Chapter 56 - Have some time for me?

Ch-56

Luciana entered the bookstore cum cafe. Luciana was an avid reader too. She has to say, she was not someone who reads paperbacks, but she used to read online books. Later on, after she came to this Country, she started reading paperbacks. She found them fun. If she was not working she can read one or two books in her spare time. Luciana felt this was her kind of job.

Luciana wished to do something in the literature field. She knew she was not a great writer or her skills were not good enough to be a writer. But a good reader. She knew which book can do well, and which cannot. When she has enough money, she wished to start a publishing house. To start a publication house, she needs connections and stuff. Money can be taken as a loan or can be borrowed. She was scared of debt, but the past three months were something she had many realizations about. And taking a debt when you are confident of paying it back, was not so bad.

She entered the bus and started drafting out her future plans. Taking therapy was something that gave her reason to move on in life. She suddenly felt Oscar was not significant. The fear she felt when he tried to molest him was something she would never forget. But, now she no longer hates him. It doesn't mean she likes him. It's just that she feels nothing towards him. She no longer gets affected by his presence.

As she entered the cafe, she saw Oscar following her and entering the cafe like usual he does.

Even though his way of apologizing, and protecting her was no less than stalking, she decided to put an end to this today. She wished to not be reminded of the scars of the past.

She continued to work. When she found some free time, she asked her colleague to fill up her place for some time.

For the past one and half months, she saw what drink he prefers, so, she took his preferred drink and walked to him.

It has been a daily thing to Oscar. In the start, his lingering around her annoyed her so much. She lashed out at him so many times. She begged him to stop following her because she wants to take therapy in peace. He did as she said. He followed her without her knowledge but when her therapy was done, she found out he was still following her. She glared at him but said nothing. Gradually she started accepting his lingering. But now she started working, gossips were rising.

It's not only for the sake of gossip but for her mental peace. The longer Oscar lingers around her, the longer it would be like the scar left by him was being scratched. She wants to move on. She will do it.

It's time for her to get on with her life wholeheartedly instead of being stuck with Oscar's incident.

"Have time for me?" Luciana asked with a slight smile.

Oscar was surprised at her approach. He thought she would literally take more time to forgive him or talk to him. Every day it was not easy for him to face her or follow behind her. He literally saw th pain of a woman, who almost got molested. If he was not lost consciousness that day, he would have been regretting it for the rest of his life.

He could only imagine what kind of pain a woman would go through when she was molested.

Every day, he woke up praying to god to lessen the pain that Luciana went through. He didn't pray to the god that he wants to be forgiven. Despite his dick head actions. Luciana was loving with his son when he visited her from time to time. He could see she was genuinely happy with Charlie's presence.

He was the first one to feel happy when she landed the job and started working out with her life. He felt even happier when he heard she was joining the university again. When she was in her dark phase after the rape incident, she decided to give up her studies which got him scared. He regretted every second of losing his control. He badly wished for her to get on with her life.

Oscar heard her every insecurity, every thought threw his means. Every day he lived in guilt. Just because he was feeling guilty, it doesn't mean he rectified his mistake.

"Yes,"
