Chapter 366 - Show

"My Queen, you need to calm down" said Nora as she looked at Wura in worry as Wura paced up and down in Liam's room.

"Nora, I cannot calm down, do not tell me to calm down, I caused this and now I cannot do anything to stop it" said Wura.

"My Queen, it was not your fault at all, you did not know that that was what Elder Foden was planning" said Nora.

"But I should have known better, I should have suspected something when he insisted for me to give my permission, and also not to go back on my word, he was waiting for this, he wanted to humiliate me and my family" said Wura as she sighed and she sat down on the bed, she could not handle this at all, it was just too much for her.

"But my Queen, you could not have known, no one knows the deep intents of a man except the creator himself" said Nora as Wura sighed and Nora walked to stand next to her.

"My Queen, everything will be alright, I am sure that Sir Mero will handle everything, he will make sure that your uncle will be proved innocent" said Nora as she patted Wura on her right shoulder as Wura looked at her.

"Are you sure Nora?" asked Wura with a sigh.

"I am very sure my Queen, I trust Sir Mero and I trust that he will do everything in his power to make sure that Elder Foden does not get what he wants" said Nora as Wura nodded.

"I believe you Nora, you are right" said Wura as Nora smiled.

"But I cannot just sit here and whine and do nothing, I have to do something, I cannot let Elder Foden believe that my hands are tied, he locked up my uncle for crying out loud" said Wura.

"My Queen, I do not think that you should try to get involved in this, you are not in the right frame of mind to do so, please do not let Elder Foden find something to capitalize on" said Nora.

"You are right Nora, but I will never be able to just stay put here" said Wura.

"My Queen, why do you not go and show your support to your Aunt and comfort her? She really needs you at this time" said Nora as Wura sighed.

"No Nora, I cannot bring myself to go and comfort her when I am the cause of what is happening" said Wura.

"I caused this, I should have been more careful with my words, and now because of my obliviousness my uncle has been locked up falsely" said Wura.

"But my Queen, you know that your Aunt would never blame you, and you said it yourself, you were oblivious to what Elder Foden meant to do" said Nora.

"But that is still no excuse at all Nora, I should know, I am no longer a child, I should have sensed some kind of evil intent from him" said Wura.

"I am no longer just a Duke's daughter, I am the Queen, and I seemed to have forgotten that not everyone is happy with me being Queen, they want to hurt me, either directly by insulting me, or indirectly by harming my family, and I am not going to let them do that" said Wura.

"I just feel so bad, because if Liam was here, he would know just what to, in fact none of this would have happened if Liam was here" said Wura with a sigh, everything tied back to the absence of her husband.

"My Queen…" said Nora as she did not know what else to say to try to comfort Wura.

"My Queen, why not go and see your uncle, why not ask him about what he thinks of these allegations brought up against him" said Nora.

"You know what Nora, you are right, I will go and do that now" said Wura as she nodded.

"Yes my Queen, would you like me to accompany you?" asked Nora as she smiled.

"No Nora, you stay here, I want you to tell my father to meet me in the library, I need to speak with him" said Wura.

"Alright my Queen, please calm down, and everything will be alright" said Nora as she smiled.

"Thank you Nora… I hope so" said Wura with a smile as she hugged Nora and Nora smiled.

Wura sighed as she walked down the steps to the dungeon as the dungeon keeper stood up from his desk when he heard her approaching.

"Good evening my Queen" said the dungeon keeper as he bowed.

"Good evening" said Wura as she replied.

"What can I do for you my Queen?" asked the dungeon keeper.

"I want you to open the cell of my uncle" said Wura.

"I hope that you are not trying to go against your own words my Queen" said Elder Foden with a smile as he walked out of a room and Wura looked at him.

"Why are you still here Elder Foden?" asked Wura as she had thought that he would be gone by now, it seemed that he was purposely waiting here just to stop her.

"I am here because my duties are here my Queen, I have to process the arrests of all the other criminals involved" said Elder Foden with a smile.

"So you are telling me that you were so quick to arrest my uncle first before catching the actual guilty people" said Wura in anger, she was trying her best to stay calm but this man right here was getting on her nerves.

"I had to do what was right my Queen, you of all people should know that" said Elder Foden as Wura just stared at him in irritation and anger.

"And my question remains my Queen, I hope that you are not here to go against your own words and release the prisoner" said Elder Foden.

"I am not a child Elder Foden, and I do not go back on my words, and the man in question is my uncle, who has a rank higher than you, so you will not refer to him as a prisoner, but as the uncle of your Queen, are we clear?" asked Wura.

"Very clear my Queen" said Elder Foden with a smile.

"Good, open the cell for me now, I am going to see my uncle" said Wura with a scoff as she turned to look at the dungeon keeper who nodded and got the huge bunch of keys as he walked to open the gate that led to the main dungeon as Wura was about to follow after him but Elder Foden called out to her.

"Before you go and see your uncle my Queen, I believe that you should first see this" said Elder Foden with a smile as Wura turned to look at him.

"What?" asked Wura as Elder Foden handed her what looked like a sealed letter as she looked at him questionably.

"Open it my Queen" said Elder Foden with a smile as Wura looked at him suspiciously and she opened the letter as she read through it.

"As you can see this is a letter written by those in question that wanted to rebel, and right there at the bottom of the letter are the names of all those involved with them, and if I am not mistaken that has to be your uncle's name" said Elder Foden with a smile.

Wura could not believe what she was seeing, right there at the bottom, the name Richard Ridingfall was signed, and it was in her uncle's handwriting, she knew it right there, she knew her uncle's handwriting well.

"You see my Queen, my accusations are not baseless but are a show of justice" said Elder Foden as Wura looked at him, she did not get this, this was not true at all.

"Can I have this?" asked Wura.

"Of course my Queen, I know that you would never obstruct justice, or get rid of evidence" said Elder Foden with a smile as Wura turned around and walked away into the main dungeon.

"My Queen, I have unlocked the cell" said the dungeon keeper.

"Thank you, please leave us" said Wura.

"Yes my Queen" said the dungeon keeper as he bowed down and walked out the main dungeon as Wura walked to the cell to see Richard at the wall.

"Uncle…" called Wura as Richard turned to look at her and she felt like crying, she never thought that she would see her beloved Uncle behind bars, it just hurt her so much.

"Wura" said Richard as Wura opened the gate of the cell and she walked in as she hugged Richard.

"I am so sorry uncle, this is all my fault, all my fault, I should have known that something was wrong" said Wura as she stopped hugging Richard.

"This is not your fault Wura" replied Richard.

"But it is, you are in this position because of me" said Wura sadly.
