Chapter 43 - Magical Girl Sylveon is BACK!

{Author's Note}

NEW CHAPTER! YEAH!

Just like before, I had a blast writing the lines for Sylveon. As you'll see as well, I added a little something to complete her look and her dedication to her favorite Blood God.

Also, I would like to state something: I know I say to leave comments on the chapter and paragraphs at the end of every chapter, but I would like to, right here and now, make some requests:

1: Please don't make comments in other languages without also translating them. I don't care enough about you to do the translations on my end, so it's unlikely to actually be read at all.

2. Do not use excessive amounts of emojis. That makes me want to write even less just to make you miserable. One or two emojis is good, but 20 overkill and your an idiot for using that many. If this offends you, GOOD! I'm not a nice person, just a very creative one.

3. If you see a typo or a grammatical mistake, PLEASE point it out. I do enjoy correcting the things that Google Docs' grammar checker didn't catch, as it makes the story just that little bit more bearable for future readers to go read through.

Anyway, as usual, here is a discord link that won't expire: ht tps ://dis cord.g g/h5JKH KCBDA

Come around, ask questions, avoid the Cat, and generally talk to people! Or become a lurker like the other 90% of the people on my server. As long as you have fun!

OON WOOTH THOO STOOROO

***

Any sane person would find multiple aspects of Kevin's Sylveon form unsettling upon first glance, let alone seeing for the second time as Alice was. Her obviously-unhinged grin contrasted with her adorable clothes and stature was the first thing to set off red flags in Lily's head. Next came the actual words she'd just shouted, which were once again made all the more disturbing by her childish voice. Hell, even the way she was standing, as if ready to throw a fist or tear through someone with her claws at a moment's notice, was enough to make the woman regret agreeing to being on the receiving end of a beat-down from the short girl.

However, two-thirds of the room's other occupants would agree that the most spine-chilling aspect of Kevin's Sylveon evolution was the large weapon currently clutched in her right hand. At first glance, it looked like a sword, but a closer inspection revealed it was so much worse. Lining both the front and back of the blade were innumerable tiny blades; and, just like her wardrobe, it was colored in various shades of pink, white, and baby blue.

"...Kevin..." Alice spoke, eyeing the weapon cautiously. "What is that thing?"

The Sylveon grinned even wider and raised the weapon to inspect it. "It appears that my prayers have been answered! Evil shall tremble at the sight of this symbol of unity and bloodshed! I shall call it: the PAINSWORD! Half chainsaw, half sword, and all pain!"

As Kevin would later discover after changing back, this chainsword was actually integrated into his Sylveon form's 'wardrobe' by the Being during the 2.0 update. It wasn't mentioned by the system or put in the Change Log because the likelihood of the boy ever willingly turning back into this form was already at an all-time low. What would be the point of telling him about an upgrade to an evolution he wasn't likely to use again in the future?

To say the teenager would be miffed after he changed back would be an understatement.

While the two normal-sized women continued to stare at the deadly weapon with a mixture of awe and unease, Sylph's reaction to the transformation was different. Stars could practically be seen in her eyes as she flew around her host, falling head over heels for the change in wardrobe. The combination of the dress, ribbons, and silky hair gave off a fairy-like appearance she'd never seen in anyone bigger than her current form.

Spotting the little Spirit, Kevin called out to her. "Sylph! Is my trusty Mascot ready to follow me in my crusade against the Forces of Darkness!?"

"Of course, Magical Girl Sylveon!" she enthusiastically shouted back, dramatically giving her 'husband' a salute. It was hard for someone so naturally energetic to NOT get caught up in the momentum of the psychotic Fairy-Type, so instead she read Kevin's mind and followed the corrupted expectations she found within.

"Then together we shall rid this abominable mansion of the evil that taints it!" Kevin grinned, raising her own arm into the air, her hand folded into a fist. "For Love! For Friendship! And especially for Ultra-Violence!"

"YEAH!"

Off to the side, the mansion's owner was having trouble understanding what was going on. "I just...but we were going to...what...?" After running through the emotional rollercoaster from having her purpose for living ripped out from under her, the sheer ridiculousness of the scene before her was causing Lily's brain to short circuit.

"I would be running, if I were you," Alice suddenly said, drawing the verdette's attention to her.

"Why would I run? I already resigned myself to this fight."

Alice nodded. "That may be so, but the stakes just changed. As you've probably noticed, Kevin's personality changes depending on the form he is in; and while most of them are unbearable in one way or another, this one is particularly...vicious."

Taking one more look at the sparkling idiots a few feet away, Lily had her doubts. "Are you...joking?"

"Let me shed a little perspective on you," the disguised lamia began with a grin. "The last time he used this form, he tortured two dark elves while shouting about how he was going to 'beat them to death with their own skulls' and 'sacrifice them to the Blood God.' Throughout the whole ordeal, she never lost her cheery attitude and childish way of speaking."

Lily could tell from Alice's expression that she was telling the truth. "Do you think...I have any chance of actually...escaping?" the witch whimpered, her face now pale.

Alice shook her head. "Not at all, but I'd say that any amount of time you can buy before being subjected to THAT is worth running away for."

That was all of the encouragement the woman needed to spur her into action. Moving as quickly as possible while also maintaining an inhuman level of stealth, Lily maneuvered herself around the edge of the room toward the door. A portion of her attention was diverted toward the two overly happy girls just a few feet away, just in case either of them noticed her movements.

"We are going to purge this world of all who would harm the young boys and girls!" Kevin shouted with excessive enthusiasm.

"Yeah!" Sylph cried back in agreement. "Evil shall tremble at our might!"

"We will punish the wicked!"

"Yeah!"

"Brutalize them!"

"YEAH!"

"Make goblets out of their skulls and drink their fresh blood from them!"

"YEA-wait..." the small fairy-like Spirit cut herself off. Instead of pointing out how fucked up her host's last statement was, though, her focus was on something behind the Sylveon. "Is she leaving?"

"WHAT!?" Kevin screamed, whipping around and swinging her chainsword in the process.

"Fuck!" Lily cursed in response. She was so close to getting out without being detected. Throwing caution to the wind at that point, the human dashed to the door and wrenched it open. Slamming it shut behind her, she was just fast enough to pull out a key and lock the padlock before Kevin was able to make a full lunge toward her.

To most, locking the door behind her would seem like a waste of time when trying to escape from a homicidal Magical Girl. What made this a worthwhile action, though, was the fact that Lily had long since placed dozens, if not hundreds, of defensive runic formations all over the walls of her study, both interior and exterior. Each and every one of these formations was set to activate the moment the tumbler in the lock was set, turning the room into an unbreachable and inescapable bunker. She'd originally set this up in case the King of Sabasa finally wised up to her plans and sent a retinue of soldiers, Heroes, and mages to stop her. Now, however, she was using it to keep someone in, instead of out, as she immediately made as much distance between her and the room as possible.

Back inside the room, Kevin was not happy at all.

"That was so RUDE!" she complained, petulantly stomping her foot in childish anger. "How dare she take advantage of our heartwarming pre-battle chanting!"

Sylph flew around in front of her host to take a closer look at the seals. After a few seconds, she turned back to Kevin with a smile. "No need to worry, Sylveon! These seals are radiating Dark Type Energy, so you should have no problem breaking them down!"

The short teenager's attitude flipped back to happiness once again as she grabbed the Spirit and brought her into a tight hug. "I knew I could rely on my trusted Mascot! Just for that, I'll use a special Move to break us out, in your honor!"

"Just do it already," Alice grumbled from the side, holding her head in one hand. 'It was bad enough when I had to deal with one of them, but two is giving me a headache,' she thought in irritation.

Not affected by the only 'downer' in the room, Kevin waved Painsword like a wand. "Sparkle and Shine, your request is mine!" she cheerfully replied, her action punctuated by a trail of glitter following the movements of her weapon. "I shall shatter these barriers with a special [Fairy Wind!]"

Thrusting the chainsword forward, both it and her body started emitting a shimmering pink glow. This lasted for only a second, and was quickly followed by the glittering aura launching toward the locked door, accompanied by hurricane-force winds that almost instantly made a mess of her surroundings. Papers flew off of the desk, books were wrenched from their shelves, and containers of various substances were shattered and spilled everywhere. Had there been anyone else in the study with less power than a Queen Class monster, they would also have been picked up and thrown around.

[Fairy Wind - Fairy Type Move]

[Description: The user attacks by stirring up a fairy wind to strike the target.]

It took all of five seconds for every single one of the magical formations to shatter, leaving only the comparatively-fragile doors and walls between the magical girl and her crusade against 'the forces of Evil.' They were also easily destroyed, this time by the Sylveon revving her chainsword and using it to decimate them in only a few swings, slicing through the wood and stone like butter.

The sight she was greeted by on the other side wasn't that of an empty hallway lined with jail cells. Having wanted to slow down her approaching doom in any way possible, Lily had opened every single cell as she passed, letting all of her experiments roam free in hopes that their sheer number would stall the psychopathic loli for just a few more minutes. She mainly thought that her pursuer would rather try to maneuver around the hoard of tentacled horrors, so as not to risk harming the innocent.

It's too bad she didn't know about Kevin's ability to seal.

"Oh, you poor things!" the Sylveon dramatically cried out, realistic tears falling from her eyes at the sight of the approaching mutants. "Victims of that Evil woman's experiments! I will free you from your torment!" she declared, her chainsword once again revving as she prepared to literally cut her way through the crowd.

"I will help too, Sylveon!" Her trusty Mascot declared, posing atop her head rather than hide away inside the teen's soul.

Taking inspiration from the Move Kevin had just executed, Sylph took hold of the stagnant air within the mansion and whipped it into a frenzy. Blades of pure wind tore through brick, metal, and flesh; miniature tornadoes formed within the few empty spaces and rapidly moved toward unsuspecting test subjects; and cries of pain were carried away before they could reach those not currently being attacked by the wind. Fortunately for them, being bound to Kevin's soul made all of Sylph's attacks carry the same sealing properties, so no permanent damage was done, other than to the building around them.

Kevin, seeing her companion taking the lead on 'saving' the crowd of failed experiments, also threw herself into the fray. The mindless mass of people-turned-monsters were drawn directly to her due to the lingering scent of her male form, eager to drain the semen from whatever poor soul they could get their hands on. Instead, they were met with a hundred miniscule blades spinning around a central point hacking their bodies apart...and those were the lucky ones.

The living blender of carnage that was Kevin tore through their ranks like a fat kid through a cookie store. While one hand hacked and slashed with Painsword, her appendages weren't idle. An Iron Maiden was launched through the air with a kick, embedding itself in the wall before dissolving into particles of light; A woman with tentacle arms had one of said tentacles forcefully ripped off with the Sylveon's free hand, but was decapitated by the chainsword before she could cry out in pain; and multiple others fell victim to the enthusiastic magical girl biting chunks out of their flesh if they came too close to her mouth with her impossibly sharp teeth.

Alice, following behind the two engines of perpetual violence, had to be careful to step over the bodies of the unconscious women and children who had been sealed. Every once in a while she spotted the shrunken form of a sealed man who had been caught up in the battle, but they were far and few between, most having already been sucked dry and devoured by the other denizens of the mansion. The Monster Lord idly wondered how many victims would make it out by the end of her companions' rampage.

Speaking of which... "Sylph, could you please stop knocking out support pillars?" she called out to the Spirit. "Any more and the building will fall on top of us."

"Don't worry! You would survive it!" the fairy-like woman cheerfully replied.

"Yeah, but the humans wouldn't," the lamia pointed out.

"...good point!"

They continued to carve a path through the hoard of test subjects until they finally reached the entryway of the mansion once again. The entire building was silent for the first time in years, with no moans of pleasure or pain filling the halls. All that remained were the muted breaths of the victims that had been rendered unconscious, who would eventually wake up to find their lives back to...relative normality. After all, the experiments had permanently altered their DNA, so even if they could change back, those tentacles would be with them forever.

The trio arrived just as Lily was opening the front doors to escape into the city.

"Stop, Evildoer!" Kevin shouted, dashing across the room to catch up as quickly as possible. "You cannot escape the wrath of Magical Girl Sylveon!"

Lily turned around to see the rapidly-approaching loli and immediately panicked. "No!" she cried out, crossing her arms defensively in front of her. However, knowing that this wouldn't be nearly enough, she instinctually released the mass of worm-like tentacles hidden within her own body for extra protection, weaving them into a wall that even most monsters would find difficult to break through.

Kevin wasn't like most monsters, though. (A/N: Insert obligatory "I'm not like other girls" meme here.)

Rather than simply bust through the wall of writhing flesh, the Sylveon decided to go with the 'overkill' option instead. Raising her weapon high into their air, she briefly summoned what looked to be a vortex of pale blue light at the tip. "Take this! The power of the moon and all of its destructive malice! [Moonblast!]" she called out, before waving the sword like a wand and unleashing a massive beam of pure energy.

[Moonblast - Fairy Type Move]

[Description: Borrowing the power of the moon, the user attacks the target. This may also lower the target's offensive stats.]

The Village Lord had less than a second to gawk at the overwhelming attack before it completely engulfed her. Pain lanced through her entire body as the beam burned her flesh and completely obliterated more than a few of her tentacles. It also launched her through the air and into the center of the village, where she crashed and made a giant crater.

While most of the time, the villagers would have remained within their houses and tried to avoid conflict, almost all of them recognized Lily before her body impacted on the ground. Some were shocked by the monstrous appendages sticking out of her, but the majority had already suspected that something was up with the woman from the beginning. They just weren't able to voice their suspicions without being accused of being witches and disappearing, never to be seen again.

What did shock everyone was the monster girl that followed closely after their injured leader. Nobody recognized her, but some drew a connection between her and the boy that had headed up to the mansion just a few hours ago. She did have the same fairy with her, after all, and they could see the white haired woman leaving the manor as well.

"Now that I have you where I want you," Kevin began, skipping over to the prone form of her victim. "I'm going to rip out your ribs and stab you in the eyes with them!"

Everyone close enough to hear this immediately snapped their heads to look at the deceptively adorable girl, wondering how something so violent could come out of her mouth and still sound cute at the same time.

When the words reached Lily's ears, on the other hand, her blood ran cold. It took every ounce of strength she could muster to roll over and crawl away from her approaching doom. She would've run away, but her legs were covered in magical burns, making it impossible for her to stand, let alone flee. Whatever tentacles she had left were useful in making her crawl just a bit faster, but it wasn't enough.

She knew that her time to truly face retribution had come when a shoe-clad foot slammed into her spine, pinning her to the ruined dirt road. A single glance over her shoulder proved that it belonged to the psychopathic little girl. who was now standing over her and grinning down at Lily with an immense amount of corrupted glee.

"Nowhere to run now, Villain!" Kevin declared, resting the back of her chainsword on her shoulder. "You have finally been captured by Magical Girl Sylveon! It's time for you to pay for your crimes in blood! For Khorne!"

Before she could begin her 'totally-justified punishment,' though, Sylph flew off of the Magical Girl's head and addressed the crowd. "Attention villagers! Magical Girl Sylveon is about to punish your Village Lord for her crimes against humanity! Children and those of you with weaker stomachs are recommended to either look away, or go back to your homes until the punishment has concluded!"

That was the only warning they received before Kevin got to work.

Over the next hour, the Sylveon made what the boy had done to Amira in the Sabasa dungeons look like a small slap on the wrist. To call it torture would be an understatement of astronomical proportions, considering the fact that most professional 'interrogators' would look at the interactions she was having with her victim and promptly ask 'what the actual fuck!?' Everything from cutting off fingers and limbs one at a time, breaking bones OFF only to stab them back into the softer parts of her body, and multiple applications of the Blood Eagle (look it up), were used to make Lily regret ever being born. The only reason she remained conscious throughout the whole event was because of a liberal application of [Floral Healing] from her tormentor.

Even the more vindictive villagers became uncomfortable after the first fifteen minutes. Towards the end, the only onlookers of the torture session were Alice and Sylph. The former was caught between being impressed at the number of torture techniques this form seemed to know, and dreading this form ever getting ahold of another one of her cute subordinates. She really hoped that Kevin would find another counter for Dark Types soon, or else even leaving a monster alive in a sealed state wouldn't be much of a mercy.

On the other hand, Sylph was enjoying the show. Not because of the actual violence, mind you, but more because she could feel a lot of pent up stress and aggression within Kevin's heart being released. She could tell that he would be just a bit happier once he changed back...after he was finished sorting out the psychological nightmare that was remembering his time in this form. THAT can of worms wouldn't be fun to deal with at all.

The Sylveon's session of what some might call 'advanced interrogation' only came to a halt when more people started coming out of the mansion. All of the men and women who had been sealed in the magical girl's escape massacre had finally regained consciousness and were using the opportunity to leave the building, some for the first time in years.

Upon seeing them, Kevin finally came down from her haze of bloodlust. At her feet, Lily lay prone, none of her limbs currently attached to her body. Tears flowed from her blank eyes as she endured the pain, knowing that she deserved this and more, but also wishing that it would just end already. Well, she received her wish when, in one final motion, Kevin used her chainsword to cut the woman's head off, finally sealing her back into her normal human form and allowing her to drift into the land of nightmares. I say nightmares instead of dreams because the mental scars the Sylveon had left her with wouldn't allow her to have a good night's sleep for years to come.

"Hello!" Kevin shouted to the pale people who hadn't seen the light of day in months, at the very least. "My name is Magical Girl Sylveon, and I am proud to tell you that you are all free! The tyrannical Villain who has kept you prisoner for so long! In the name of Friendship, Love, and Ultra-Violence, you have been saved!"

Most of the rest of the day was spent helping the villagers come to terms with the bittersweet reality of their situation. After all, not all of the men and women who had been taken into the mansion had come out, hundreds of them having died in the inhumane experiments conducted on them. They tried to thank Kevin for her help, as she was still in her Sylveon form, but her reaction wasn't what they expected.

"While I am happy that so many of you have your family members back, it's important for you to remember that this is all your fault!" she cheerfully replied.

Everyone within earshot froze at the way that the small girl had replied to one of the village elders. "What...do you mean by that?" a young man off to the side asked, dreading the answer.

"Oh! So your elders didn't tell you?" Kevin asked, looking honestly surprised. "Weeeeeelllll...the only reason why Lily did everything she did to all of you is because the people of this village treated her like garbage growing up, despite her having done nothing to deserve it. If you want, I can violently kill all of the elderly people here for getting you into this mess in the first place! Free of charge!"

The fact that none of the elders denied this accusation was all the others needed to know that the Magical Girl was telling the truth. Even some of the adults around the Village Lord's age were edging away, obviously trying to hide their own guilt. It was safe to say that by the end of the week, the population of the village might be dropping even further, and the presence of the elderly might vanish for a few years.

Kevin also made it a point to amputate the limbs of two other victims within the village: the Snitch who was responsible for throwing people under the bus, and the Priest from the Church of Ilias who took ownership of hundreds of peoples belongings without a care in the world. After removing their ability to run away from their guilt, she had promptly thrown them into the raving crowd of revenge-seeking villagers without a second thought.

Just because she didn't kill anyone, didn't mean she wasn't happy to let others do it.

By the end of the day, the trio of adventurers had left the village behind, not caring about what may happen to it in the future. After all, it's not like they would ever have to come back for any reason in the near future.

Probably...

Magical Girl Sylveon was, in my opinion, just as magical and loveable as she was last time. What do you guys think?
