"I must Thank you Duchess Scot" said Liam.
"Dinner was very delicious, thank you for inviting me to have dinner in your home" said Liam as he smiled and he looked at Ireti.
"Oh is a pleasure your highness" said Ireti as she smiled, she liked cooking for people, it made her happy, it was one of the things she was very good at.
"And Duke Scot, I am now certain that you have very good taste" said Liam as he turned to look at Lawrence.
"That Carrot cake was simply divine" said Liam as he to now had started to crave for more of that carrot cake, never in his years of living had he ever thought that he would ever want to eat a specific desert more than twice.
It was no wonder why it was Lawrence's and Wura's favourite cake, it was just simply too delicious.
"Haha I am glad that you think so your highness" said Lawrence as he laughed and everyone else laughed, even Wura laughed.
"No one makes carrot cake as good as my Ireti" said Lawrence as he smiled and he turned to look at Ireti and she smiled back at him.
"And Lady Tessa, thank you for making me feel right at home" said Liam, Tessa was just to lively she made sure that everyone was involved in the conversation, and with her there was never a dull moment.
Liam was truly envious of how much Wura enjoyed her family, sure they were the Duke and Duchess, but they just lived life simply, just as simple as anyone else, and that was what made them different.
"I truly enjoyed being with you all" said Liam as he smiled.
"Oh your highness and so did I" said Tessa as she laughed, it was nice having someone else at the dinner table along with them, and well the prince was not haughty at all, in fact if you asked her, she would tell you that the Prince was a very humble man.
He was not stiff-necked, he was not picky at all, and most of all he went along with everything happening, and that made things move even more smoother.
"We look forward to doing this again your highness" said Lawrence as he smiled, after tonight's dinner, he was now sure more than ever that his precious Wura was in safe hands, no harm would come to her as long as she was with the prince and that made his heart rest at ease.
"And so do I" said Liam as he smiled as Beatrice nodded her head and bowed she was walked into the dining room as she packed all the dishes from the table.
"But alas, all good things must come to an end" said Liam as he smiled.
"Oh no" said Wura to herself, she knew what Liam was going to say next, and it was what he was going to say that scared her to death, this was what she wanted to try at all costs to avoid, or buy time, but it was obvious that this was unavoidable, she had no means of escape now.
"We shall be needed to get going to the Castle now" said Liam.
"The night is no longer young, and we must return soon" said Liam as everyone went very quiet, they all knew that by 'We' he meant he and Wura, which meant that it was time for what they all feared the most, and that was Wura leaving them.
It seemed that in the moment of the dinner, they forgot the sadness that would befall them once the dinner was over, and their precious Wura was going to have to leave.
"*Ahem*" said Lawrence as he cleared his throat and he broke the silence.
"His highness is right" he said.
"It is getting very late, and for the safety of you both, it is best that you begin going to the Castle now" said Lawrence.
"Or we can stay the night here??" asked Wura to herself, but she would not dare say it out loud, now that she thought about it, what was the point of delaying her fate?? She would end up having to go there eventually, so what was the big deal if she went there a few days earlier??
"Yes…" said Ireti as she spoke up.
"Lawrence is right" said Ireti.
"Wura, my dear, are you ready to leave?" asked Ireti as she turned to look at Wura.
The honest answer was no… no she did not want to leave at all, this was her home, and it would forever be her home, she had grown up here, and she had never known anywhere else as her home.
"Yes…" said Wura as everyone turned to look at her.
"Yes mother I am" she said as she sighed internally, her heart was pounding due to uncertainty, and it was now that she realized that she had to start saying her goodbyes.
"Well alright then" said Lawrence as he sighed, it was never easy for a parent to let go of his or her child.
"Brother do not worry, I have already taken care of packing all of Wura's belongings" said Tessa as she was surprised that she did not utter that sentence with tears, even though she felt very sad at this moment in time.
Liam could sense that the atmosphere had changed so he remained quiet, this was a family matter after all, and he was not part of the family just yet…
And he did not blame them at all, his father would rarely ever let him go anywhere without him pleading with him, and Wura was their only child, so he could understand why it was had for them to let her go, and he did not mind It at all.
"I have already asked Collins to load all her belongings into the Carriage, and he had informed me that he has done so already" said Richard as he spoke up.
"Well then, since everything is settled" said Lawrence.
"Let us please accompany you to the carriage, your highness" said Lawrence.
"Of course, there is no need for you to request to do such" said Liam as he smiled.
"Thank you your highness" said Lawrence as he smiled, he stood up and walked to the coat rack and got his coat and he got Ireti's coat too and he gave it to her.
Everyone was in a sombre mood, especially Wura, she just stood up to get her coat and she said nothing at all, but the gloom was evident on her face, she was not happy at all.
Liam stood up as he walked to the front door, he had not removed his coat, Wura wore her coat and she followed behind him, while Richard wore Tessa's coat for her.
"Thank you Richie" she said to him as she smiled sadly and he smiled back at her, he also felt very sad that Wura was leaving them, he truly did care for his beloved niece, and he had thought that she had more time, but alas she did not.
Liam walked out the front door and Wura followed right behind him, the Carriage was there, right in front of the house, waiting for he and Wura to leave.
"I believe that this is where we say Goodbye" said Lawrence as he looked at Wura.
Wura could not hold herself at all, she rushed back and she gave her father a big hug as Lawrence sighed and he hugged her back, Wura promised herself that she would not cry, because if she did, she was not sure if she would stop crying.
"Oh father" said Wura as she hugged him.
"I will miss you" she said.
"And so will I my precious gold" said Lawrence as he smiled and Wura broke their hug.
"Mother" said Wura as she hugged her mother.
"My dear be strong" said Ireti as she hugged Wura, and Wura nodded as she broke their hug.
"Goodbye my dear" said Tessa as she smiled sadly.
"Oh Aunt" said Wura as she hugged Tessa.
"Please do not say Goodbye, but rather say that I shall see you later" said Wura as she smiled.
"I shall see you later my dear" said Tessa as she smiled.
"And I shall see you too my little cousin" said Wura as she smiled and Tessa laughed.
"Uncle" said Wura as she nodded her head.
"Wura" said Richard as he nodded his head and to her surprised he hugged her.
"Remember my teachings" said Richard.
"Oh I will Uncle yes I will, especially your teachings on fools" said Wura as she laughed.
"Goodbye my dear niece" he said.
"Goodbye Uncle" said Wura as she turned to face Liam before she started to cry.
Liam helped her up into the carriage, and the look on her face said it all.
"We all wish you a safe journey to the castle your highness" said Lawrence as he smiled.
"Thank you all" said Liam as he smiled.
"And of course you are all more than welcome to come to the Castle at any time, it is also your home" said Liam.
"Thank you your highness" said Lawrence as he smiled and everyone else smiled as Liam entered into the carriage and the carriage began to move slowly.
Wura turned to the open window of the carriage and she began to wave goodbye to her wonderful family, and they all waved goodbye to her.
