"Do you want me to help you?"
Aria asked as soon as they two stepped into restroom. Checking from head to toes of her friend who could not even stand straight without anything to hold onto. "No! I am an independent woman who can do everything on my own-" As Veda stated, Aria interrupted.
"All right all right. We got no time to talk about your independence. Shut your mouth and go to pee already" She shrugged. Annoying the young woman. "You heartless bitch" Veda cursed. Heading into the toilet while stomping the floor in fury. It made Aria chuckle somehow.
Then she waited outside of the restroom because of some loud women gossiping about spending night with men. She could not handle that kind of conversation for real no matter what. She could not even fake a smile and listen to the talk to blend in with people.
The chat of women boasting about how they were going to get railed by a random dude from the club was truly disgusting for Aria. "Ugh, fuck.." Veda squeezed her eyes when she went out of toilet after finishing. Migraine caused by alcohol was getting on her nerves.
Now,
the sight of women taking places at the basin annoyed her since they all did not even mind to move for her to wash her hands as if they could not acknowledge her presence. "Mind to step aside, ladies?" Veda requested politely through gritted teeth to endure the headache.
"No. Go to the men bathroom and wash your filthy hands if you want to because we are not letting you take this place. We are busy checking ourselves out" Along with a mocking laughter, the three women taunted. Upsetting Veda entirely. "Step aside right now"
She commanded. Making the women laughed out loud in entertainment. "What did you just say, honey? I didn't seem to catch it" One of the women provoked. The line had been crossed. The exasperation had increased inside the young woman's mind. "Fuck off"
A serious cold gaze replaced the frown caused by migraine. The tone turned into dominant one. Veda was pissed off obviously. "Awwn, look who got courage to speak in this way-" "AHHHH" As one of the women was about to provoke, a shout echoed from the outside.
Startling the four.
The rapid footsteps which seemed like people were running around panicked the four. Especially, Veda. Her friend was out from here. She concerned about her friend more now. What exactly was occurring there?! Without hesitating, Veda rushed out of the restroom,
only to discover the crowd running outside of the nightclub in hurry along with yell. Something terrible was happening for sure. But what was it?! Veda frowned in confusion. The headache caused by alcohol started to make her dizzy once again. She could not even focus.
Now, Aria Scarlet was nowhere to be found. She should be right here at the spot but Veda could not even find a shadow of her friend. Who the heck kidnapped Aria? Or did she run out of the club like this crowd? But for what?! Why were they dashing out from here in panic.
"Help me!" Suddenly, a strong grip seized Veda's wrist. Startling her wholly so that her eyes widened. The request came from the woman covered in blood. Appearing to be confusing and terrifying as fuck for Veda. Why did this woman look as if she just crawled out of the hell?!
"The fuck.. What happened?" Veda questioned in puzzlement. Pondering about the situation she was in. However, instead of a response, the woman asked for something else. "They are trying to capture me. Please help me get out of here. I will pay you. So please"
The woman begged in tears.
Perplexing Veda more and more. "What do you mean they? I don't understand any of your words-" "STOP RIGHT THERE!" A man's yell broke in suddenly along with gunshot. Interrupting Veda from expressing her confusion. The two looked up in hurry with panic.
It was the moment both Veda and the woman flinched so hard. They two furrowed their brows at the scene of the man who was holding the gun. It was not just a man but men with multiple guns in their hands, aiming at the crowd as if they were searching for someone.
"Oh shit! What the fuck did you do?!" Veda mumbled in disbelief. She promptly rushed off to the nearest table and hid behind one. But the woman went after Veda out of fright without hesitating. Stunning the young woman entirely. "Why the fuck are you following me?!"
She asked in disbelief. "Please" The woman begged. Grabbing the wrist of Veda as she pleaded in a sore throat; "They are going to lock me up. I don't want to live in hell. Please save me from them. Just please get me out of here" Her words puzzled Veda totally so that she frowned.
"I don't even know if you did something wrong to deserve this. Why should I help you?" Veda queried. Hushing down the woman. "Please. I am not a criminal. The story is complicated to explain. But for now, please get me out of here" The woman continued begging.
However, Veda shook her head.
"I am sorry" she apologized. Ready to run off from the place. Rescuing someone without knowing identity and the purpose was a big no. So she had to ignore. "Wait no! Take me with you!" As Veda attempted to shove the woman's grasp from her wrist, the woman pleaded in tears.
Making Veda turned around and stared into the eyes of the woman. Inside deep down, she did not want to leave this woman behind. The tears had softened Veda's heart. They two stared into each other's eyes for a second without saying any words. "Ugh! Just run after me then!"
At last, Veda ordered with a tightened frown. Choosing to help the woman since she did not want to leave the woman in blood. It was not like she knew who was in wrong even. But still, she picked the decision to lend a hand. Leading from front as the woman followed.
And so the two rushed away from the place in hurry as the men with guns followed them in speed. "I FOUND HER!! STOP RIGHT THERE!" The man yelled. "Fuck! Stop coming after us!" Veda shouted. When she could not run further more, she seized the woman's wrist in hurry.
And blended into crowd. It was the moment the guns started to aim at the people. They looked for the woman who had successfully got out of the club with the help of Veda. "Thank you so much!" The woman beamed when they two stepped out of the club with crowd.
People were still outside.
Some were on phone calls to get their drivers while some had hopped onto their cars and drove away from the place in speed. "Then excuse me" Veda pardoned herself since she accomplished her duty as her promise. "Oh, yes. Please take care of yourself"
The woman grinned with blood on her face. "You too" Veda responded with an awkward smile. Then she turned around to search for her friend. "STOP RIGHT THERE! I REPEAT! STOP WHEREVER YOU ARE AT RIGHT NOW!" Out of the blue, a shout echoed in the street.
Capturing everyone's attention. And the woman frozed. "Found you" a smile smeared up on the man's lips at the sight. It terrified the woman wholly so that she grabbed the arm of Veda in fright. Startling Veda who was about to escape from the place. "What are you doing?"
She asked in puzzlement. Furrowing her brows in disappointment as she attempted to shove the grip away while the man walked near to them with a pistol in his hand. "No, please don't take me to that hell again" the woman pleaded in tears.
"Quit complaining and come back with us already, Young Miss" the man voiced and stood across the two women. "VEDA!!" Suddenly, Aria bumped into the man along with a shout just to run into her friend. It was the moment the woman's eyes lit up. The chance had appeared.
"Let's go!"
The woman mumbled and dragged Veda away from place. Leaving Aria at the spot in perplexity. "Wait! No! Why do I have to run away with you?!" Veda queried. Trying to shake away the grasp of the woman. "They are going to kill you for helping me out. You need to hide as well"
The woman replied without turning back as she continued running. "Wait! What the fuck did you just say? Who the fuck are they? And what the fuck did you do?!" Veda threw the questions in confusion. "He is a crime lord. He will kill you once he finds out you helped me to escape"
The woman shouted an explanation. Stunning Veda wholly so that her eyes widened. "Just what the fuck is going on?!" She murmured with a tightened frown. Failing to catch up. "Wait wait wait! The car!" Suddenly, Veda alerted in panic at the view of a car coming in speed.
Her shout caused the woman to look to the right direction where the car was heading to them in high speed. "Oh shit" She cursed under her breath. Rushing to the right side of the street in hurry as the two fell onto the platform. However, unexpected incident occurred in an instant.
Veda happened to fall right upon the body of the woman since she was being dragged. Because of the weight and slight push of Veda, the woman's head met with the hard ground. Completely making her lose consciousness right at the spot in pool of her own blood.
The woman had lost her life.
Just in a blink.
