"What ae are we going to do when we reach the Waterfalls?" asked Elihu as he looked at Mero, they were almost there, unlike that other day that they came here, there were no obstructions on the road, which meant that they would reach there soon.
"We have to find the supposed gate to the Yonder Realm" said Mero as he replied and he looked a Elihu.
"And where exactly is that?" asked Zuph.
"I do not know, the diviner was not so gracious as to tell us where he gate is" said Mero as he scoffed, another reason why he hated diviners, they were not straightforward, not at all, they always had an alternate reason for what they did, just to play with your life and give you nothing but false hope.
"You really think that we will find a gate there?" asked Elihu.
"I do not think anything, but when we reach there, we will know for sure, after all, it is still early, I am sure that we will have time to search for the gate, wherever it is" said Mero as Elihu and Zuph decided to keep quiet, they could tell that Mero was annoyed, even though he did not show it, it was obvious in his tone, this whole thing was not brining him in a good mood at all.
"How long till we reach the waterfalls?" asked Luc as he shouted out from the carriage as both he and Zechariah were driving it.
"I do not know for sure, about a few hours left" replied Mero.
"Alright then" said Luc as he decided to rest assured that they would reach there soon.
Mero kept on looking ahead as he was occupied in his own thoughts, he could not help but think that maybe all that the diviner had said was true, it would only mean that this was far more dangerous than they had expected.
…
Wura had not been able to sleep, not at all, she had just spent her time idly looking out the carriage window as they passed through many trees, it was a wonderful Spring's day, and the sun was so warm and fuzzy, and the sky clear blue, and yet she did not feel as happy as that on the inside.
Wura sighed for the one hundredth time as she looked at Nora and she smiled as she was still sleeping, and then she moved to look out the window again, she could promise you that every single tree looked so identical, so much so that she had grown weary of looking at them, even though she was sure that if she had looked at them at a closer distance, she would have seen just how individual all the trees were.
Wura started to play with a loose stand of her hair to while away time, it was frustrating being stuck in this four cornered box, she would have preferred to be out there, on a horse riding like Mero and the others, they were lucky, they could breathe the fresh air and feel the warm wind in their faces, while she was stuck in here.
Wura kept on thinking as she prayed that they would reach where they were going soon, she was getting bored and annoyed, and in that same moment, as if her prayers were answered, the carriage finally came to a stop.
Wura waited for a few moments to make sure that they had stopped for good, and when she was sure that they had, she turned to Nora and she gently patted Nora's shoulder to wake her up.
"Nora, Nora wake up, we are here" said Wura as she tried to wake up Nora gently as Nora yawned and she opened her eyes.
"My Queen?" asked Nora as she yawned.
"We have arrived Nora, finally" said Wura as she smiled and she quickly stood up as she did not waste a single second at all as she opened the carriage door and she got down herself.
"My Queen, I was just coming to get you" said Zechariah as he was surprised to see Wura as she got down from the carriage herself, she was very, very eager, they could all see that.
"I can help myself down" replied Wura.
"So are we here? Are we at the waterfalls yet?" asked Wura as she did not waste any time and she looked at Mero with her eyes searching for answers.
"No my Queen, we are not there yet, the waterfalls are up there" said Mero as he pointed to what looked like a small group of mountains as Wura looked at it.
"That looks very far away" said Wura as considering from where they stopped it was clear that they were not going to go any further and they would have to walk.
"Not really, it only requires some walking, we cannot go there with the carriage" replied Mero.
"Alright then, let us go then" said Wura as she did not wait for Mero and the others as she started to walk ahead without them in the direction that Mero pointed.
"She really is eager to get there" said Luc.
"You can see that" said Mero.
"Anyway, get the bags from the carriage, Elihu, take her Majesty's horse along with yours, and meet us ahead, Zuph come with me" said Mero as he gave his orders and they all went to do as he was told.
Nora came out of the carriage only to see that Wura was long gone and only the men were left here, which made her feel uneasy, she quickly walked to get the bags as she caught the attention of them all as they spoke.
"Do not worry about that, I will get the bags" said Zechariah as he looked at Nora and he smiled.
"Ahh, thank you" said Nora as she gave a slight bow.
"Where did her Majesty go?" asked Nora as Zuph pointed in the direction.
"Thank you" said Nora as she gave another quick bow and she quickly rushed in the direction that Zuph pointed in, she did not want to be left alone with these men any longer, it was obvious that they did not like her at all.
"Come on let us go now" said Mero as he sighed and Zuph nodded as he followed after him.
…
"My Queen, my Queen please wait for me" said Nora as she quickly ran after Wura, she panted as Wura stopped walking and she turned to look at her.
"Why are you running Nora?" asked Wura as she stopped and Nora finally caught up to her as she stopped running and she panted.
"I… I… I did not want you to go all alone my Queen" said Nora as she lied and she heaved.
"Well you should not have run Nora, now look, you are tired" said Wura.
"Do you feel okay? Do you need some water?" asked Wura in worry.
"No My Queen, I am alright, I just need a moment to… to catch my breath" said Nora as she breathed through her mouth.
"Alright, you feel better now?" asked Wura.
"Yes my Queen" said Nora as she nodded her head.
"Alright then, let us go" said Wura as she saw Mero and the others catching up to them as she turned around to walk and Nora followed after her as she nodded her head.
Mero got down from his horse as he held it by it's reins and he walked to Wura as they continued on towards the mountains.
"Why is this place called the waterfalls?" asked Wura as she looked at Mero, this place was very strange, there was no water flowing here at all, and yet it bore the name of a Waterfall.
"Well a long time ago, there used to be a might river right here, on this dry ground that we are walking on, and there was a waterfall right there on top of those mountains" said Mero as he pointed.
"So what happened, what happened to all the water?" asked Wura.
"One day, all the water suddenly stopped flowing, no one knew how or why, but it stopped, and this place that was named after its wonderful Waterfalls was left like that, the name is ironic now, seeing as the land is bare with no sigh of water at all" said Mero.
"Then they should change the name then" said Wura.
"Well people would not like that, it will destroy the memories and the story behind this place" said Mero as he replied and he looked ahead.
"Well people should stop holding to a past that Is no longer there… changes happen, and sometimes there is nothing we can do to stop those changes" said Wura.
"Hmm" replied Mero as the others all kept quiet as they said nothing at all.
"What are we doing right now?" asked Wura as Mero walked up a steep ledge with his horse as he stopped to help Wura up and he helped Nora up against her will.
"We are looking for the gate my Queen, the diviner did not tell us where exactly it is" said Mero.
"Ahh…" said Wura as they continued on walking,
"Wait…" said Mero as he stopped.
"What is it?" asked Wura as Mero moved her back gently.
"There is someone, or something watching us" said Mero as he looked around and the others started to be on alert.
"And how exactly do you know that?" asked Wura in confusion.
"Believe me my Queen, I know when there is danger near, please stay put" said Mero as he could hear some rustling as Wura thought that he was overreacting again.
"My Queen, good noon" came a male voice as Wura gasped and she turned to look in the direction that the voice came from as Mero and the others brought out their swords as they saw a shot little man with a hunchback as he closed one eye.
"Good noon my Queen, I have been waiting for you" said the man.
"What in the…" said Elihu as he did not like the look of this at all.
"Who are you and what do you want?" asked Elihu.
"My Queen, please follow me now" said the man as he paid no attention to the others at all and he kept his eyes focused on Wura alone,
