"Let me take care of that please your highness" said the coachman as he rushed to Liam and he collected the many leather bags from Liam.
"Alright, thank you, be careful, there are eggs in there" said Liam as he smiled at the coachman.
"Yes your highness" said the coachman as he nodded his head and he walked to the carriage.
"Thank you" said Wura as she smiled at Liam and he helped her into the carriage, she had to say that she was getting too used to this, the way he treated her so kindly, and she did not know if it was a good thing or bad thing.
"Well this was my first time in a market" said Liam as he laughed as he sat down across Wura.
"I see" said Wura as she laughed, it was no surprise for her, he was a Prince after all, what business did he have in a market in the first place.
"So how was your first time in the market your highness?" asked Wura as she smiled.
"Well it was noisy for sure, and I have now seen many things that I have not seen before" said Liam as he smiled.
"But all in all, I am glad that my first time going to the market was with you" said Liam as he smiled at Wura.
"*Ahem*" said Wura as she cleared her throat and she looked away from him, the shine in his eyes could easily trap her if she stared at him too long when he smiled at her like that.
"I am glad that you think so your highness" said Wura as she smiled and the carriage began to move.
"The one thing that surprised me though was the number of bags I ended up carrying" said Liam as he laughed.
"Your highness, actually what we bought today was nothing compared to what would have been bought if I was buying foodstuffs that would last a long while" said Wura as she laughed, when she and her mother used to go to the market together, they would go along with some of the manservants in their house, so they would be able to assist them in carrying everything they had bought.
"I truly have a newfound appreciation for the maids that go to the market" said Liam as he laughed, he really did appreciate them, they did their jobs well.
"Everyone deserves to be appreciated" said Wura as she smiled, It was the truth, appreciating people would make them more happy to do their duties with love and diligence, that was what her mother always said.
"That you are right about" said Liam as he smiled at Wura, the atmosphere between them was just so calm and peaceful, like a chat between acquaintances or even closer, they were closer now than ever before.
Wura removed the hood of the cloak she was wearing and Liam did the same as they laughed at each other.
"I find it silly that we had to hide our faces" said Wura as she laughed and she shook her head.
"Well, once the people are alerted of our arrival here in Cornwalk, we would have no time to ourselves" said Liam as he laughed.
"I guess so" said Wura as she took his word for it, she was not used to these sort of things, but Liam was the one who was used to all this, so she would just follow after his lead.
"You know, you look cute when you do that" said Liam as he smiled at Wura.
"When I do what?" asked Wura as she did not understand what he was talking about.
"When you play with your hair like that" said Liam as he smiled, he thought that it made her look rather charming, and much more innocent than she was.
"Ahh… sorry" said Wura as she stopped twirling a strand of her hair with her finger.
"No need to be" said Liam as he chuckled.
"It is a habit of mine…" said Wura as she explained, even though she did not know why she was explaining her reason to him in he first place.
"Does it relieve you?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"In a way… I tend to forget whatever bothers me when I play with my hair… it is a rather… strange habit, and I do not know why or how I developed it" said Wura.
"So is something bothering you now?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"Ah… no, no, not at all your highness" said Wura as she shook her head, how could she tell him that she was bothered about him?? It would only just make things worse instead of better.
"Are you sure?" asked Liam as he smiled her refusal amused him.
"Yes your highness, I am sure" said Wura as she nodded her head, there was nowhere for her to escape to, they were in the Carriage all alone.
"Alright then, if you say so" said Liam as he laughed and Wura sighed in relief, this was going to be a long ride back to the Castle.
…
"Thank you" said Wura as she smiled at the coachman as he set down everything they had bought in the kitchen.
"You are welcome my princess" said the coachman as he smiled and he bowed as he walked out of the kitchen.
"Well now we have everything sorted out till the maids return from the little break you sent them on" said Wura as she turned to look at Liam and she laughed at him.
"Well yes…" said Liam as he laughed.
"Your highness, would you like to eat something?" asked Wura as it was now noon.
"No, I am not hungry" said Liam as he smiled.
"Neither am I" said Wura as she smiled.
"Well then, I will leave you to it, I need to take care of some things" said Liam as he smiled.
"Oh well alright your highness" said Wura as she smiled.
"Take care, I will see you at dinner time" said Liam as he smiled, he just remembered that there were some documents he had to sign, and letters that he had to write, sure they were here to relax, but that did not mean that he could not do some work as well.
"Alright your highness, take care as well" said Wura as she smiled and Liam smiled at her once more before he left the kitchen, leaving Wura there all alone.
"Alright Wura, I hope you will not regret this" said Wura to herself as she smiled and she brought out the items she had bought, she had an idea of what to make for desert, she only hoped that she was not going beyond what she should have, but she wanted to do something nice.
"Alright, so lamb stew it is" said Wura as she smiled to herself.
…
A few hours later.
"I just came to check on you" said Liam as he smiled and he walked into the kitchen.
"Ahh, your highness" said Wura as she turned to look at Liam and she smiled at him, he had finished his duties, and it was almost dinner time, so thought to check up on her.
"You seem rather busy" said Liam as he smiled.
"Well maybe, maybe not" said Wura as she laughed and she tasted what she was cooking.
"Do you need any help?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"Ahh, your highness… " said Wura as she turned to look at him with surprise.
"Are you sure you want to help me?" asked Wura as she looked at him.
"Of course why not?" asked Liam as he smiled.
"Ummm…" said Wura as she still was not sure of this at all.
"Or do you doubt my ability in the kitchen?" asked Liam as he laughed and Wura looked at him.
"Mhmm… of course not… your highness" said Wura as she smiled sheepishly, you could not blame her, how could she not doubt him, he did not look like the kind of man who liked to cook, or be in the kitchen at all.
"Your expression says otherwise" said Liam as he laughed.
"*Sigh*" said Wura as she sighed.
"Alright fine, I need some carrots to be chopped for me" said Wura as she pointed to five finely peeled carrots that were on the table.
"Are you sure that you want to help??" asked Wura once again as she looked at him with concern.
"Yes I do, carrots cannot stop me" said Liam as he laughed and he took the knife on the table as he started to chop the carrots into little pieces.
"I can see that" said Wura as she laughed, maybe she truly was worried over nothing, he seemed very capable.
So Wura smiled as she turned back to face what she was doing, she felt happy that Liam was here, for some odd reason, and she did not know why, but it felt good to have him here.
