Wura kept her eyes tightly closed as she could hear footsteps that moved right past her, she tried her best to stay completely still and pretend like she was still sleeping, as Liam walked right past her to where Darla was as the sun has risen already.
Wura sighed a sigh of relief as she opened her eyes and she turned to look in the direction where Liam had gone as she saw Darla there with him as they were smiling together and Wura felt the sight prick her, why did Liam always have to be around him? Just why?
"Morning Liam" said Darla as she smiled.
"Good Morning Darla" said Liam as he smiled at her.
"How did you sleep?" asked Darla.
"Fine, and how did you sleep?" asked Liam with a smile as Darla smiled at him.
"Good as well" said Darla as she smiled.
"The boys are still sleeping, and I can hear a stream nearby, do you want to come with me?" asked Darla.
"Sure, let us go" said Liam as he smiled and Darla smiled at him as he followed after him.
Wura did not know just where Liam and Darla were going at this time of the morning, and she did not like it at all, especially not the happy smile on Darla's face as she was taking her husband away.
Wura just sighed as soon as she could no longer see Liam and Darla as she got up quickly, contemplating whether or not to follow them, she paced up and down, thinking, on one hand, she wanted to follow them, to make sure that they would not go and do anything not good, and on the other hand, how would she explain why she was following them if they found out?
Wura was stuck between two choices once again… she did not want Liam to end up chasing her away, so she decided that the best thing for her to do was to stay put, and wait for them to return, because Malcom and Dothan were still here, which meant that they would definitely be coming back.
So even though it hurt Wura so much not to know where her husband was going with that woman, she would stay put, right where she was.
"My Queen, are you alright?" asked Mero as he walked to where Wura was pacing up and down as he had woken up earlier.
"No Mero, no, I am not alright" replied Wura.
"Liam left to who knows where with that woman" said Wura as she could not take this at all.
"And you want to follow them my Queen?" asked Mero.
"No, of course not, of course I cannot no matter how much I want to, because if I do, I cannot explain why I would be following them" said Wura in frustration as Mero just looked at her, of course she knew why she could not.
"I have been thinking all night and day, thinking of how to break the enchantment, but nothing comes to mind, because I do not understand, I just do not understand why this is happening" said Wura as she stood in one spot as she looked at Mero.
"My Queen, we need to take things slowly one step at a time" said Mero.
"It Is evident that we do not know what happened to Liam after the barrier broke, so we need to find that out first before anything else" said Mero as Wura knew that he was right, they had to find out what happened.
"Alright, so how do we do that Mero? Because I have no ideas at all" said Wura.
"Maybe by asking him, or getting him to speak more about himself, we have to know what he knows and remembers about himself" said Mero as he really hoped that Liam's inability to remember them was not so serious to the point that the enchantment on him could not be broken.
"Alright… but I doubt that we will be able to do that, because that woman, that woman who calls herself Darla is always around him at all times, and she does not like him speaking to us at all, she tries to block any chance that we get to speak to him alone" said Wura as she sighed, this was all too much.
"Well my Queen, we just have to try to find a way around it" said Mero as that was all that he could think off.
"And we also need to know just where they are going, because sooner or later, I doubt that our story will appeal to them, seeing as we ourselves do not know where we are going" said Mero.
"We are going wherever Liam is going of course" said Wura as she replied quickly, she was not going to leave Liam alone, not at all.
"My Queen, do you forget the story you told them that you are looking for your husband?" asked Mero.
"Yes, I was, and I found him, and I am going to follow him everywhere" said Wura as Mero sighed.
"Mero, do not think about that right now, for now, we should think about how we are going to get Liam to tell us what he remembers" said Wura as Mero nodded his head, he agreed with her.
"I will think of what I can do to get him alone with me so we can talk" said Wura as she saw Elihu and Nora waking up.
"Alright my Queen, whatever you say" said Mero as he nodded his head.
"I will go and wake up Zuph and the others, we have to be on our way soon" said Mero.
"Alright Mero, you go do that, while I think here" said Wura as Mero nodded and he went to wake up Zuph.
"Good Morrow my Queen" said Nora as she smiled and she looked at Wura as she walked to her.
"Good Morrow Nora" replied Wura as she did not look at Nora at all.
"My Queen, what is wrong?" asked Nora as she could see that Wura was not happy at all.
"Liam left with that woman called Darla, and I do not know where to" said Wura as Nora did not know what to say to try to calm Wura down, Wura just looked very angry right now, so much so that Nora felt like she could pounce on Darla at any time.
"I mean, can you imagine that woman, going around with a married man like that?" asked Wura.
"My Queen, I doubt that she is aware that he is a married man" said Nora.
"Are you defending that woman Nora?" asked Wura as she looked at Nora in anger.
"Ahh… no…no my Queen… of course not" said Nora as she quickly nodded her head, she did not want Wura to be upset with her as well.
"Good, because she knows that he is a married man, Liam told me that he is looking for his wife, and she knows that, and yet she is still behaving like that with him" said Wura.
"Oh if I had my way, I would… I would… *ugh*" said Wura as she was just so very frustrated right now.
"Take it easy my Queen, getting this worked up is not good for you" said Nora.
"Do not tell me that Nora, do not dare tell me that, how would you feel if your own husband could not remember you and he was going around with another woman right in front of your own two eyes, how would you feel then? Would you still tell me to calm down?" asked Wura as Nora shook her head.
"My Queen, I know that this is hard, but please lower your voice, we are not alone after all" said Nora as Wura remembered that Malcom and Dothan were still here.
"I just cannot help it, I am enraged every time I see them together, I just want to get in between the both of them" said Wura as she sighed and she lowered her voice.
"I understand you my Queen, but his Majesty does not know that you are his wife, and that you are right here" said Nora.
"His Majesty Is a noble man, I doubt that he would do anything nasty with Darla, my Queen, we just need patience, and for you to trust his Majesty" said Nora.
"Do you not trust him?" asked Nora.
"Of course I trust him Nora, it is that woman that I do not trust" said Wura as she sighed, she truly needed to calm down, she really needed to.
"My Queen, you should continue to trust his Majesty, and be sure that he will do nothing of what you are thinking… because he loves you… and you love him" said Nora as Wura felt like crying right now.
"But what if he does not remember that he loves me?" asked Wura as she felt like crying, but she did not want to, not right now.
"My Queen, he will" replied Nora as Wura nodded her head, she really needed to hear that Liam still loved her, and that all he needed was to remember her.
"Lily Good Morning" said Malcom as he smiled and he walked to where Wura and Nora were standing as he had just woken up, while Dothan was still sleeping.
"Malcom, good morning??" said Wura in confusion as Malcom laughed.
"Why are you laughing?" asked Wura.
"Because you look confused, when I told you good morning…" said Malcom as he laughed, he seemed amused by this.
"Well yes… I do not know what it means…" said Wura.
"You do not?" asked Malcom in surprise.
"Yes" replied Wura as she nodded her head.
"Well it means when we are awake after the night is gone" said Malcom as he explained and Wura nodded her head in understand, she realized now that them saying good morning was the equivalent of their good morrow.
"Yes silly" said Malcom as he laughed and Wura smiled at him, Malcom was very welcoming, he did not treat her like a stranger at all, he behaved as if they had not just met yesterday.
"If you do not know that, then where are you from?" asked Malcom as he smiled, he found this all strange, he was sure that Lily was not from around here at all.
"Ahh well I am from…" said Wura as she was cut off, before she could say anything else, Darla's voice dominated above hers.
"I can see that everyone is awake now" said Darla as she and Liam finally returned and she looked at everyone.
"We will be leaving soon, so everyone should be quick in whatever they want to do" said Darla as there was no room for refusal at all.
"I have said what I need to say" said Darla as she walked to start a fire.
"Good Morning Lily" said Liam as he smiled and he walked to where Wura and Malcom were standing.
"Good Morning… Liam" said Wura as she did not like the way that he was looking at her and smiling at her like that, not when he did not remember her, it only made her feel worse that, his smile which she loved so much, was now for everyone, and not for her alone.
"Morning Liam" said Malcom as he looked at Liam.
"Good Morning Malcom" said Liam as he looked at Malcom and he smiled.
"My lady, would you like to eat now?" asked Nora as Wura turned to look at her.
"Ahh well no… I am alright Nora" said Wura.
"Alright my Queen" said Nora even though she was not happy with Wura's decision at all, she did not like that she still was not eating well at all.
"You are not eating?" asked Malcom as Wura turned to look at him.
"I am not hungry" replied Wura as she smiled at Malcom.
"Alright then" said Malcom as he smiled and Wura smiled at him.
…
Wura sighed as she rode quietly behind Liam and Darla, she had been thinking and thinking of what she could do to try to bring Liam's memories back to him, but she could not think of anything that did not involve her having to tell him directly that she was his wife.
Wura also tried to see if she would have any luck in finding a time when Liam would be alone, but there was no opening at all, Darla was around him all the time, not letting him be alone at all.
Wura just sighed as she was getting tired of trying to think, she was just tired.
Liam looked back briefly as his eyes fell on Wura, he did not know why, but he felt like she looked sad, and that affected him to some extent.
"Liam, you and the others stay here, I am going to speak to a merchant" said Darla as Liam turned back to look at her and he nodded his head.
"Alright, I will be right back" said Darla as she moved to the right with her horse.
"Boys, stay here and do not move at all" said Darla.
"Yes Darla" said Malcom and Dothan at the same time as Darla rode faster to where she saw a merchant with donkeys not so far away as they all stopped to wait for her.
Wura was snapped out of her thoughts when she saw Malcom and Dothan come closer to her, as she turned around to see Mero, Elihu and Zuph discussing amongst themselves as Nora just watched.
"Lily, what being are you?" asked Dothan.
"How do you mean?" asked Wura in confusion, she did not understand.
"We mean, what type of being are you? Vampire, witch, werewolf, giant, ogre?" which one?" asked Malcom as of course he ruled out the last three, since Lily did not have any traits of those beings.
"Ahh well I am a human…" said Wura.
"You are?" asked Dothan as he smiled and Wura nodded her head.
"Just like Liam, he is a human as well" replied Malcom as Liam turned back to look at them as Wura's eyes met his, but he said nothing at all as Wura looked away from him slowly.
"The merchant said that we should continue on in this direction, and it will be a journey of three days" said Darla as she returned too quickly for Wura's liking.
"Alright then" said Liam as they continued on.
