Ch-59
"I know you won't or can't accept me. But there is one thing I want to do for you," Oscar said.
Luciana was surprised at his words.
"When I started the organization, I named it after you. I know I have no right to do that. But after seeing you suffer, and struggle because of my actions, I felt that you are not the only woman who is suffering from this thing but there are others. No matter how hard I try, I can't rectify the mistakes I did. But… I am trying. The glowing souls' organization is taken from your name meaning.
"After starting that organization, I gathered many resources for women to restart their lives. There were many companies who came ahead to help out the woman from our organization.
"This is the company that supports women with funds by lending them. They even help you out with planning if you have promising ideas. Reach them out. They might help you with your publishing house.
"And… don't worry. This thing doesn't belong to Bernadetta. It will purely belong on your luck. In the next three months, they are planning to select 15 women and help them by funding them. Hopefully, you will be selected," he said.
"Thank you," she said as she took the card.
He nodded.
"I will not bother you anymore," he said. She nodded and left to do her work.
Oscar nodded. He decided to stay back for some time and finish his coffee.
Just then the cafe bill rang indicating that someone entered the cafe.
"Welcome to 'Books and Cafe'. What would you like to have?" Luciana said as she bowed her head slightly without even looking at the person.
"I will be meeting a friend of mine after a long time. What do you think will suit me better for this mood?" he asked. His voice was extremely familiar to her. Luciana doesn't know why but a certain person from her past made a quick tour through her memories.
She shook her head and decided to help him.
"I suggest coffee mixed with Matcha. Or if you would like it with vanilla or whipped cream, I would suggest Matcha latte," she said.
"What would you suggest?" he asked. This voice was something familiar to her.
"Matcha latte personally but coffee with matcha is not that sweet. If you like less sweet, then coffee with Match it is," Luciana said to him, as she continued to browse through the coffee recommendations.
"Book?" he asked.
"How is your friend like?" she asked as she changed the tab for books
"I love to have some time with her," he said.
"Good Company by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney," Luciana suggested.
"Thanks, Anna," he said.
The way he called her made her whip her head towards him. Her eyes widened when she took notice of the man who stood in front of her. She gulped unknowingly.
She could see his unique eyes that stood out among everyone. His black pupils were surrounded were adorned by flecks of gold as they decorated his ever-green colored eyes. As usual, he stood out in the crowd. His dark green eyes danced with amusement as he looked at her with an inquisitive look.
His sharp features laced with maturity, his almond-shaped eyes, tall greek nose, high bridge cheeks, his unique green-colored eyes, and his voice sent shivers in her spine.
He donned a three-peace blue suit. It fitted him so perfectly revealing his perfectly toned body. His suit gave a wide look at his muscled chest through his first three unbuttoned buttons. His hair was a little sluggish making him look a little roguish yet devilishly handsome.
"Magnar," she whispered his name slowly.
Suddenly she felt her head start spinning. The horrid scenes flashed in front of her eyes.
She shook her head and looked at him with a smile.
"I am glad you still remembered me, Anna. thought you would have forgotten about your poor fiance," he said with a sexy smirk on his lips making him drool-worthy. But Luciana felt nothing that sort of spark towards him.
"You will get your order to your table, sir," she said stiffly not being able to contain her smile.
"Looks like I still have an effect on you. Shall we get married then?" he asked raising his thick brows as his emerald green eyes peered into her chestnut hazel eyes.
"Sir, you might have got the wrong person," she tried to evade him. Her heart was thudding against her ribcage as fear rose in her body.
"We will discuss that after you get my order. I will not take it from clothes," he said and was about to leave.
"Brother," Oscar's voice could be heard. Luciana whipped her head to him and to Magner.
Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at the two men who almost ruined her life in two different ways, at two different times, in two different countries.
She left her home country not because her father threw her out, but because Magner was one of the reasons too.
She thought he wouldn't find her here. Now, he came all the from the country Olfonzo to here.
And to the fact, Oscar and Magner were brothers. That makes sense now about Magner's involvement in the dark side.
Now, both brothers were here. She can't move to a different country as she already paid university fees, which were non-refundable. Even if she forgets about her money and goes to a different country, the academic year might have started or admissions would be closed by now.
She thought once she comes here leaving her past, she could live a good life.
But life proved wrong with Oscar's presence.
Now… two men who were once monsters to her wanted or unwantedly came into her life.
What will happen to her life now?
