Bailey kept shaking her head and pacing long after Chase left the room. She couldn't imagine why she was even considering such an asinine plan. She hated him, and as far as she could tell, this contract marriage thing would only serve to shackle her to The Happy Homemaker persona even more. This was the polar opposite of what she wanted.
On the other hand, if he would shorten the contract from five years to two, it was to her benefit to give it a shot. Worst case, she would kill him in his sleep during the first week. She would be arrested and go to prison. Anyone who knew the man would realize it was justifiable homicide, and she'd be out in no time. By the time she was released, The Happy Homemaker would be barely a speck in the history books.
