Wura yawned as she opened her eyes and she stretched on the bed as she sighed, she had such a good night's sleep, and it was funny considering that she wanted to stay up all night, but now that she thought about it, she was just a very silly person, and she could not even keep to her own words, she felt asleep.
Wura rubbed her eyes as she kicked her leg and she realized that she hit something, or more specifically someone, which made her open her eyes wide, she had forgotten that Liam was right beside her, and she had just kicked him.
Wura quickly looked at Liam as he opened his eyes, he had closed them because he wanted to think without any distractions, but then he felt Wura kick him, it was not painful at all, it was just a light kick, but what made him laugh internally was the way she looked at him worriedly with her wide eyes.
"Sorry" said Wura as she apologized and she scolded herself internally.
"Good Morning Lily" said Liam as he smiled at her.
"Good Morning Liam" replied Wura as at least she was relieved that she could stay on her own side of the bed this time, she would have been so embarrassed if she had found herself on Liam's side of the bed.
"I am sorry for kicking you" said Wura as she sighed.
"I do not mind at all Lily" said Liam as he smiled and Wura just looked at him.
"Are you no longer upset with me?" asked Liam as Wura bit her lip and she nodded, how could she stay upset with him for long? She just couldn't she loved him too much to, and besides, the reason for their argument was not reasonable at all.
"Are you upset with me?" asked Wura.
"Not at all" said Liam as he smiled.
"We argued over something unreasonable" said Wura.
"Oh, so now you realize that?" asked Liam as Wura scoffed at him.
"Well you made it unreasonable" said Wura.
"You cannot always get everything that you want Lily, you have to consider others" said Liam as Wura scoffed at him.
"Fine, it is too early for this, I do not want to fight with you again" said Liam.
"And neither do I" said Wura as she sighed and Liam laughed as she did not know why he was laughing, and that in turn made her laugh.
"Why are you laughing Liam?" asked Wura as she laughed and she looked at Liam.
"Because we are both unseriously good at arguing with each other" said Liam as he laughed.
"Oh very funny Liam, if we argue that is because you do not listen to me" said Wura as she laughed and Liam continued to laugh.
"If you say so, but it is the truth that we always argue because you start the argument" said Liam as he laughed and Wura scoffed at him.
"Whatever you say, I think that we should get going now, we do not want to waste another day" said Wura as she got out of bed.
"You are right" said Liam as he agreed with her and he smiled as he got out of bed as well and they both laughed at each other.
…
"Oh finally, thank the heavens, I was able to rest well" said Elihu to himself in relief as he smiled, he felt better than yesterday, way better, his eyes were not red, and he was back to looking like his handsome self just like usual.
Elihu looked at Darla who had been awfully quiet all morning, he did not know what to think about that, he did not know if it was a good thing, so he would not hear her horribly whiney voice, or if it was bad because he did not know what she was thinking, but either way, there was a great silence between them both as they rode.
Darla was in her own thoughts, thinking about just how much Wura was enjoying being all alone with Liam, the mere thought made her feel like exploding, she just felt so angry, she felt like this was unfair, so unfair, she met Liam before Wura did, she loved him and she was sure that Wura did not love him at all.
And yet everyone was on her side, they did not seem to care for her opinion or feelings at all, and that just made her feel even worse, worse that no one cared about her, they all saw her as this exceedingly great mean woman, she just could not take it.
"Darla, are you here or somewhere else?" asked Elihu as he snapped Darla out of her thoughts, she had not been paying attention to where she was going as she almost hit a tree.
"Oh…" said Darla as she stopped her horse and she looked at Elihu.
"Just what in the heavens are you thinking about?" asked Elihu in surprise.
"Nothing that concerns you" said Darla as she turned back and she snapped at him.
"You are right, it does not concern me, but I am concerned for that poor horse that would have hit its head if not for my intervention" said Elihu as Darla scoffed.
"I am sure that it is because you are hungry, and that is why you are not paying attention to your surroundings" said Elihu.
"Oh you shut up" said Darla as she rode her horse ahead and Elihu followed after her as he shook his head, could she be anymore annoying or hard to talk to? Everything turned into a fight with her, he wondered why she was just so bitter in the first place, it would get her nowhere at all.
Darla scolded herself internally, she had to admit that Elihu was right, she had to get her mind in control and her thoughts as well, she could not just go crashing into things like that, it would harm herself and her horse as well.
Darla sighed internally as she heard the sounds of many people nearby, which meant that a market was close, so she moved faster, she had to buy some things.
"Stay here and do not move at all, because if I cannot find you when I return, I will leave you" said Darla as she got off her horse and she held it by its reins as she looked at Elihu and Elihu stopped his horse as he scoffed, as if he would go anywhere in this strange land, of course he knew better than to even dare try that.
"You heard me man" said Darla as she walked into the market while holding her horse behind her.
"She just expects me to sit here and wait for her like some sort of slave" said Elihu to himself as he scoffed, every single time, the effrontery that she could treat him and everyone the way that she did.
"I feel sorry for that poor horse, he must feel drained after being forced to carry her all day" said Elihu to himself as he was silently cursing Mero in his heart for making him be the one to have to endure this woman.
Elihu sighed as he could promise you that he had watched countless people walk in and out of the market, and yet, he had no sign of Darla at all, which made him start to wonder what if this was all part of an elaborate plan to leave him stranded in the middle of nowhere, after all, he could not count that out at all, Darla was a very wicked person, and it had been a long while since she entered the market.
While Elihu was contemplating whether or not to leave and continue on his way, he finally saw Darla coming out of the market in the corner of his eye, which made him sigh in relief, he was relieved that what he was thinking was not right, or else, he did not know what he would explain to Mero if Darla left him and ran away to who knew where.
Darla walked to where Elihu was as she got on her horse and she threw him a brown leather cloth as he caught it.
"What is this?" asked Elihu as he looked down at the leather cloth in his hand and then at Darla, I felt heavy, and it smelt funny.
Darla did not say anything to Elihu as she started to ride away and Elihu untied the leather cloth as he was surprised to find steamed meat wrapped in the cloth as he looked at Darla who had rode ahead of him.
He did not know whether to be thankful or to be wary, but one thing was for sure, he was hungry, and Darla did not seem to be that heartless to let him starve.
"Thank you Darla" said Elihu as he caught up to Darla and she said nothing to him.
