Chereads / Betrothed To The Prince / Chapter 95 - Nice

Chapter 95 - Nice

"So Nora, what do you actually do in the Castle?" asked Wura as she looked at Nora who was busy cleaning her room once again.

"Well my princess," said Nora as she finished folding some sheets and she turned back to look at Wura.

"Before I was assigned as your personal maid, I usually just did my usual duties as a Castle maid" said Nora as she looked at Wura.

"Which were??" asked Wura as she was bored, she had nothing to do than to talk to Nora, and Nora was never fully comfortable with her, the only questions she would reply to with no hesitation at all, were questions about her work, and hence why Wura was asking such questions.

"Well my princess, I cleaned, sometimes I helped with the cooking, but most of all I cleaned" replied Nora as she grabbed a broom that was by the corner of the room and she began to sweep.

"I can just imagine that" said Wura.

"The Castle is very big, I can just imagine how much cleaning you had to do" said Wura as she smiled, she could relate, just this morning after breakfast, she had tried her luck on trying to make her way to her room by herself, and she almost got lost, if not for Nora who happened to be passing by on her way to the dining room to look for Wura to escort her back to her room.

"Yes my princess, I had to clean a lot" said Nora.

"The Castle has over 300 rooms, and they require cleaning often" said Nora.

"But now I only have to clean your room, and assist you my princess, so I am glad about that" said Nora as she kept her eyes on the ground as she swept.

Wura smiled, she had noticed that Nora was talking to her and replying to her more than usual.

"I am glad that you are glad" said Wura as she smiled.

"So did you like to clean the Castle Nora??" asked Wura.

"Well not exactly my princess, I despised when it was my turn to clean" said Nora.

"The Castle is just too big for one not to get weary of cleaning" said Nora.

"Oh I can relate with that Nora, the Castle is truly big" said Wura.

"I cannot mention the amount of times that I have gotten lost in the Castle halls" said Wura as she laughed.

"I even almost got lost today if not for the fact that you happened to be passing by" said Wura as she laughed.

"I can relate with you my princess" said Nora as for once she laughed.

"When I first arrived at the Castle, I would always get lost" said Nora.

"I only got used to the Castle after a few months" said Nora.

"What a surprise" said Wura in surprise, if it took Nora some months to get used to the Castle, then she had no hope for herself, she had only been here a few days after all, and she never went anywhere else except for her room.

The only other rooms she had been to in the Castle except for her room, and the dining room, was the ballroom and Liam's office, which she had only visited once, come to think of it, Liam and Alaric must have felt very lonely, they were in this big Castle all alone, if not for the many servants and guards in the Castle, the Castle would be barren.

"I once got lost in the Castle once, and I ended up in the knights training room" said Nora as she laughed and she shook her head in embarrassment.

"Oh my that sounds very…" said Wura as she was trying her best to stifle a laugh.

"That sounds very… funny actually" said Wura as she started laughing.

"My princess, it was not funny at that time, I was very embarrassed" said Nora as she stopped sweeping and she turned to look up at Wura who was laughing.

"Oh I know it is not funny Nora, but I just cannot help it" said Wura as she laughed.

"Were there knights in the training room??" asked Wura as she stopped laughing.

"Well there were only a few of them, and they were fully clothed… luckily" said Nora as she shook her head.

"And they were very polite actually, they did not seem upset at all, they even assisted me and directed me to the Kitchen" said Nora as she smiled.

"That sounds very nice" said Wura as she smiled, knights were nice people, she knew that, it was their duty to help those in need and to be chivalrous, which was why she greatly respected Mero, Zuph, Zechariah and Luc, they were knights and for them to be very close to Liam, they must have also been very good knights.

All of them except for Elihu, he was another case entirely, not only was he rude and petty, but he had no respect for anyone, she did not like him at all, she was sure that he was the worst knight she had ever met, and she had only met him twice, and that was saying something.

"Yes my princess, it was" said Nora as she smiled and she went back to sweeping.

"So do you like being in the Castle??" asked Wura as she smiled.

"Well my princess, I can neither say that I like it or that I hate it" said Nora as she closed the window in Wura's room.

"I am grateful that I can work here" said Nora as she smiled.

"That is nice" said Wura as she smiled, well now she was out of ideas of what else to ask Nora so that she would speak to her.

Nora could actually go the whole day without saying a single word to her, except she was the one who asked for something.

"Nora, what do you think about the prince?" asked Wura as she finally had another idea of what to ask Nora.

"Ah…" said Nora as she was caught off guard and she stopped sweeping, she did not expect a question like that from Wura at all, what did she think of the Prince?? Was this some kind of test? Because she did not know what to say at all.

"I just want to know what your thoughts on the Prince are" said Wura as she looked at Nora.

"Well my princess…" said Nora as she did not know what to say, she did not want to be accused of slandering the prince at all.

"It is alright, you can go on" said Wura as she smiled sweetly at Nora.

"*Sigh*" said Nora as she sighed, she did not know what she should have said, but she was sure that it had to be the truth.

"Well my princess, even though I have not had much contact with the prince before" said Nora as he began.

"I believe that he is a wise and kind man, all the other maids in the Castle say that he is very nice" said Nora.

"And I also believe that he is nice too" said Nora as she said nothing more or nothing less.

"Oh, I see…" said Wura, she did not know what else she was expecting Nora to say.

But Nevertheless, it seemed that everyone here had a good opinion of the prince, she was stupid to think that they would ever say something against him.

Wura wanted to get to know Liam more, well because she was about to become him wife, and it was only natural that she know a bit about her so called husband, she knew nothing about him at all, but she was sure that he was a cheeky, annoying man who liked to get on her nerves.

And he was also a very serious man when it came time for seriousness, he was a good son, because she could see the way that Alaric cherished him, and he also seemed to have many supporters, he was also a man of war, because he had victoriously led Wyverdale against the east.

"My princess, many maidens would wish to be in your place, they all admire the prince" said Nora.

"Oh Nora, I am well aware of that, you do not have to remind me" said Wura as she smiled and she sighed, she knew many ladies admired him, and one of them was Rosie, who by the way considered her an enemy now for absolutely no reason at all.

"Nora, if you were in my shoes, would you marry the prince?" asked Wura out of the blue and this time Nora almost jumped back in shock.

"Umm, my princess… I do not think that I am in the right place to reply to that question" said Nora as she was nervous.

"It is just a simple question Nora, there is no need to be scared at all" said Wura as she laughed at how timid Nora was being.

"Well my princess" said Nora as she sighed.

"Just tell me what you think" said Wura as she smiled brightly at Nora.

"Well…" said Nora as she hesitated to speak.
