Wura and Nora walked through the halls of the Castle, well Nora had insisted on going alone with Wura, just to make sure that she would be alright, and Wura did not refute at all, she realized that as long as she let Nora do whatever she wanted, she would be left alone.
Wura walked to the training grounds, she knew that she would find some knights here, she was looking for Zechariah and the others, if there was anyone that would know what Mero was up to and what was going on outside the Castle walls, it would be them.
The training grounds were completely empty, void of any signs of people once being here, there were no knights in sight at all, usually they would be here training, but that was not the case now.
"My Queen, there is no one here" said Nora as Wura turned to look at her, yes, she could see that, there was no one here, but she needed to find Elihu, Zechariah, Zuph and Luc, either one of them.
"Nora, would you by any chance know where the knights are?" asked Wura as she looked at Nora.
"Well no my Queen, I do not know where they are not at all" said Nora as she shook her head, she had not be aware of the things happening In the Castle, her main concern was making sure that Wura recovered swiftly and in good health.
"Nora, if the knights are not training, where would they be?" asked Wura as she moved back into the Castle, the sun was shinning brightly outside and it was making her feel dizzy, she had not been outside in such a long time.
"My Queen, they would probably be in their quarters, they are usually served their meals there" said Nora as she explained.
"Take me there Nora, please" said Wura as Nora could not refute her when she asked something of her like that.
"As you wish my Queen" said Nora as she bowed her head and she led the way as Wura followed after her.
…
Silence, that was reigned between, Elihu, Zechariah, Zuph and Luc as they all had a solemn expression on their faces.
"We cannot just sit here doing nothing and waiting, we cannot" said Zuph as he stood up, he looked angry, this was just unfair, how could they sit here, doing nothing, while Mero was out there, trying to find Liam, this was unfair.
"Please calm down Zuph, you know that it is not by choice" said Zechariah as he sighed, he also felt the way Zuph did, but he was trying to remain calm and positive.
"Zechariah is right Zuph, it is not by choice, I am sure that if we all had a say, we would be out there looking for him as well" replied Luc, they all felt the same way Zuph felt, but they were trying not to disobey orders, they only wanted for Liam to be found.
"It is unfair that we are told to just sit here, being useless, why are we knights if we can do nothing to help in an actual time of need" said Elihu as he felt like punching something, but he could not risk destroying anything.
"This is injustice, to us and to Liam" said Elihu as he stood up.
"We are his men as well, we need to be out there, looking for him as well" said Elihu as he sounded frustrated, they all were.
In that same moment, there was a knock on the door, as they all turned to look at each other, they were not expecting anyone, not at all.
"Enter" said Zechariah as the others sighed and the door opened as Nora walked in and Wura followed after her.
"My Queen…" said Zechariah in surprise as Elihu, Luc and Zuph all turned to look at Wura.
"Your Majesty?" asked Zuph and Luc in surprise as they looked at Wura, she was the last person that they expected to see here.
"My Queen… what brings you here?" asked Zechariah as he stood up from his seat and he bowed down in front of Wura as the others did the same as they paid respect to Wura.
"I came here to speak to you… all of you" said Wura as Zechariah looked up.
"Of course my Queen, please sit down" said Zuph as he gestured that Wura sit down, and she did so, as Nora stood beside her and they all stood up.
"My Queen, please accept our apologies, we did not come to see you, when we heard the news, and for that… we are sorry" said Luc as he looked at Wura, when they heard from Mero what had happened, and how Wura was not well, they did not go and see her, maybe out of guilt, that they were unable to find her husband their King.
"There is no need to apologize" said Wura as her voice did not sound like it had any emotion, it was just plain.
"We are sorry my Queen, what sort of knights are we, when we did not even come to see or ask how you were doing" said Zechariah, so much for them being good knights.
"Like I said, there is no need to apologize, I am sure that you all had your reasons" said Wura.
"My Queen, how do you feel now?" asked Zuph.
"Better" replied Wura and they all looked at one another, Wura sounded so sad, but what did they expect, from what Mero had told them, she was despaired by them being unable to find Liam.
"My Queen, what do you want to speak to us about?" asked Luc as he saw that Wura looked very serious.
"About Liam…" replied Wura as her voice trailed off, she did not want to cry, she told herself that she would not cry, not here, she came here to find information, and not to cry.
Elihu, Zuph, Zechariah and Luc all went quiet when they heard Wura mention Liam.
"My Queen… we have been unable to find him, but we will soon" said Zechariah as he spoke up, but Wura did not reply to him at all.
"Mero promised me that he would find him, and that was three days ago, Mero has not returned since then" said Wura as she could not see Mero with them at all, and they all looked frustrated.
"Why are you not with Mero looking for Liam?" asked Wura.
"Because Mero ordered us to go back, he refused for us to aid him to find Liam" said Elihu as his tone sounded very angry.
"Why is that?" asked Wura as she could not understand why, to her, the more people who were involved the better it was for them to find Liam quicker.
"My Queen… it would seem that Mero blames himself for… for what happened, and so, he is bent on finding Liam himself" said Zuph as he spoke up, he found that stupid, if they all worked together, they could find Liam as soon as possible.
"Oh…" said Wura as she could not blame Mero for doing so… after all, just like her, he was there, and he did nothing to help Liam out of there at all.
"Yes my Queen, it is injustice, we have as much right to go out there and look for Liam as he does, it is not only on him, but on all of us, we all care for Liam, we are all his men, so if he is out there, we want to be out there with him as well!" said Zuph.
"Then why did you listen to him and come back to the Castle?" asked Wura.
"My Queen, we could not disobey Mero, he is higher than us in rank, and if we did not obey, we risked starting an argument, which was not needed at that point in time, so we had no other choice than to go back" said Zechariah.
"I see" said Wura as Elihu looked at her, he could see that there was no more life in her eyes, they looked dead, she did not smile at all, she was usually always happy, but now… she looked like she was tired of life.
Elihu was sure now that Wura was the person who was affected most by all of this, she was there when it all happened after all.
"Do you know where Mero is now?" asked Wura.
"Yes my Queen, he set up camp not too far from the Castle, he should be there" said Zuph as he answered.
"Alright" said Wura as she knew that they would be of no help to her to know what exactly was going on, just like her, they were stuck here.
"I want you to take me to see Mero, can you do that?" asked Wura as she needed answers, and they all went quiet as they looked at each other and then at her.
"I asked a question, will you be able to take me there or not?" asked Wura once again when they did not reply.
"My Queen, I do not think that would be a good…" said Zechariah as he was cut off.
"Yes my Queen, we will take you there" said Elihu as he cut Zechariah off and Zechariah, Luc and Zuph all turned to look at him in surprise.
"Good, we will leave by noon" said Wura as she stood up and she walked away as Nora followed behind her and she opened the door for her as she walked out of the room.
