
"Nora did you sleep here?" asked Wura.
"Yes my Queen I did, once Sir Mero came to call me" said Nora.
"Oh, I must have given Mero and the others a great scare for him to go and call you" said Wura as she laughed.
"That you did my Queen, you really did, he looked very worried" said Nora as she laughed.
"He had to tie you up" said Nora as she laughed.
"Oh my, I really need to apologize to him, I must have been so horrible" said Wura as she laughed and she shook her head.
"My Queen, should I bring you your food now" said Nora.
"Thank you Nora, I assure you that this will be the first and last time that you have to take care of me like this" said Wura as she smiled.
"That does not matter my Queen, just please focus on getting better" said Nora as she smiled and Wura smiled at her as she walked out of her room and Wura sighed.
"I know you would be disappointed in me too for drinking too much" said Wura to herself as she got out of bed, she could not just stay in bed all day, it would make her feel even worse.
…
"Come in" said Wura as she was in Liam's office and she heard a knock on the door.
"My Queen, I thought that you were supposed to be resting" said Mero as he walked into the office.
"I do not deserve to rest, I would rather do some work" said Wura.
"How do you feel my Queen? You had… quite a lot to drink" said Mero.
"So I have heard, and I also felt the after effects quite greatly" said Wura as she smiled.
"Yes my Queen, we did try to stop you, but you insisted on drinking" said Mero.
"I know Mero, you are not at fault, I am, I know how stubborn I was, and I will never drink again" said Wura as she smiled and Mero was relieved that she had come to the decision on her own. She could really go over the edge when she was drunk.
He had never seen her act like that before, with the way she was drunk, he had thought that she would be in bed for the entire day.
"That is for the best my Queen" said Mero as Wura suddenly felt her head throb as she seemed to remember something that she had forgotten.
"Mero…" called Wura.
"Yes my Queen?" asked Mero.
"Mero… I tried to kiss you did I not?" asked Wura in embarrassment as she could not believe what she had just remembered, she had acted insane.
"You did my Queen" said Mero as he had decided not to bring this up since he was sure that Wura would be embarrassed about it, but since she was the one who remembered, then all he could do was to tell her the truth.
"Oh Mero, I am so sorry, I do not know what came over me, I should not have asked that from you, I feel so ashamed" said Wura as she shook her head.
"Do not be my Queen, you did so while not being in the right frame of mind" said Mero.
"That is still no excuse, I am still ashamed" said Wura.
"My Queen, I know that it is hard for you, you miss Liam a lot" said Mero.
"Oh Mero, you do not know the half of it, I just feel so empty, and I am tired of everything" said Wura as she sighed.
"It will get easier my Queen" said Mero.
"No, do not say that Mero, do not lie to me, I have no idea where Liam is, I do not know how he is doing, I do not even know if he remembers me, It as if keeping this false hope is doing me more harm than good, I am just so tired" said Wura.
"My Queen, I might not have the answer to all your questions" said Mero as he truly wanted to help Wura, he knew that she was going through a lot, and drinking would not solve what it was.
"But I am certain of one thing, and that Is Liam, loves you" said Mero.
"And I love him" said Wura.
"I know that you do my Queen, so are you really going to lose your hope?" asked Mero.
"Oh Mero, of course not, after everything… I cannot just stop thinking about him, I cannot forget him, even if that seems like the best option" said Wura.
"I just do not know what to do" said Wura.
"Then wait my Queen, wait" said Mero.
"If there is one thing I know about Liam, he will never let anything or anyone stop him from finding out the truth" said Mero sincerely.
"Just trust him and wait" said Mero as Wura sighed, she really did not know what to say, or what to think, but one thing was for sure, she did not want to give up on waiting for Liam, not now, not ever, no matter how hard it was or how difficult it felt.
