"Why are you pushing everyone away?" asked Wura as she looked at Mero and Mero did not say anything at all, as he only looked at her.
"Tell me why Mero?" asked Wura.
"I am not pushing anyone away my Queen" replied Mero.
"You lie Mero, you are lying" said Wura as she did not have time for this, not at all, this was no time for this.
"Why were you reprimanding them, when all they did was to bring me where I asked them to bring me?" asked Wura.
"They should not have told you anything" said Mero as he was scolding, Elihu, Zuph, Luc and Zechariah internally right now, he could not deal with this problem right now, Wura was not supposed to be here, she was supposed to be back at the Castle, recovering.
"And why not?" asked Wura.
"Because things like this should not concern you my Queen, I gave you my word" said Mero.
"What do you mean things like this should not concern me?" asked Wura as she could not believe what she was hearing right now.
"This concerns me, this concerns me so much" said Wura.
"It is my husband that is missing after all, and not yours!" said Wura as she could not control herself right now, she was angry, Mero was saying nonsense, absolute nonsense.
"My Queen, please calm down" said Mero as he could tell that she was upset, and it was not good for her to be, not right now in this state that she was in.
"How can you tell me to calm down Mero?? How just how?" asked Wura as she could not do what he was asking her to.
"My husband, is out there, Liam is out there missing, while I am in here, and we cannot find him… we cannot find him, and it kills me, this uncertainty that we cannot find him, you cannot imagine the way I feel" said Wura as she felt like crying right now, but she did not want to do that, she was speaking to Mero seriously, and she needed to remain strong.
"My Queen, believe me, I know how you feel, which is why I am trying my best to find him" said Mero as he sighed.
"You cannot find him alone, which is why the others all trying to help" said Wura.
"It is not in their place to help" said Mero.
"Why?? Just why? Tell me why you want to do things on your own?" asked Wura as she jus felt worse with every reply that Mero gave her.
Mero did not say anything as he just looked at Wura, this was why he did not want her here, why he did not want to face her until he had found Liam, because he knew that she would react like this, it was only normal for her to, but he was only trying to find Liam, just like she wanted him to.
"The way you say things, it makes it look like you do not want to find Liam at all" said Wura.
"That is not true My Queen, not at all, I want to find him, with all my heart, I do" said Mero.
"Then why will you not receive help from people who want to help you?" asked Wura as she wanted to understand him, she wanted to get why he was being like this, Wura knew that she did not know Mero well, but from the little she had seen, he had to be a good person for Liam to trust him so much, which was why she trusted him as well.
"Because they did nothing wrong" said Mero.
"I am to blame for what happened" said Mero as he looked away from Wura and Wura felt her heart sink, there she was, thinking that she had been the only one suffering, meanwhile Mero was there, with no one to turn to, as she put an even heavier burden on him.
"I was there when it happened, and all I could do was stand there, I had a choice, I could have chosen to follow orders or not, but I did, and I regret It" said Mero as he could not bring himself to look at Wura.
Wura felt tears dropping from her eyes, she could hear the despair in Mero's tone, as he knew that what she had said about him not wanting to find Liam had hurt him.
"I should have disobeyed his orders, I knew that look in his eyes, he was telling me to save you, and go, and leave him there, I was torn between what to do" said Mero.
"I should not have listened to him, no matter how much he refused, I should have tried my best to rescue him, but all he wanted, was for you to be safe" said Mero.
"I just left him there… to suffer, and I blame myself so much, I do not consider myself Liam's trusted confidant, not anymore, not when I could not save him when he needed me the most" said Mero as he kept his gaze down.
"No, do not say that Mero, do not say that at all" said Wura.
"Because if you are to blame, then I am to blame as well" said Wura as she cried.
"It is as much my fault as it is yours" said Wura as she cried and Mero looked at her.
"My Queen, nothing is your fault" said Mero as Wura looked at him.
"No Mero, it was my fault" said Wura.
"If only I had stayed at the Castle, if only I did not go after him, If only, I had listened to him and stay put, then maybe he would still be here today" said Wura as she smiled sadly and she sniffed as she dried her tears.
"Mero, we are both to blame here" said Wura as she sniffed.
"But, this is no time to regret, it is time for us to find a way forward, and to find Liam… because all I want, is to see him again" said Wura as more tears were dropping from her eyes.
"I am trying my best my Queen" said Mero.
"I know that Mero, I know that you are, but sometimes, your best is not enough" said Wura as she dried her tears.
"You need help, and the others, they care for Liam in the same way that you do" said Wura.
"And they all are as equally worried as we are" said Wura.
"So please explain to them, and allow them to help you, for my sake and for yours as well" said Wura.
"This is getting too long now, we have not been able to find Liam for six days now, and every single passing day, my heart fails more and more" said Wura.
"So please, allow them to help you Mero" said Wura.
"Please Mero, please" said Wura as she pleaded with Mero and Mero sighed, he knew that she was right, him pushing everyone away would get them nowhere.
"Alright my Queen, I will do as you asked" said Mero as he nodded his head.
"Thank you Mero" said Wura as she sniffed and she smiled and Mero just nodded his head.
"My Queen, I am sorry to say this, but in the possibility that we find Liam, and he is not… alive…" said Mero as he did not want to have to say this, but it was necessary for him to.
"No, do not go there Mero, do not say that, he is alive, I know that he is" said Wura in all seriousness.
"Alright my Queen" said Mero as he nodded his head, he really admired her assurance, he wished that he could have as much hope as she did, but he just could not, not at all.
"Yes" said Wura as she sniffed, she felt so much better now, to know that she was not the only one feeling guilty, but they should not dwell on the guilt right now, they should only focus on finding Liam.
"Mero, I have a question" said Wura as she remembered something.
"Ask whatever it is that is on your mind my Queen" said Mero.
"When I decided to come out here to meet you" said Wura.
"I believed that I would see lots of destruction everywhere, that day, the sky was crashing down, the ground was shaking, and the wind was blowing, I expected to see the Kingdom in ruins, but I saw nothing of that sort at all, it even looks like nothing that happened that day happened at all, why is that?" asked Wura as she was confused, it made no sense to her.
It not for what happened that day, and with Liam being unable to be found, she would think that everything that happened was a dream, a horrible nightmare that she woke up from.
"My Queen, the thing is…" said Mero as he paused.
