Synopsis
“Do you believe in the rumours?” She asked, tilting his chin up to meet her gaze. A surge of fear overwhelmed him as his throat went dry, her eyes were clearly abnormal and animalistic, a predator which could devour him at any second. Yet after getting a good look, his eyes begun to sparkle brightly. His lips turned into a smile almost instantly, as he reached for her hands. Despite her’s being frozen solid, he seemed to pay no mind to it and it made her a bit stiff. “If you’re really a vampire, would you like my blood to repay you?” He asked, no hint of nervousness in his voice. In his eyes, she was like a beautiful gem which just saved him, even if she had left him out in the halls to freeze for the last week. Surprised, she took a single step back before slapping his hand away. “It seems the cold has made you delusional. How annoying.” She growled lifting her hand up in the air and flicking her wrist, sending him flying. By her strength, he’d end up at the bottom of the mountain if he survived. Turning her heel she immediately teleported back to her mansion, returning to the empty halls of her solitary lifestyle. That was the first time in centuries she spoke freely with a human, she nearly forgot how warm they were. Nevertheless, she would never touch one again… “Please, marry me!” The mysterious honey-blonde man had returned once again the next morning, hiking all the way up the mountain and into her mansion, proposing to her with a large ring and a flushed look. He wore much warmer clothes and was filled with nerves as he tried to look her in the eye, asking for her hand. She had no idea how to deal with him, other than taking the ring and completely breaking it with one touch. “Leave.” She demanded for the umpteenth time as she could see his eyes sadden and a figurative tail stop wagging. This man really was like a puppy. “Did I propose wrong? Is it different in vampire custom? Do you want the wedding gifts now?” He asked while still kneeling, begging her to give him a chance as she shut her room door hard enough for the mansion to shake, and boarded it up with wood. Chapter 1 - the beginning. [prologue]

Fire raged as far as the human eye could see, followed by a the freezing cold pellets of snow that rained from the palm of the woman who stood before the people. Her eyes were numb and her tears were no longer, not because she was no longer in agony, they froze just like her heart did for the people of this land. Forcing her eyes open, she could barely see the crowd despite her heightened sense of vision, choosing to stare at one place in specific. "You may punish me however you see fit. My crime is irrefutable." She said as her voice thundered the area.

The hopeless screams of the crowds of the people were meaningless to her. Did they scream out of sadness when this all begun? People will only care when they themselves are at a loss. "But. Every time a new generation of royalty is born, there will be a great tragedy which ensues." Her body was slowly being enveloped by the snow, as the guards tried to push her down and stab right through her body, failing.

"The firstborn will always wither before they reach adulthood. The second will always be surrounded by monsters. The third will never be able to see, and the fourth will be taken by me before adulthood." She coughed as another sword rammed straight through her back, causing her to fall to her knees while weakened. Her skin was freezing, her face numb, her body felt like pins were all over.

"Silence!" The man across from her tried to yell as she glared while pulling the weapon all the way in and crushing the steel blade with one hand. "Failure to produce heirs for the next generation will break this seal on me, those are my conditions for being sent away." The vampire smiled as the magicians finally transported her body far away, onto a mountain foreign to the people she once considered beautiful.

All alone she tried to look at where she was. She wouldn't die, or rather she couldn't. Her curse of immortality would forever haunt her no matter where she would go. Clutching her lower abdomen, she forced herself up and begun to walk to the nearest tree to rest under the shade.

A curse was an advance spell. He taught her this before, but she could never find herself able to curse at the people she saw as adorable. Soft and frail was how she would have described humans.

Yet, they were horrifying monsters. Being different, stronger, foreign, or weaker would get you punished as they would simply take advantage of you with no second thought, that was her current ideology behind the concept of the species called "human".

The only things left she had on her was half a glove as one went missing or didn't teleport, a necklace which stopped her from unleashing the ice which snapped, and worn down clothes which were now in shambles.

There was also that, but she dared not take the box out. Maybe she afraid that was missing, or there were just too many painful memories. Either way she closed her eyes and begun resting to regain her strength.

As she slept the land of the mountain slowly differed. The animals begun shivering, sensing a great disturbance as over the span of a hundred years, the grass went from a warm inviting green to a cold tundra white that enveloped the entirety of the mountain, her border of living from then on.

The animals ran or adapted into beasts which had to survive the severe cold, the people who even once thought of claiming this 'untouched' land ran after setting a single foot. The girl too, underwent changes.

Her body which was already thin and pale grew more sickly as she did not consume anything to quench her thirst. Her hair grew long, way past her knees and dragged on the floor, the tips were still blue but the top was now silver.

Although unseen, her eyes embraced her true vampire roots and turned into a brilliant pink and yellow. One eye still remained the same, but the other had transformed in order to not spend so much time within a chrysalis state, neither eye will ever go transformation again and she was now stuck with them.

"The once bountiful land too vast to venture… now a frozen wonderland." With her eyes shooting open, she felt her throat was hoarse and desired hot liquid to cool her body and stop the frost she felt around her. Blood.

The beginning was something she would prefer to miss. However, it seemed like that would not occur. The first fourth born has reached teenage. Choosing to settle with a monster for the next ruler, then two blind ones, they finally decided to try and have more children than she announced. Or rather, she knew the current king had as many as possible without concern.

She pitied the children but got up and felt her body as overly light. She refused to drink, and decided on the child. An expendable resource meant to be taught a lesson by her. She was slightly irritable that they decided to simply have more than enough, but still retained her anger as she jumped.

Momentarily, she was at the foot of the mountain and snarled as she was let out. Her body moved on their own and was transported to the palace, her arms gripped the boy who was named fourth by birth order.

"I'm sorry." She wanted to say, but no words came out. Instead, she grabbed the boy and he screamed as the people of the court shuddered while her body disappeared just like the prince.

The only way she could leave the mountain was to snatch the fourth born and that was automatic. Annoyed she turned while still holding the little creature of royalty and loosened her grip after seeing him fall to the ground as his body became enveloped in ice. Although he was too late to be saved, she still buried the boy by a small building she created and called a home, beginning to regret the thing she had became while distraught.
