Wura walked into Liam's study, she was relieved, seeing as this was Liam's personal quarters, but luckily for her, she did not run into him at all, which was odd considering that his room was here, but then again, he was King and Wura understood if he was busy.
She just did not want to see him, not right now at least, after their whole fight last night during dinner about kisses, Wura just felt embarrassed.
She thought it over and she realized just how immaturely she had behaved, she did not know where she got her boldness from she was concerned, she could not believe that she actually pinched him… she pinched the King of Wyverdale, and she felt no remorse at all, she could have never thought that she would have been able to do such a thing.
And not only did she pinch him, but she pinched him on his thigh, Wura wondered just what came over her, she was too bold, just too bold, and all because he kissed her on the cheek, and not even on the lips, she wondered what was wrong with her.
And when Liam said that he would only kiss her when she asked him to, it just made her feel even more terrible… he said that she was his wife… if she did not let him kiss her, then would that not be the same as she telling him to go find another woman to kiss??
No, no Wura stopped her thoughts, they were going to far now, even if he did find another woman to kiss, that was none of her concern at all, it did and it would not bother her at all, yes, it would not bother her, she did not care at all.
Wura just sighed as she walked to the couch and she sat down as she placed the records in her hands on the small table.
She did not want to intrude on Liam's space and use his desk, this was his sacred place after all, which was why she wondered why he had allowed her to use it.
But regardless, Wura just hoped that Lady Marli would order that the other study be cleaned for her, so she could just work there, it would be better for her there.
Wura wondered how Nora was doing now, if her father was better, she was worried, and also she missed Nora, Nora meant so much to her, she was someone that she could not do without, Wura just felt so lonely ever since Nora left yesterday, so she found it better for her to use her loneliness and boredom to try to do some good and look through some records, at least that would keep her busy.
She had no inspiration to paint right now, sometimes that happened, and well it was only normal, her inspiration would return soon, but for now she would just do this task on hand.
Wura began to look through the records as she compared them, she was so focused that she did not even notice when Liam walked into his study.
Liam saw Wura sitting on the couch as she looked very serious, it made him smile, he had never seen her so focused and serious before, she looked cute.
Liam cleared his throat as if subtly trying to announce his presence as Wura furrowed her brows and she looked up to see Liam standing right there, in front of her, she almost jumped up from fright, but then she realized that it was only Liam standing there, so she calmed herself down.
"Oh Liam… when did you enter?" asked Wura as she sighed in relief, she did not even hear the door open, or hear him walk in.
"Not too long ago" said Liam as he smiled.
"Wait, so you have been watching me?" asked Wura as she narrowed her eyes at him, she found his answer very suspicious.
"What do you think Wura?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"Well I personally think that the great King Liam of Wyverdale has time to be standing and watching maidens as they are busy in their own thoughts" said Wura as she smiled.
"You are right, I do not have time to watch maidens" said Liam as he smiled.
"I only watch you" said Liam as he smiled and Wura just looked at him, he really did love teasing her for no reason at all, so Wura just scoffed at him.
"What are you doing here?" asked Wura.
"This is my study after all" replied Liam as he smiled.
"Oh…" said Wura as she realized that she had asked the wrong question, she was the one in his personal space, he should have asked her that question, now she felt bad for being ignorant with her words.
"You are looking through some records?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"Ahh… yes, I am, there are still a lot of them, which was why Lady Marli recommended that I work in a study" said Wura.
"Yes, I know, and I happily suggested that you can use mine" said Liam as he smiled, he did not want to sound too happy before Wura suspected anything.
"Yes…" said Wura as Liam himself was even surprised that she agreed to use his study, he had expected her to refuse, maybe she thought that she would not run into him here, well she was wrong about that.
"Although this is only temporary, till the other study is cleaned for my use" said Wura as she explained, she wanted him to know that this was not a permanent arrangement.
"I see" said Liam as he smiled.
"Why do you not use the desk? I am sure that position is uncomfortable" said Liam as he smiled.
"Ahh… well no, I am fine like this, besides, I do not want to impose in your personal space" said Wura.
"You will not be imposing Wura" said Liam as he smiled.
"But regardless, if that is how you feel, then you can do what makes you comfortable" said Liam as he smiled.
"Thank you" said Wura as she wondered what he was doing here, sure it was his study, but he was supposed to be busy at this moment, after all, they did not go horse riding today simply because he was too busy to go along with her, so she wondered why he was here.
"Liam, why are you here?" asked Wura rather bluntly as Liam smiled, he knew that she wanted to avoid him, and stay away from him, but he would not let her.
"Well I forgot an important document here, and I came to get it" said Liam as he smiled and he walked to his desk.
"Oh… I see" said Wura.
"Here it is" said Liam as he found what he was looking for and he smiled.
"Okay" said Wura as she narrowed her eyes at him, did he not already find what he was looking for? Then how come he was still here, and he was even sitting down on his desk, she wanted to question him, but she thought that maybe he would leave soon, but Liam looked too comfortable for Wura's liking.
"Are you not leaving?" asked Wura as she looked at him and Liam just smiled, he knew that she would be so honest as to ask him that directly, to her dismay, he would not be leaving, or at least not any time soon.
"I will leave soon… I just need to check some things first" said Liam as he smiled.
"Ah… I see" said Wura as she nodded her head, she could not wait for him to leave, she preferred to be alone here, she would be able to focus that way.
"I see that you are looking through some records… why is that?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"I was bored, so I decided to work on something" said Wura as she did not know why she explained her reason so simply to him, she wondered why she found it so easy to talk to him, or at least that was sometimes.
"I see" said Liam.
"Why did you not read?" asked Liam as he knew that she loved to read.
"Well I am currently reading a book, but I do not want it to end so soon" said Wura.
"I see, and why do you not paint then?" asked Liam.
"I have no inspiration to" said Wura as she looked at Liam.
"Oh why is that?" asked Liam.
"I do not know, but it sometimes happens" said Wura.
"Hmm" said Liam as he nodded his head.
"Well I know what, or rather who can bring back your inspiration" said Liam as he smiled.
"What?" asked Wura out of curiosity.
"Me, I am a good source of inspiration" said Liam as he smiled and Wura started to laugh.
"Oh no Liam, just no" said Wura as she laughed and she shook her head.
"What is so funny?" asked Liam as he also started to laugh.
"You are not a source of inspiration, but rather annoyance" said Wura as she laughed.
"Well I personally believe that annoyance and inspiration can sometimes go hand in hand" said Liam as he smiled.
"Well not in this case Liam, I doubt that I would be able to concentrate if I try to draw inspiration for you" said Wura as she laughed.
"You never know unless you try" said Liam.
"Well in this case, I do not want to try Liam" said Wura as she laughed, she had to thank him, he made her laugh, even though what he said was just silly, but she really needed to laugh.
"Why do you not give yourself the chance to try it?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"Well simply because I am not ready to" said Wura as she smiled and she replied and she looked at him.
"Hmm, well alright then" said Liam as he smiled.
"Yes" said Wura as she smiled.
"So how are you?" asked Liam as he smiled, he liked it better when she laughed, earlier when he walked in, he could tell that she looked so… lonely.
"Well I am good now" said Wura as she smiled.
"Why were you not good before?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"Well I was feeling rather lonely, with Nora gone home… I miss her so much" said Wura as she smiled.
"Well she will return soon" said Liam as he smiled.
"I know…" said Wura as she smiled, she liked it when she and Liam just spoke calmly like this, no arguments, no fighting, no nothing, only calmness.
"But well if you feel lonely, you have me to talk to" said Liam as he smiled.
"Liam I am sure that you are done checking whatever you need to check if you have time to talk to me now" said Wura as she smiled, he was getting too comfortable here, and well, if he was here, they would keep on talking, not that she did not want someone to talk to, but he was distracting, in a good way.
"That I am" said Liam as he smiled and he stood up, he did not want to push Wura too far, he would take it bit by bit, little by little, he did not want to force himself on her.
"I will see you later" said Liam as he smiled.
"See you…" said Wura as she smiled and Liam walked out of the study with a smile.
Wura looked at the records as she smiled, was it a bad thing that she was actually looking forward to seeing him later?
"Stop thinking like that Wura" said Wura to herself as she shook her head, she had to snap out of her thoughts, she had to stay away from Liam, she was getting too used to him, and if he was to change overnight, it would hurt her that the Liam that Is with her now was gone.
Wura just sighed as she continued on with what she was doing, this was much more important than the many thoughts that she herself could not understand.
…
Wura was in Liam's study once again, this was the third day that she had been here, and it was not by choice, not at all, especially not now that Liam had decided to come and work in his study today for a change.
Yesterday, he had come to his study, under the pretence of forgetting yet another important document here again, but Wura just let him do whatever he wanted as she focused, but now today, he had made up some sort of excuse about his office being cleaned today and that he was going to work here instead.
Wura would not refute him not to work in his study, it was his after all, but she was just annoyed right now, she was trying to avoid him, and yet here he was.
Wura was tired of the whole thing, yesterday she had asked Lady Marli if any of the other studies had been cleaned yet, but she gave her an unreasonable excuse of the maids being too busy to get on to cleaning one of the studies, Wura just smiled as she nodded her head, and she was forced to work here… again.
Wura looked at Liam as he looked very serious and focused on what he was doing, Wura looked back down, she could sense some foul play here, she knew that Liam was the cause of all this, he must have made Lady Marli not order the maids to clean any other study just in an attempt to keep her here, he was so unbelievable that it annoyed her so much.
But Wura was not going to give him the sweet gratification of seeing her annoyed, she could as well play any game that he was playing.
So Wura just focused on what she was reading as she left Liam to do whatever he wanted to do, but she would not speak to him at all, it would only encourage him.
Wura was reading what she was reading when she cleared her throat, for some odd reason she could feel Liam's gaze on her, it made her feel uncomfortable, why was he looking at her? Did he not have something else better to do than to stare at her?
Wura decided to ignore him and act like she did not know that he was looking at her, even though it was difficult, she felt like he could burn a hole through her at this point, and then, she just could not take it any longer.
"What?!" asked Wura as she turned to look at Liam and she snapped at him.
"What do you mean what?" asked Liam as he looked at her, feigning ignorance.
"You are watching me, why?" asked Wura as she looked at him and she glared at him.
"Do I not have the freedom to look wherever I want to look?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"Yes, you do, but that does not apply when you are looking at me like that, it makes me uncomfortable, stop it" said Wura.
"It makes you uncomfortable?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"Yes" said Wura.
"Why?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"Do not ask me why, just stop it Liam" said Wura as she could not explain to him why, she could not.
"Oh, alright then… as you wish, I will stop looking at you" said Liam as he smiled, at least now he knew that she noticed him, and his gaze made her uncomfortable, he did not know if that was a good thing or a bad thing, but he would prefer to believe that it was a good thing.
"Thank you" said Wura in annoyance as she looked away from him and went back to what she was doing, he was just too much at all times, she wondered if he found his games funny or what, well she did not find them funny, no not at all, they were just irritating to her.
Liam went back to doing what he was doing as he smiled, he had to say that he was becoming quite mischievous with Wura as of late, to the point that he had ordered that his office be cleaned today, even if it was not cluttered at all, he just wanted to come here and stay here with her, watching her, being with her, he just loved to be with her, even though she did not seem to like it as well.
Liam was just minding his own business when he heard Wura suddenly stand up, at first he was scared that maybe she was leaving, because he would not be able to find a good enough reason to bring her back, but he was relieved when he saw that she was walking towards his desk.
"Liam, I need your help here" said Wura as she placed the record on his desk, there was something that she did not understand.
"I see" said Liam as he stood up, he knew that he could have just looked at what she asked him to look at while sitting down, but he wanted to be close to her, so he came to stand right beside her.
"I do not know what this is" said Wura as she did not seem to mind that Liam was standing beside her right now as she picked up the record and she gave it to Liam and she pointed to what she did not understand.
"I see…" said Liam as he read through the record, and he was about to reply to her when suddenly Wura shrieked.
"Liam!! Liam!!!! Liam!!" said Wura as she screeched in fear as she clung to Liam like a scared little girl, and that caught Liam of guard.
"Liam!!!" screeched Wura once again panicked.
