Cold winds were steadily rustling through the green tops in the highlands. The sky was grey. A bit gloomier than it normally is at this time of the day. A storm was approaching from north-east. It was hauntingly quiet and peaceful. Amara was sitting inside staring up at the sky her mind was pre-occupied with some deep thoughts. It appeared as if she was afraid, confused and maybe a bit upset too. The overcast sky gave way to drizzle. After a short while, the rain got a lot heavier. The rain droplets were being slackened down by the roof and the tall trees. The ground was completely covered with a carpet of leaves that parted from trees during the autumn. The storm was at its peak now. Even the rumbling sounds of lightning bolts could not get her out of her profound thoughts. It kept raining for a while and she continued to be lost deep in her own thoughts.
After some time she heard a voice calling her name, and it seemed as though that voice had been calling her name for a while now but that could not get her out of her thoughts either. Then she heard someone tapping her shoulder and she looked at who was it and it was the butler. "Miss, I have been calling your name for a while now, are you ignoring me on purpose." He said raising his eyebrow. "I was just lost in deep thought that is why I could not hear you." She said. She was not in the mood to argue with him at this moment. "The young master has woken up and he would like to see you." He said sighing. Amara was a little shocked, why on earth would he want to see her. Ian had been unconscious for three days, those three days were peaceful for Amara, there was no body ordering her around or threatening her, the only thing that she had to deal with was his butler's attitude towards her which was not a good one. But she knew how to put him in his place. "Why does he want to see me." She asked. "I don't know why don't yiu go and find out yourself." He said walking away. Sometimes Amara w I uld ask herself if this guy was on periods or what. Because he seriously behaves like a woman on her periods. She stood up and she walked upstairs to Ian's room to see what it is that he wanted from her.
She stopped in front of the door to his room, she took a deep breath and the she opened the door, and she walked in. She saw Ian sitting on his bed. There was anElectronic vital sign monitor on the right side of his bed. He was reading a book and there was a bandage rapped around his head, she really did hit him hard. He looked up, his face showed no expression, he was not sad, he was not happy nor was he angry. His face was just blank. "Come here." He said in a lower tone. She slowly walked towards him, she had no idea what it is that he wanted from her. She stopped as soon as she reached the left side of the bed. "Why are you standing there? Come, sit here next to me." He said. And she sat down next to him. He closed the book that he was reading and he out it down on his right side. "Do you know how much I admire your guts?" He said, holding her hand, her body flinched at the feeling of his cold hand on her hand. "It's okay I will not hurt you."He said truthfully. "You see, nobody has had the guts to do what you did to me, not to even touch but you... You did it. I really admire your guts... You know I thought that I would be mad at you for attacking me but I am not, actually I am proud of you." He said. "Proud?" Amara asked confused, why on earth would you be proud of someone that beat the life out of you and caused you to lose so much blood. "Yes, proud. You are different from every one else. You are actually the first person to attack me without fear, without regret. You really surprised me." He said. Amara couldn't understand exactly what was happening with this man, maybe he was planning something and he was waiting for her to let her guard down and he would attack her. She thouth to herself but she was not going to fall for whatever trap he was setting. "Anyway about your father's body, I was not the one that did it. Someone else had done it." He said. "If you were not the one then why were you laughing." She asked him. She didn't believe him. "Because I do not give a damn about your father being in his grave or not. It doesn't bother me." He said. "Just as I thought, you are just a heartless bitch who only cares about himself." She said. "Yes, that is exactly what I am and I love myself for that. Let me tell you something darling, caring about others and being kind will only lead to nothing but your destruction because those whom you care about and those whom you are kind to, do not care about you and they can not wait fir the day you lose everything, so that you can go to them for help instead of you helping them. "He said. "Go to hell." She said. She knew that Ian's words were true because the people that she once called her friends abandoned her and they turned their backs on her when she needed them the most. But she decided not to believe his words, maybe she had just surrounded herself with the wrong people maybe, she is yet to find the right people, maybe they were not the right ones for her. "Hell? Sure with pleasure. I will enjoy it because I will find those who are like me, those who understand me better, those who know what kindness and love can lead to, those who know that being heartless is the only way to live in this world." He said. "Yeah sure, suit yourself. Just because that is how you feel doesn't mean that, that is how things are supposed to be. I am going fir a walk." She said standing up but he stopped her. "Did I tell you to go." He said, grabbing her arm and holding it tightly. "I am not your puppet, and I am not going to do things because you say so." She said. "Okay fine, then I won't mind changing your mother's resting place." He said. "What?!" She said. Was he really going to do it, hadn't he made her life miserable enough. "Fine go ahead." He said and she sat down. "Good girl, you know what I like about you?" He said. "No I don't want to know." She said. "You are a feisty one aren't you, that us exactly what I like in you." He said. She couldn't wait fir this guy to die and burn in hell for all of eternity. Next time she would have to stab him in the heart a million times and burn him. She thought to herself. But that would not be easy since the butler is watching her every move all the time because he knows that that was not the last time she will attack Ian. Maybe she needed to get rid of the butler first, but that wouldn't be easy but she would have to try.
