Chapter 51 - Chapter 51

"Are you done eating it's almost time to go." Ian said. It was already 10am and Amara was taking her time eating her breakfast. "Just a few more minutes." Amara said. "But that's what you said twenty minutes ago." Ian said. "Hey I have to right okay, do you want me to choke on my food." Amara said and Ian rolled his eyes, she knew very well that Ian was an impatient person but she still made things as slow as she could just to annoy him because she knew that he could not do anything to her now that she is pregnant. "You are taking advantage of the situation aren't you?" Ian asked raising his eyebrow. "What, how can you accuse me of such a thing I just don't want to choke on my food." Amara said. 'Just 8 more months and you can finally have your way with her' Ian told himself. "Please finish up." He said. "The more you talk to me the more time I will take to finish up." She said, and Ian shook his head leaving. If she could read his mind then there was no way she could behave like this.

After to what felt like centuries to Ian Amara came out of the dining hall and she found Ian sitting outside. "Okay I'm done now." She said with a smile on her face. "Finally." Ian said standing up from where he was seated, he really hated waiting he didn't know how his father used to cope when Lacey would take hours to get dressed for a simple party. "Okay come on time to go." He said and Amara followed behind him, they got into the car and they drove off. Amara was feeling nervous and excited, she was excited because Ian was taking her to his mother's grave, she had hope that maybe, maybe he had changed or maybe he was falling in love with her. But we all know that the heart can lead you to your worst nightmare.

After three hours they arrived to a cemetery, they both got out of the car, looking at the cemetery it reminded her of the time she used to visit her aunt's grave with her mother. Her mother was someone that she would never forget in her entire life. They entered the gates of the cemetery, just as usual it was quiet and peaceful, there were only a few people visiting other graves, but cemeteries were hardly full.

After a few moments they stopped walking. "This is her grave." He said, and Amara saw the grave of his mother, it was big, it looked like a small glass house. There were flowers inside that needed to be changed and a small picture of Lacey. Ian opened the glass door and he removed the old flowers replacing them with new ones and then he knelt down taking a deep breath and then he started talking. "Hey mom, it's been a while since I've come to see you... I just want you to know that I miss you, a lot. I really wish that you were with me now... I need you mom, Dorothy needs you, I'm still mad at you for dying a leaving us, leaving dad. You should have seen the pain that he was trying to hide from all of us, I'm sure you did because he told me that you are watching over us and that you love us dearly. "He said and Amara could see tears rolling down his cheeks and he quickly wiped them off, Amara knelt down next to him rubbing his back. "It's okay to cry Ian." She said softly, this was the first time that she had seen this side of Ian. He took a deep breath, sighing. Then he continued talking to his mother. "Just so you know mom, you are going to be a grandmother... And just as you always wished for me to be happy, I am happy, happily married to a beautiful woman." He said, and Amara felt goosebumps just by the words that he was saying. 'Does he mean it' Amara asked herself, if he meant it then it would mean the world to her.

After a few minutes ian stood up ready to leave "It's time for us to go mom, we'll make sure to visit you more often." He said. "Come on let's go" He said looking at Amara and she slowly nodded her head. They left and the got into the car driving away. While in the car Amara's mind had a lot of questions that she wanted to ask Ian but she didn't know how to ask. She clears her throat. "Uhm Ian, did you..." He cut her off before she could finish. "Mean what I said? Yes I did." He said. "It's okay if you don't know how to react, we'll talk about it when we get home, don't think too much it's not good for you, just relax." He said. 'How can you expect me not to think a lot after what you said.' Amara asked herself in her head. This wasn't a lot of information for her to take in but it left her with a lot of questions.

After 3 hours they arrived at Ian's house, they got out of the car and they went into the house, Amara went upstairs to take a shower, she was tired and sleepy. Staying in the car for too long made her feel tired and uncomfortable. She opened the door to the bathroom, she closed it then she took off her clothes and she got into the shower. She turned it on feeling the warm water running down her entire body, making her body and mind to feel relaxed and free. Showering always made her to feel at peace and forget all about her problems. Even though she still could not get Ian out of her mind, she wondered if she had fallen for him or was it even right for her to fall for someone who had abused and hurt her both physically and emotionally. She just told herself to wait and see what happens or if he had true feelings for her.
