'The words of King Alaric Frederick Amadeus Grayson Peterson Wyverdale the third.
I King Alaric Frederick Amadeus, write down my final testament as King… following the day of my death my son, Liam Alaric Nigel Phillip Wyverdale, my only son and heir shall ascend the Throne and become King of Wyverdale, a position that was created for him since his birth.
There is no room for argument, he shall be King, and the entire Kingdom shall belong to him, everything that I own now belongs to him.
On the day of my death, to assure the people that I have ascended into greater glory, whether there be rain, it shall clear up and the sun shall shine, whether it be heat, it shall snow, and whether it shall now, there shall be heat, whether the leaves of the tree wither, they shall grown anew again, this shall be a sign unto you that I am in a place where no sorrow shall be, where no sickness shall be, where light shines forever.
On the day of my death, my beloved Son Liam shall be coronated and introduced to the people as the new King, and I am sure he will rule justly and peacefully.
There shall be on crying on the day of my death, because it will not be a day of sadness, but a day of Joy, to welcome a new King to the people, to send me off as rightly as I do deserve.
To my faithful people and subjects, and my wonderful son and his wife, I bid you all farewell, because the times change, the seasons change, the Kings Change but it is he who remains the same in the end.
These are the last and final words of King Alaric of Wyverdale the Great.
…
The flags of the Kingdom had been raised high to alert the people that the King had died, the news spread quickly to several parts of the Kingdom as people began to mourn and some began to journey down to the Capital in order to attend the Coronation of Liam as King.
The Kingdom was being cleaned and prepared for the Coronation that would be held in the middle of the town, it was a bitter and joyful day for the people, bitter because their great King was now gone, but joyful because they were about to witness a beautiful moment, one that only happened once in a lifetime.
"My Princess, you look very beautiful" said Nora as she smiled and she did Wura's hair as Wura just started blankly at her reflection in the dressing table mirror.
She looked beautiful but she did not feel beautiful at all, Nora had begged her not to cry, and she did not want to make Nora work even more than she needed to do, so she sucked back her tears in, she had to be strong, she knew that was what her mother would say.
And yet her mind could not keep but to wonder how Liam was feeling now, she did not want to bother him, but she was sure that this was hard for him, even more than it was for her, and he was going to become King on the same day his father had passed, this was just too much.
"Nora… what will happen at the Coronation?" asked Wura as she did not know anything at all, she did not know how things would be done, what would be carried out and what was expected of her.
"My princess, I myself am not sure" said Nora.
"But the Priest will organise everything, he will be the one to Coronate his highness" said Nora as that was one fact she was very sure of.
"I see" said Wura as she sighed, she felt so overwhelmed , everything was just so fast… too fast, that she felt like it was all being rushed.
"My princess are you alright?" asked Nora as she noticed that Wura did not look well at all.
"Nora I am… I am not fine" said Wura as she sighed, was she bad luck? How come it was when she and Liam returned that his highness suddenly became ill?? Why??
"I still miss his Majesty…" said Wura as tears began to form in her eyes but she blinked to dry them out, Nora had worked too much for her to ruin her work with her tears.
"My princess, I miss him as well" said Nora as she sighed, just because she kept on smiling did not mean that she was not sad, she was sad, all of them were, but it was her duty to do her job and that was to take care of Wura, which was why she was trying to make Wura feel better, but it was certain that she had failed.
"It was all just too sudden… I did not even get to say goodbye properly" said Wura as she sniffed.
"My Princess, it took us all by surprise as well" said Nora as she shook her head.
"Just yesterday he was alright, he was very fine, he had eaten dinner, and he did not appear ill at all, he still smiled and greeted all of us like he usually did" said Nora as she explained and tears welled her eyes, she was very sad, Alaric was always so nice to every single one of them, he treated them equal and not like a maid or a worker.
"Life is not fair… it takes away good people" said Wura as she sniffed, she was crushed.
"My princess, please do not cry anymore, you need to be strong for the people, they will all be looking to you for strength in this very important time" said Nora as she wiped away her tears hurriedly.
"I will not cry Nora… I will not" said Wura as she sniffed and Nora began to finish up, it would be time for the Coronation soon.
…
"Tell me that this is false" said Elihu as he looked at the others as they all had a sombre expression on all their faces.
"Elihu… it is not false" said Zechariah as he sighed and he looked at Elihu with a serious, sad expression on his face.
"His Majesty… his Majesty passed away at Noon" said Zuph as he added and he looked at Elihu, they all felt sad, the mood in the Kingdom right now was not happy at all, it was devastated.
"No, this cannot be" said Elihu as he could not believe this at all and he looked around as he sighed.
"It is the truth Elihu" said Luc.
"And where is Liam, is he aware?" asked Elihu.
"He was there when his Majesty passed, he had just arrived from Cornwalk when a guard rushed to tell him the news" said Zechariah.
"Oh good Lord" said Elihu as he sighed.
"And how is he?" asked Elihu as he knew that Liam cherished his father, and he must have been feeling very horrible right now.
"I doubt he is doing well at all" said Luc.
"Mero went to see him" said Zuph.
"His Majesty was such… he was such a kind man" said Elihu as he sighed, he treated them all like his sons, the same way he treated Liam, and they all respected him.
"He was always so happy, so jovial and funny" said Luc as he smiled sadly.
"Liam needs us all now more than ever" said Zechariah.
"When is the Coronation?' asked Elihu.
"This evening" said Zuph and Elihu sighed.
…
"Liam??" asked Mero as he walked into a room and he called for Liam.
"Liam… are you here?" asked Mero as he walked deeper into the room and he heard the subtle, stifled sobs of a man coming from another room.
"Oh Liam" said Mero as he sighed and he walked into the room, he knew that Liam would be greatly affected by the King's death, and there he was, he found Liam staring blankly as tears fell from his eyes.
"Liam… accept my condolences" said Mero as that was all he could say as he bowed his head, he knew that Liam was in pain now.
Liam did not reply as he still cried, it was just so painful, so painful, he knew his father would tell him to be strong and happy as he was in a better place now… but it was just too much.
"Liam, my brother, be strong…. He would want that" said Mero and Liam turned to look at him as Liam hugged Mero.
"Be strong" said Mero as he patted Liam on the back, now he had no one, his mother had left him, and now his father was gone as well, he now had no one at all, his beloved father was gone… he was now gone, and he missed him he missed him so much, oh what he would give to hear him call him 'my boy' once again.
