Ch-54
"I will see the door," Joe said.
He froze when he saw the people standing in front of the door.
It's none other than Ella, Carl, Callum, and… Oscar.
Joe was not expecting these people at his doorstep.
He was about to shut the door on their face, but Luciana already walked towards the door and stood there.
"You are not welcome here," Joe said and was about to shut the door.
"Only a few minutes," Ella asked.
"Let them," Luciana's small voice sounded.
Joe looked at her for a good few seconds before nodding at her. He turned his head and let them enter inside.
Evelynn came out of the kitchen with three spatulas in her hand. She gave one to Joe, the other to Luciana and she kept the last one with herself.
Joe: "..."
Luciana: "..."
It's as if those spatulas were their weapons.
Ella: "..."
Oscar: "..."
Callum: "..."
Carl: "..."
Also Carl: 'How cuteeeeeee'
Ella coughed slightly at her actions. She said nothing and continue with the work she came to do it.
"I apologize for all the mishaps that happened to you due to our company and our family. I know nothing can make you feel better or forget those things. Even I am in a helpless position. All I can do is offer you, my apologies.
"You can ask for anything you wish from us. Or you can do anything to punish us," Ella said.
"I wish to not see him for the rest of my life," Luciana said.
"If that is what you wish for, then you can do it. But that comes under his punishment, not mine," Ella said.
"He will do everything you ask for that is his part. I am disowning him as my son till he gets your forgiveness. As for the company, I have two other sons and a daughter. And the worst comes to worst, I have a grandson. He is not needed." Ella said in a determined tone as she stared at Luciana.
"Since he committed his heinous acts, I will admit that I failed as a mother," Ella said and stood up from her seat. She gave a ninety-degree bow to Luciana and her friends.
"Don't worry, I will not let these incidents hinder your work with Bernadetta. Business is business, personal life is a personal life," Ella said trying to assure them.
Luciana and everyone were shocked at her actions. Even Oscar, Callum, and Carl were stunned at her words and actions.
"You don't need to," Luciana managed to say these words.
"I need to. I am a woman too. I know how disgusting you feel when you get touched by a man whom you don't fancy or when you don't give your consent," Ella said.
"As our deal said, this is one million grands for your piano performance," she said as she gave a packet full of cash to Luciana.
"You don't need to compensate me more than needed," Luciana said.
"This is what I promised to pay you. The principal is supposed to hand the money to you. But, I heard he has a habit of cutting down the payment to the piano players. So, I am doing it myself," Ella said.
"Carl," she called.
Carl placed the supplements bag on the table.
"These are supplements that nourish your body. Please accept them from my side. Feel free to do anything to him. I would like to see how he gets punished," Ella said.
Luciana looked at Oscar.
"I want him to get beaten up. I want him to feel helpless. I wanted him to feel the same things that I felt when he tried to molest me," Luciana said with absolute hate and anger in her eyes.
"But If I do, it would be like I am relieving him from guilt. I don't want to let him be relieved of guilt," Luciana said.
"So, what do you want to do?" Ella asked.
"I am here to live a simple life. I will take this as a lesson. I will learn self-defense. I will grow strong. I will take my university and attend the studies I loved. I just want to move on with life. I don't want to think about him or the things he did for me," Luciana said.
"It doesn't mean he will go unscathed without any punishment," Ella said with a finality in her voice.
"Why do you care, Mrs. Bernadetta? You disowned him," Luciana said.
Ella raised a brow at her before saying, "Even though I disowned him, I can't let a situation pass from my eyes when a woman got mistreated and is traumatized."
"I wished to do things that would make him unable to call himself a man, but I raised him for years, and in the end… biologically he is my son. That's why I couldn't do anything to him, and I can't be harsh to him till the end. The mother inside me cannot do that. But you can do anything to him. You can throw him in jail, you can slap him, kill him and do anything," Ella said.
As if to prove her point, she took out a loaded gun and placed it on the table. Luciana was shocked too. She never thought Ella would go to this extent to get her justice. She looked at Joe and Evelynn for help.
"Do what you wish to. Nobody will question you," Joe said as if he was saying he will support everything she does.
"Do you not care about your grandson?" Luciana couldn't help but ask.
Ella laughed at her naive words. "Are you worried about my son or grandson?" she asked.
"I don't want Charlie to be an orphan," she said.
"My grandson has a family—and me," Ella said coldly. Luciana looked at the aged yet resolute woman before her. How much courage does it take for a mother to give permission to someone to end her own son's life? She doesn't know.
"I will take care of it. I need rest. Can you all leave?" Luciana asked.
Ella sighed and nodded her head before she left.
"I will not leave till you forgive me," Oscar said.
"I don't want to see your face," Luciana said directly gathering courage.
Oscar said nothing he walked out of their house, he kneeled in front of Luciana's apartment.
Joe and Evelynn tried to make him leave the place, but he didn't budge.
Callum was shocked at his brother's actions. But he didn't try to convince him because he knew it was his choice.
And… it's overboard for him to go to the extent of trying to molest Luciana. He felt even he was at fault. If he kept an eye on him and observed things carefully, maybe this wouldn't have happened.
Luciana decided to ignore the Bernadetta family after she realized they won't budge.
