Chereads / Betrothed To The Prince / Chapter 129 - Be alone

Chapter 129 - Be alone

"My princess…" called Nora as she looked at Wura, who seemed to be lost in thought.

Wura was thinking, she was thinking on many things, one being that Liam knew that the pendant his father gave to her was his mother's and yet he said nothing on it, why? He did not tell her anything, in fact he had never mentioned his mother at all.

Wura could understand that he did not like to speak about his mother, it was a very personal matter, but he could have at least mentioned her once, or told her that the pendant was his mothers, it was at this point that Wura realized that she knew nothing at all about Liam.

Did he not trust her enough to tell her about his mother? Of did he just deem it not important for him to speak about? Regardless Wura felt hurt that he did not trust her, even though that was the truth.

"My princess…" called Nora once again as she had been standing there, and just looking at Wura as she seemed to be in another world entirely.

"Ah…" said Wura as she snapped out of her thoughts as she heard Nora call out to her.

"My princess are you alright?" asked Nora as she looked at Wura in worry, she had been more absent minded lately, and that was not like her at all.

"Yes Nora, I am alright" said Wura as she smiled at Nora, she could see the worry in her eyes.

"Alright my princess" said Nora as she nodded her head.

"My Princess, I was asking if you had enjoyed the tour of the Castle?" asked Nora as she looked at Wura.

"Ahhh, yes I did Nora, I very much did" said Wura as she smiled, in fact her feet were tired from all the walking they had done.

"I am glad that you enjoyed it my princess" said Nora as she smiled and Wura smiled back at her.

"My princess, are you hungry?" asked Nora.

"Ahh, well no Nora, I am not hungry" said Wura as she smiled, she had ate a lot at breakfast, so she did not feel hungry at all.

"Alright my princess" said Nora as she nodded her head.

"I just do not feel hungry now, I will eat at dinner time" said Wura as she smiled.

"Alright my princess" said Nora as she nodded her head.

"Well Nora, you have nothing to do here, so you may go" said Wura as she looked around, her room was clean, and Nora had nothing else to do, they could talk with each other, but Nora would only give her straight forward answers.

"Are you sure my princess?" asked Nora.

"Yes I am Nora, you can go rest" said Wura as she smiled, Nora had worked really hard everyday looking after her, and she truly appreciated that.

"My Princess, are you sure? I can keep you company" said Nora, and Wura smiled, Nora was very sweet.

"I do appreciate that Nora, but I would like to be alone for now" said Wura as she smiled.

"Alright my princess" said Nora as she nodded her head and Wura smiled, she needed to think and sort out all her many thoughts, she needed to get back into her right space of mind.

"Thank you Nora" said Wura as she smiled.

"I will call for you when I need you" said Wura as she smiled.

"Alright my princess" said Nora as she bowed and she did not insist any longer as she walked away and she closed the door of Wura's room behind her.

"*Sigh*" said Wura as soon as Nora left, just what did she get herself into by marrying a man she did not even love?? Their relationship was not like other couples, and Wura was truly starting to see that right now.

Later that day.

"Good evening your Majesty" said Wura as she smiled brightly as she walked into the dining room and she saw Alaric and Liam already there sitting and waiting for her.

"Ahh Good evening my dear" said Alaric as he smiled brightly at Wura as she sat down beside Liam.

"Good evening" said Wura as she looked at Liam.

"Good evening Wura" said Liam as he smiled at her.

"Ahh my dear, please forgive me, I had missed breakfast this morning" said Alaric.

"This husband of yours had placed me on unnecessary bed rest" said Alaric as he shook his head at Liam and all Liam did was to smile and shake his own head, his father really was something else, especially when it came time for him to rest.

"You say It is unnecessary father, when in truth, it is very necessary" replied Liam as he smiled at his father and Alaric scoffed at him, he was still upset with him for placing him on bed rest.

"Well that is just alright your Majesty" said Wura as she smiled, she only wanted Alaric to be in good health, and if that meant him staying in bed, she would not mind that at all.

"Your Majesty, I do hope that you are feeling better now?" asked Wura as she smiled.

"Ahh my dear, yes, I fell much better now" said Alaric as he smiled.

"Thank you for asking my dear" said Alaric as he smiled and Wura smiled as well.

"And how was your day my dear?" asked Alaric as he smiled.

"Ahh well…" said Wura as Liam turned to look at her.

"Well I went on a tour of the Castle, and I found it very interesting" said Wura as she smiled.

"I always knew that the Castle was very big, but today I truly had the chance to see for myself" said Wura as she smiled.

"Ahh I am glad that you think so my dear" said Alaric as he smiled, he only wanted Wura to be comfortable and happy.

"This Castle has existed since Wyverdale has" said Alaric as he smiled.

"And yet it is still as strong as the day it was built" said Wura as she smiled and Alaric smiled.

"Umm your Majesty, during the tour, what caught my eye most were the paintings" said Wura as Liam looked at her.

"I truly adore paintings, and the Castle is full of them, with different styles and types" said Wura as she smiled.

"Ahh my dear, those paintings were painted in each remarkable year in Wyverdale" said Alaric as he smiled.

"And they were also received as gifts or loot from other Kingdoms" said Alaric as he smiled.

"Ahhh I see" said Wura as she smiled.

"And are there any portraits in the Castle?" asked Wura as she smiled, it was no lie that she loved paintings, she loved to paint as well, and she was very good at it too.

"Ahh yes my dear, the are many portraits" said Alaric as he smiled.

"In fact, there are many portraits of my boy in the Castle, they are in my quarters" said Alaric as he smiled.

"They were painted through the years" said Alaric as he smiled and remembered fond memories.

"You may come and see them if you wish to do so" said Alaric as he smiled.

"Oh and I do wish to your Majesty" said Wura as she laughed, she wanted to see how Liam looked in those paintings, maybe he was as serious as he was now.

"I would like to see his face in the paintings" said Wura as she laughed and Alaric laughed.

"Why go to the paintings to see my face, when you have it right here" said Liam as he smiled at her and she scoffed at him, he really was being annoying, eve though it was true that he had a handsome face, but she would never tell him that.

"Well I do not want to see your very annoying face now, I want to see how you looked like when you were younger" said Wura as she smiled at him in annoyance.

"Well I am young am I not?" asked Liam as he smiled.

"My boy, if your wife wishes to see the paintings then she might as well do so" said Alaric as he smiled at Liam and then he laughed.

"Thank you your Majesty" said Wura as she smiled.

"You are welcome my dear" said Alaric as he smiled.

"Well now, let us eat, we have been speaking a lot" said Alaric as he smiled, he did not hate that they spoke a lot, in fact it warmed his heart, Wura was like a little light that brough warmth to them all, she caused them to speak more, to laugh more and to smile more.

"Alright your Majesty" said Wura as she smiled and she looked down to face her food as she ate, she liked it when they talked like this, when they were just happy without a care in the world, it warmed her heart.
