Chapter 336 - On purpose

"It is such a coincidence that we all happen to be going to the market today" said Malcom as he laughed as he, Liam, Nora and Wura were walking in the market full of people.

"Yes… a coincidence" said Nora as she laughed and she looked at Wura who laughed.

"I agree, I mean it is nice for us all to go around" said Malcom as he smiled.

"Malcom, I actually need your help to carry some things, can you come with me?" asked Nora with a smile.

"Of course, I do not see why not, Liam, I will go with Nora" said Malcom as he smiled and he looked at Liam.

"My lady, I will be back soon, you can pick out what you wanted to buy" said Nora as she smiled at Wura and she and Malcom walked away, as if they were running away from them.

Liam and Wura looked at each other as they were both thinking the same thing.

"I think that they did that on purpose" said Liam as he laughed and Wura laughed as well.

"They really did" said Wura as she laughed.

"Well I cannot complain, now I have more time to spend with you my darling" Liam as he smiled and he hugged Wura as she laughed.

"Yes we can" said Wura as she jumped a bit and she gave him a quick kiss since he was taller than her and that surprised Liam.

"There" said Wura as she laughed at his reaction.

"Are you trying to test me or what my love?" asked Liam as he smiled.

"Hmm maybe I am, maybe I am not, what do you think?" asked Wura as she laughed and Liam laughed, she really was tricky, and he thought that with her innocent eyes, she was innocent, but that was far from the truth, she could be dangerous when she wanted to be dangerous.

"Oh, if only we were alone right now, I would…" said Liam as he stopped himself.

"What would you do?" asked Wura as she smiled at him and she licked her lips and that singular action was enough to make Liam question his sanity.

"Do not do that my love" said Liam.

"Do what?" asked Wura as she did not know what he was talking about.

"Licking your lips, don't do that" said Liam as Wura laughed, she did not know that such a small singular action of hers could cause Liam to look like he was suffering, it made her feel a bit mischievous, like she wanted to cause him a little more suffering.

"Oh this?" asked Wura as she feigned ignorance and she licked her lips again on purpose.

"Are you serious right now Wura, you are doing that on purpose" said Liam in frustration as Wura laughed.

"Maybe I am, maybe I am not" said Wura as she laughed.

"I am starting to lose my sanity" said Liam.

"Then kiss me Liam, why do you not just kiss me?" asked Wura as she whispered in his ear.

"Because we are in a public place, and I want to respect you, if people see us kissing in public, what will they think?" asked Liam as he whispered back to her.

"But did you not say that you did not care what people thought?" asked Wura as she whispered back.

"Let us get one thing straight, I do not care what people think, but I do care what they think about you, because you are a precious gem, and I adore you" said Liam as Wura felt her heart fluttering as they both looked into each other's eyes.

Oh how much Wura wished that they were in a private place right now, so she could kiss him the way she wanted to, and tell him that she adored him as well.

"Love, I think we should buy the things that you want to buy" said Liam with a smile.

"Ohh… umm yes" said Wura as she realized that she was forgetting the main reason why she was here, Liam was such a bad distraction for her, and she loved him so much.

Liam laughed at her reaction, it would seem that she was just as charmed with him as he was with her, he loved that they both felt the same for each other, that their feelings were mutual.

"Yes, I want to buy some tomatoes" said Wura as she remembered what she needed, she was sure that Nora would take care of the rest of the ingredients that they had to buy.

"Alright then my love, let us go and find some tomatoes then" said Liam as he laughed and he held Wura's hand as she smiled and she followed after him.

"Those two are really good together" said Malcom as he smiled.

"They really are…" said Nora out of impulse as she realized that she had spoken too much.

"Oh I mean… I do not know what you are talking about" said Nora as Malcom laughed, she was a really bad liar.

"You are a bad liar" said Malcom as he laughed and Nora scolded herself internally, now she had gone and said something that she should not have in the first place.

"No I do not know what you are talking about" said Nora.

"There is no need to lie to me Nora, I know everything, Mero told me about it" said Malcom.

"He did??" asked Nora in confusion as she could not believe that Mero would tell Malcom about the whole situation.

"I mean he partly did, but I figured out most of it on my own, Lily is Liam's wife right?" asked Malcom as Nora nodded, she did not know that Malcom could be so smart to figure it out.

"And you all are trying to get him to remember her" said Malcom.

"And I cannot lie, it is obvious to see, those two are deeply in love with each other" said Malcom as he laughed.

"They really are" said Nora as she smiled, she was happy for Wura and Liam, they were both together, and It was good.

"I know they are, I am just worried that you should just tell Liam the truth, before something else happens and there are more misunderstandings" said Malcom.

"I agree to you to some extent but… his Ma… I mean Liam can be a very stubborn person, he would need evidence, some sort of proof to be sure of what we are saying, and my lady knows that very well, which is why she is treading softly" said Nora.

"The last thing that she would want to do right now is lose him again" said Nora.

"I can understand that, but the truth is always the best, at least if Liam knows the truth, he will know which direction to think in, so he can recover his memories" said Malcom as Nora sighed, this whole thing was very complicated.

"I know, but it is all up to my lady to make that choice" said Nora as Malcom knew that it was all up to Wura.

"Come on love" said Liam as he took Wura's hand and he turned to a corner.

"Liam, where are we going?" asked Wura as she looked at him and they walked in an empty corner between the stalls.

"This" said Liam as he turned around and he kissed Wura, he could not take it anymore, he could no dare move on without kissing her.

"Mhmm" said Wura as she closed her eyes and she sunk into their kiss, she could not believe that Liam walked them into a corner just so he could kiss her, she was surprised, was he that hungry for her as she was for him?

"I could not go any further without kissing you my love" said Liam as he pulled away and he kissed her again.

"Mhmm, and so could I" said Wura as she kissed him back.

"I adore you too Liam, so much, I adore you" said Wura as Liam kissed her neck and he moved back to her lips.

"Liam, we should go now, Nora and Malcom should be looking for us" said Wura as Liam pulled back.

"There, now we can go" said Liam as he laughed and Wura scoffed at him as she hit him.

"So childish" said Wura as she and Liam held hands and they walked out of the corner as in the same moment Nora and Malcom seemed to have been coming from the opposite direction and Wura quickly let go of Liam's hand.

"Oh there you both are" said Malcom as he smiled.

"Yes" said Wura as she laughed.

"My lady, I have bought everything that need for dinner tonight" said Nora as she smiled.

"That is good Nora, I also bought some tomatoes" said Wura as she smiled.

"Liam, we should go back to the blacksmith to pick up the horses, he could be done making the horseshoes by now" said Malcom.

"Ahh that is true" said Liam as more people started to rush into the market.

"Yes, I agree, why are there so many people here?" asked Wura in confusion.

"Where are all these people coming from?" asked Wura in confusion when in the same moment the sound of a trumpet could be heard.

"Oh, the census has been completed" said Malcom as he smiled.

"That means that we can finally go to the first city" said Malcom with a smile as Wura suddenly felt her heart sink with what she heard.

"Yes…" said Liam as he looked at Wura, he knew that she was thinking the same way that he was thinking.

Wura opened her eyes as she sighed, she could not go to sleep, not at all, she just kept on getting this sinking feeling in her stomach that she could not get rid of, it made her feel so bad.

"Nora" whispered Wura as she called for Nora who was sleeping soundly beside her.

That made Wura smile, she was relieved to see that at least someone was able to sleep peacefully, meanwhile, she could not.

Wura sighed as she did not want to wake Nora up, so she carefully got out of bed and she made her way to the door in the dark room.

She opened the door as she walked outside and she closed it slowly behind her.

Wura did not know where she was going, but she knew that she needed to go somewhere where she would be able to clear her mind, to think, to dwell to reflect.

As Wura walked through the cold and quiet streets, she could not help but feel a sense of emptiness as she sighed.

Wura walked to the river as she sat down beside the river bank and she looked up into the starless sky at the bright moon, the moon was bright, but her soul was dark and sad, sad because she knew that sooner than later, what she feared most would happen.

Wura closed her eyes as she took a deep breath and she heard footsteps around her as she suddenly felt two warm pairs of hands hug her from behind as she opened her eyes.

"My love" said Liam as Wura turned to look at him and she felt like crying.

"It seems that we have the same idea to come to the river tonight" said Liam as he smiled and Wura just kept on looking at him searching for answers in his eyes.

"My love, Wura, what is wrong?" asked Liam as he caressed her cheek.

"Because we… you… we are going to leave each other… you will leave" said Wura as she felt like crying right now, but she did not want Liam to see her tears, so she held them back.

"No my love, we are not going to leave each other" said Liam as he hugged Wura and she hugged him so tightly not wanting to let go at all.
