Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow that was all that could be seen when you looked out the Carriage window, they had drove past the Capital, and now there was nothing to be seen than vast snow-covered trees and roads.
Liam sighed, since it was going to be a long ride to Cornwalk, he had decided to catch up on some work, since his father had not let him do anything official since he had gotten married, so this was going to be his first official journey since he got married, and well Liam was grateful for that, but the thing was that he had Wura with him, and well she was not happy with him at all.
Liam glanced at Wura, he had thought that maybe she was just idly staring out the window in an attempt to ignore him, but to his surprise, she had fallen sound asleep as she rested her head on the window.
Liam wondered how he could not have noticed that she had fallen asleep, that only meant that he was so engrossed in what he was reading that he paid no more attention to her as she wished.
Liam smiled, she just looked so sound and peaceful when she slept, her delicate eyelids were closed and she breathed gently, Liam wondered if she could just always be like this, but he refuted himself, she was always herself, and that was what he liked about her most.
In the middle of Liam's many thoughts, the carriage suddenly began to move and shake, they must have been going through a rough patch in the road.
Liam looked at Wura, he did not want her to hit her head against the wall and hurt herself, he did not know what to do, he knew that she would be angry if he touched her, but at this point he did not have a choice at all.
The Carriage bounced up even higher this time, and Liam was forced to hold Wura's head that was about to fall with his right hand.
Liam did not even think twice he closed the document he was reading with his free hand and he gently placed Wura's head against the seat, and when he had done that, he swiftly moved to the other side of the seat where Wura was sitting and he placed her head to rest on his shoulder.
"How did you not wake up after all that?" asked Liam as he looked down at Wura who was still sleeping soundly on his shoulder after the Carriage had shook violently, and it was still shaking now, but the shaking had reduced.
Liam smiled as he removed strands of hair from Wura's face, she just looked so delicate, she looked even cuter now than when she was angry with him.
"*Sigh*, I know you will be upset with me for this" said Liam as he sighed.
"But you will thank me later when you do not experience any neck pain" said Liam as he smiled and he was surprised when Wura moved even closer to him.
"It seems you are not angry with me when you are sleeping" said Liam as he chuckled and he reached out for the document he was reading, he was not one to fall asleep, which made him wonder if Wura had rested well enough last night, he would understand if she did not, because last night was not her best day, there were many misunderstandings, of which he was part of them.
"Sleep tight" said Liam as he smiled and he continued reading.
…
Wura opened her eyes delicately, they were heavy and her vision was blurry, when her vision cleared, the first thought that came to her mind was 'Where am I', she was not at home, and neither was she in the Castle.
And then it hit her, she remembered that she and Liam were on their way to Cornwalk, she did not even know when she had fallen asleep, the slumber just hit her and she dozed off.
She opened her eyes wide as she looked across her and she could no longer see Liam, she wondered where he was, and then she finally realized that she was using somebody's shoulder as her resting place, and she looked up to meet the eyes of the man she truly wanted to remain upset with.
"You have finally woken up" said Liam as he smiled and his voice jolted Wura from her daze as she removed her head from his shoulder and she moved even further away from him.
"Why was I resting on your shoulder?" asked Wura as that was the first thought that came to her mind, as she could remember that she had fallen asleep resting on the window and not on his shoulder, and she had seen him sitting across her and not beside her.
"The Carriage passed through a bumpy road, and I did not want you to hurt yourself, so I placed your head on my shoulder" said Liam as he explained, he had expected this kind of reaction from her, she did not look pleased at all.
"I see…" said Wura as without warning she stood up and went to sit across Liam, which Liam found surprising, but he could not blame her, she was obviously still upset with him.
"Thank you for that" said Wura as she sighed, she was not an ingrate sure she was upset with him, but he had been nice to her.
"You are welcome" said Liam as he smiled at her, he liked the way she was upset with him, and yet she was still polite to him.
"How long until we reach Cornwalk?" asked Wura as she looked out the window, she was getting tiresome of being in the Carriage, If her memory served her right, they had left while the sun was still high in the sky, and now the sun's rays had now increased, which meant that it was noon.
"Well not too long I hope, we have been going on a steady pace" said Liam as he smiled.
"Hmm" said Wura as she hoped he was right, that meant that she had slept for at least two hours, and she found that shocking, she had slept well the night before, and she did not even feel sleepy at all, and yet she had fallen asleep.
She wondered how deep in slumber she was that she did not feel all the shaking and when he had moved, she cursed herself for sleeping so peaceful beside him, it must have made her look very weak.
"Are you nervous about going to Cornwalk?" asked Liam as he quietness in the Carriage was very uncomfortable for him.
"Well No, I have gone there many times with my family during the summer" replied Wura simply.
"Oh well then, surely you have seen the Castle in Cornwalk" said Liam as he smiled.
"It simply is beautiful and peaceful" said Liam as he smiled, he just loved the quiet, serene atmosphere the Castle in Cornwalk had, it was by far his favourite Castle, it was also the smallest Castle, but it just had a presence of peace and plainness which Liam adored.
"I see, I have not had the honour of seeing the Palace before" replied Wura as she did not look at Liam at all.
"I see" said Liam as he smiled.
"And about what happened last night with the…" said Liam as he was cut off suddenly by Wura.
"Your highness, if you would please grant me the pleasure of silence, I would truly appreciate that" said Wura curtly as she turned to look at Liam, she was tired of hearing him speak, she was in no mood to speak all she wanted to do was be alone and sit in peace until they reached Cornwalk.
"As you wish" said Liam as he smiled and he went back to reading his document and Wura went back to looking out the window, she did not care if she sounded rude, he was very rude to her countless times, and well she was just paying him back in his own coin.
But he did not make it easy for her at all when he smiled at her like that, as if he was truly innocent, Wura just hated it when he did that, because it made her seem unfair for being upset with him, when she clearly had a valid reason for that.
Just as Wura had asked for, neither Liam or Wura spoke a single word to each other for the remainder of their journey, until finally, as Wura was growing weary, the Carriage suddenly came to a halt, and the coachman walked to Liam's window.
"Your highnesses, we have arrived" said the coachman.
"Thank you" said Liam as he smiled and the coachman walked away.
"We have arrived" said Liam as he turned to look at Wura with a smile.
"Oh finally" said Wura as she smiled in relief.
