"Here" said Wura as she smiled and she walked into the dining room with smiles, and with a plate of cake in her hands.
"Cake?" asked Liam in surprise as he smiled.
"Yes cake" said Wura as she smiled and she set the cake on the table as she smiled and she sat back down on her seat.
"Why?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"Well because you have been so nice lately your highness, and this is a peace cake" said Wura as she smiled, she knew that she had said that she would not make him any cakes again, but she just could not help it, he had been so nice to her lately, he treated her with respect and kindness, so she wanted to do something kind for him as well.
And well he had also told her about his mother, which was a difficult subject for him, and it showed that he really was trying to be understanding, to make her understand, and she really appreciated that.
"I do not deserve this cake" said Liam as he smiled.
"Believe me your highness when I say that you truly do not" said Wura as she smiled and she agreed with him as she nodded her head.
"I mean, well after you gave the cake I gave you to the maids without even having a taste, I was so upset" said Wura.
"But that was in the past" said Wura as she smiled at him.
"We have agreed to be understanding, and well, why not celebrate with a cake" said Wura as she smiled.
"Ahh, so that is why you bought flour at the market" said Liam as he laughed and he finally understood.
"Yes your highness" said Wura as she laughed, she had planned to bake a cake for him earlier, so it had popped into her head.
"Thank you Wura… I truly do appreciate this" said Liam as he smiled, Wura was just so forgiving and she was just so nice to him, she overlooked all his faults, and he liked that about her.
"You are welcome your highness" said Wura as she smiled.
"Now, do you want a big piece or a small one?" asked Wura as she took the knife from the table and she smiled.
"A small one" said Liam as he smiled.
"Alright then" said Wura as she smiled and she cut out a small piece of cake as she smiled and she placed it on a small plate as she gave it to Liam.
"Thank you" said Liam as he smiled at her, he really did not deserve her kindness, nor her niceness at all she was like a breath of fresh air, she was very refreshing.
"You are welcome" said Wura as she smiled at him and she cut a piece of cake for herself as well.
"It is vanilla flavoured" said Wura as she laughed.
"Mhmm, it tastes delicious" said Liam as he ate the cake with a fork.
"Your highness, you always say that, I am starting to wonder if that is actually true" said Wura as she laughed.
"Well believe me when I say so, because anything you prepare is delicious" said Liam as he smiled and he told the truth, Wura was very skilled even though she did not show it at all, she could do so much more than she even believed.
"You flatter me your highness" said Wura as she smiled and she looked away, she could not handle it when Liam spoke such sweet words to her, her heart began to beat fast, as if she had been running, and she found the feeling uncomfortable.
"I do, because you deserve to be" said Liam as he smiled and Wura cleared her throat as she cut out a piece of cake for herself as she ate it, maybe eating would make her feel better right now, because with the way Liam was speaking to her, she was sure she would have turned beet red, she was happy that she did not seem to notice how she was feeling right now, because he would surely tease her about it.
"I wonder how his Majesty is doing" said Wura as she smiled as she wanted to change the topic of their conversation.
"I am sure he is doing well" said Liam as he smiled.
"I just hope that he is not overworking himself, because he tends to do that quite a lot, and I am afraid that now that I am far from him, he would just do as he pleases" said Liam as he sighed and he shook his head, his father could be too much at times.
"Oh your highness, I am sure that he will be fine, he did promise you that he would take care of himself" said Wura as she laughed.
"And yet I do not believe him one bit" said Liam as he sighed and he shook his head as Wura laughed, she admired the way Liam cared for his father, and the way he and Alaric had a close relationship as father and son, it was just heart-warming.
"Well believe him, I am sure his Majesty will not do anything to jeopardize his health" said Wura as she smiled.
"I believe you are right" said Liam as he looked at Liam and he smiled.
"I like how you always have something good to say" said Liam as he smiled.
"I do try your highness, I do, because always having something good to say is not easy at all" said Wura as she smiled.
"I can imagine, but you just do it so effortlessly that it is hard to believe that it does not come naturally to you" said Liam as he smiled.
"Well your highness, my father always says that in every situation, there is always some good, you just need to look well enough" said Wura as she smiled.
"Your father is right" said Liam as he smiled.
"That is true" said Liam.
"Well your highness, I truly have enjoyed having dinner with you, but it is getting late, and I am tired" said Wura as she smiled, quite frankly, she could not lie that she did not enjoy spending the day with Liam, but that was the thing, she did enjoy spending the day with him, and she decided that she was getting too close, she had to put some space between them, because she clearly did not know what was happening between them right now.
But she could say that she found him very easy to talk with when he was in a good mood, he was always smiling, and he always had something good to say, and most of all he was just good company when he wanted to be.
"I agree with you, I also enjoyed spending the day with you" said Liam as he smiled.
"And thank you for this wonderful dinner, and delicious cake, I really do appreciate it" said Liam as he smiled at her.
"You are welcome your highness" said Wura as she smiled and she stood up as she began to clear the table, she would keep the cake for them to eat tomorrow.
"Goodnight Wura" said Liam as he smiled at her.
"Goodnight your highness" said Wura as she smiled and she walked to the kitchen with the dirty dishes that she was going to wash.
Liam smiled, he had enjoyed the day with Wura, from the way her face lit up when she smiled, to the delightful sound of her laughter when she was happy, and to all the little things she did that made her who she was, Liam was thankful that he had someone like her by his side, to tell the truth, he could not imagine the way he life would have been without her, if they had not been so childish as to end up married.
In all honesty, he was glad that they were married, because he could not imagine anyone else by his side except her, even though she wanted to hide away from him, she wanted to protect herself, but her concerns were truly valid, he himself had to be sure of what he wanted, and only then would he be able to truly offer what he wanted to Wura.
Liam smiled, he liked it when she cooked for him, even though he did not truly show it enough as he should have, he really appreciated the little gestures she did for him, it made him happy to know that someone cared for him, someone cared if he got hurt, if he was sad, or if he was upset.
"*Sigh*, oh Wura, just what have you gotten yourself into?" asked Wura to herself as she sighed and she was alone in the kitchen, now that she thought about it, she was letting herself get too close, too, too close, and she did not want that, she did not want that at all, it was not good for her, or of Liam.
