[Ding! Update has been Completed! Eeveelution System Update 2.2: "Seed of Chaos" has successfully been installed!]

[Would the Host like to view the changelog for this fantastic Update?]

'...you have got to be fucking kidding me…'

It was like clockwork at this point. For the third time, he was receiving a System Update directly following a major turning point in his adventure. First was on the boat ride from the Ilias Continent paired with the encounter with Alma Elma; then was when he was leaving the Natalia region and had been coming to terms with the possibility of his few unrealistic fetishes possibly being real; and now, it was after leaving the Safina Region and getting his first consensual blowjob in both of his lives. The timing this thing had was really becoming uncanny at this point.

Both Sylph and Gnome had been alerted by the System's voice as well, and were giving him expectant looks. After having its existence explained to her, even the latter was aware of how insistent the Eeveelution System could be when it came to him reading the changelog. If he didn't choose to read it now, they would likely be kept up all night by the menagerie of sounds being played through the [Alarm] function.

"Eeeeeeee," he sighed in frustration. All he wanted was to slip into a dreamless sleep after the emotional rollercoaster he'd just been through. Was that so much to ask? Well…apparently, the answer was 'Yes.' "Vee."

At his prompting, the all-too-familiar changelog window popped up, and the System read everything aloud as the words appeared.

[After a total of 62 days of traveling since the beginning of the Host's adventure, two hidden milestones have been achieved!]

[Milestone 1: Complete One Third of your journey through the Monster Girl World!]

[Milestone 2: Take your first (semi)Voluntary step toward overcoming your sexual trauma!]

[Despite the amount of power the Host was granted from the start, there were many different ways for the Host to fail. Falling to temptation, permanently succumbing to rage, and just refusing to leave the Ilias Continent would all have disqualified the Host from becoming eligible for this update!]

[With the Host's eligibility secured, The Being has left an important message.]

The world seemed to slow down around the Eevee and his bonded Spirits as a different voice - one that Kevin hadn't heard in two months - spoke directly into their ears.

[Hey, Kiddo! If you're listening to this, that means you actually managed to meet the criteria for activating the Seed of Chaos I left inside of your soul when reincarnating you. Considering the fact that less than twenty others out of the millions I've helped reincarnate in the past have gotten this far, that's both a cause for celebration, and explanation!]

[First, and most importantly, allow me to properly introduce myself. Although you, your System, and just about everyone in the Omniverse refers to me as 'The Being,' you may be surprised to know that this is actually a shortening of my actual name. My full title is "The Being Who Embodies the Primordial Chaos of the Omniverse and Propagates Its Existence Throughout All Planes of Reality." Yes, I know it's a long one, but you have no idea how long the names of some of the other members of the Omniversal Primordial Council can get. Mine may be a whole sentence, but my counterpart's is a full paragraph.]

[Now, the question on everyone's mind at this point is usually: If I'm such a powerful Primordial Deity, why am I stuck with the job of reincarnation? Well, let's just say that my last attempt at 'shaking things up' in the domains of the other Council members ended up pissing off the one guy who stands above all of us. The Great Creator - whose full name would take a full novel to write out - decided that my punishment should be Abomination Duty for a few trillion cycles.]

[Best. Punishment. Ever.]

[You see, Abominations are the souls of the deceased that end up like yours: with a perfect balance of Good and Bad Karma, right down the decimal point. To say that this is unnatural is an understatement, and the other members of the Council who have been given the job to sort you guys out have usually made it a point to destroy the Abominations' minds and souls, and move on. There's never a shortage, either, since the souls of Abominations from across the entire Omniverse are funneled to one specific place to be dealt with.]

[Unlike all of my brothers and sisters, I took a more pragmatic approach. As the embodiment of Primordial Chaos, I started to become attached to the Abominations coming my way. You guys are just so amazingly unstable, after all, with even the less outstanding ones having the potential to become Universal-Level annoyances. So, I decided to follow the footsteps of the other members of the Council for the first time since my birth, and planted the seeds for the creation of my own Pantheon.]

[A pantheon composed solely of Chaos Gods.]

A chill ran down both Kevin and his bonded Spirits' spines at the implications of that statement. Especially when it concerned the teenager himself.

[Now, just like everyone else, I think you misheard me. I didn't want a pantheon filled with 'Gods of Chaos.' No, I wanted to create Chaos Gods: Gods whose domains, powers, and personalities conflict with themselves. It was, and is to this day, the only kind of pantheon that could truly exist with me as the leader. Wouldn't you agree?]

[As soon as I started my sentence in this prison I currently call home, I put forth the system of reincarnating the Abominations' souls, rather than eradicating them. Each one would be sent somewhere in the Omniverse with a mixture of Punishments and Rewards that would depend on how they acted in life. Most have been busts, reaching the end of their new lifespans and just getting thrown into the afterlife/reincarnation cycle of the world they found themselves in, but some…]

[A select few are like you: driven to move forward. Whether by instinct, duty, or whatever other nonsense catches their fancy, there are always those who can go further and become greater. It's for this reason that I plant a Seed of Chaos in every soul before they are sent on their way, which will only start to take root after certain achievements and/or milestones have been met. For those that fail to rise to the occasion, that seed is returned to me upon their second death, and recycled into the next soul.]

[You just happen to be one of the two dozen or so that somehow stuck to your chaotic nature enough to allow it to germinate and officially root itself within you. It won't fully blossom until you've seen your first adventure through to the end, so for now you count more as a Chaos Demigod.]

[I wonder what domains you will gain upon fully ascending to godhood?]

[Speculations aside, I just wanted to say that I'm proud of you. I see all the successful Abominations as my own children, and hope your rise is full of as many twists, turns, and dramatic moments as possible. Chaos, after all, is a process, not a destination!]

[Sincerely,]

[The Being]

"..."

"..."

"..."

To say that the three of them were speechless would be a massive understatement. Even Gnome's usual silence seemed more pronounced than usual as she, Sylph, and Kevin continued to stare at and re-read the message from the Being.

How were they supposed to process the fact that the patron god the boy had been calling an asshole and cursing for the last two months was not only an OMNIVERSAL god, but had also literally planted the seed for his ascendance to godhood in his soul? Even for the Spirits, who had been treated as gods - or godlike beings - for their entire existences, couldn't do something that spectacular. And speaking of them, would him fully becoming a so-called "Chaos God" also turn them into goddesses? They didn't feel any different at the moment, despite him being a "Chaos Demigod," but maybe that was just because their own powers were fueling his evolution?

There just wasn't enough information available to them to draw any solid conclusions, other than that the future of Kevin and all the Spirits he would bind to himself had just become a lot more complicated.

It was as their collective minds started calming down and coming to terms with this new influx of information that the Eeveelution System decided that enough time had passed, and it provided the Changelog for the update.

[UPGRADES!]

[ - {Blade of Evolution} - Among the supplies given to the Host by the Being at the beginning of the Host's journey, the one item that remained untouched was the Skinning Knife. Well, no longer shall it remain completely useless while sitting in the Bag of Holding! The Skinning Knife has been absorbed by the Eeveelution System and changed into a weapon that will evolve with you! Mentally selecting [Weapon] from the [Status] screen will equip the host with a weapon that is the best fit for the Host's current form! (Noticed you just left this thing to rust in your backpack, so I thought "Fuck it" and turned it into your first soul-bound weapon. Whether you get another in your future is up to you.)

- {Variable Virility} - Just because the Host is finally taking steps toward being more intimate with his mates, doesn't mean that there needs to be little half-pokemon/half-spirit gremlins running around in the foreseeable future! With this setting, the Host will be able to choose between 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% chances of impregnating mates during intercourse! (I may be an asshole, but I won't force you to have children. I can guarantee your bonded Spirits will be against abortion, so have this as a freebee so you can enjoy the full pleasure of banging without needing a condom.)

- {Upgraded Bag of Bedding} - For someone who is fated to have a harem of beautiful elemental women, a bed the size of a single backpack with absolutely no privacy just won't do! As such, the Bag of Bedding has been upgraded! New features include: Vastly expanded interior space greater than an Alaska King sized bed; built-in oxygen cycling so the opening can be closed for privacy; waterproof and fireproof enchantments; and sound-proof material so any activities the Host engages in with his wives will not be noticed by the outside world! (If you're gonna have sex, you might as well have it be somewhere private. You'll still need to shrink down to enter, but you technically won't NEED to sleep in your full-Eevee form anymore.)

- {Random Chaos God Encounters} - As the Being stated, the Host isn't the first Abomination to unlock the Chaos Seed. Other Chaos Gods who have finished their own quests for Godhood will now be able to visit whatever world the Host is currently in, and make contact. Only one God/Goddess of the Chaos Pantheon may visit at a time, and they will have restrictions placed on them so their presence won't interfere with the Host's adventure. (Thought you might want to meet your new brothers and sisters. They'll be swinging by whenever they're free to get to know you. Hope you have fun!)]

[BUG FIXES!]

[ - {Miraculous Money Glitch} - Despite the absorption of the [Amulet Coin] and the implementation of the [Miraculous Money] Perk, the Host has not received any gold from the last three monsters the Host has battled. This has been fixed, and the 3500 Gold owed by the System has been placed in the Host's Bag of Holding. (I thought I had coded that correctly the first time, but it looks like the variation didn't agree with the System. From now on, you will get 500 Gold for regular monsters, 2500 for Queen Class monsters, and 10000 for anything above that. Do with this what you will)]

[The Being hopes that you enjoy this Update and wishes to leave you with this message: When the Cat comes by, kick his teeth in for me.]

Upon the chipper voice of the Eeveelution System finishing its reading of the changelog, the three occupants of the Bag of Bedding immediately felt it expanding around them. It took mere seconds for it to go from a cramped compartment barely big enough for all of them to fit comfortably, to a massive 20x20 foot mattress with a deceptively-small entrance. Both Kevin and Gnome could return to their full sizes and barely take up any space in the grand scope of the bed.

Focusing back on the screen again, the teenager scrolled back up to reconfirm all of the other upgrades. While the [Variable Virility] setting ticked him off, since it reaffirmed that he would likely be having sex more in the future, he was surprisingly thankful for it. This world was too primitive to have invented condoms yet, and he was ninety-nine percent sure that even if they did have contraceptives in the form of magic, nobody would care to learn the spells. He also wasn't going to bet on the Spirits being infertile, considering how hyper-sexualized and fetishized this world was.

Next, he contemplated the [Blade of Evolution]. The System was right when it implied that he had forgotten the skinning knife. He hadn't needed to hunt for food after arriving in this world, and all of his powers were more dangerous than the knife could ever hope to be, so who could really blame him? Now, though, it had been transformed into a weapon that would suit whatever form he was in. Something told him that this was to make up for the discovery of the new chainsword that manifested with his Sylveon form, but he couldn't bring himself to dislike it.

What both sent shivers down his spine and filled him with anticipation at the same time was the [Random Chaos God Encounters]. It made sense that he wasn't the only one to be reincarnated like this, but he didn't expect to have to meet any others. Now, he was faced with the fact that not only was he going to have reincarnators visiting him, but they were likely to be vastly more powerful than him, and possibly more morally bankrupt. The insurance that they wouldn't be able to fuck with him too badly was nice, but he knew that there were plenty of ways to get around the rules if one looked hard enough.

Sighing, he dismissed the window and went back to curling around Sylph. The final silver lining in the form of him actually getting the money the System promised him eased his nerves just enough for him to try going back to sleep. Not being completely broke and relying on Alice to pay for literally everything would be a big plus, in his opinion, and the thought of pulling out copious amounts of money without telling her he had it in advance brought a smile to his face.

As for Gnome and Sylph, they followed his lead. There would be plenty of time for them to explore the new System upgrades tomorrow, after all. With his track record, it was almost guaranteed that some kind of monster would pop up out of nowhere the day after the System updated. For now, they would cuddle with their Host and fall back into dreamless sleep.

{The Next Morning}

It only took Alice five minutes after waking up to know exactly what Kevin and Sylph were up to the previous night. The faint smell of semen coming from the small Spirit was a dead give away, especially when paired with how relaxed the Eevee boy looked now compared to the last few days of traveling. Sure, he still had the same blank expression as usual, but the tension in all of his muscles was completely gone, as if it was never there in the first place.

Her stomach growled. In her opinion, it wasn't fair that the Wind Spirit got a taste of the teen's semen when she, the Monster Lord, had been starving herself for months at this point. There were plenty of times when she had contemplated sneaking off to her castle and using the high-quality men that the succubi living there kept around to sate her hunger, but she didn't trust Kevin to NOT cause some kind of incident without her being there to stop him.

Especially now that they were headed to a new region. She needed to be present for when - not IF, but WHEN - another Queen Class monster would decide to do something unbelievably stupid. She would be an idiot to ignore the established pattern, after all, and wouldn't even let age be a factor of trust.

'Now that I think about it,' she thought. 'Tamamo is the only monster of Queen Class or above that has actually gotten along with him. Even with the page monsters, it was more along the lines of a mutual exchange than any actual friendship coming out of the interaction. Maybe I could let her handle him while I go drink my fill? Her home village IS in the Noah Region, after all.'

Just like that, she started formulating a plan to dump babysitting duty on her old mentor so she could spend a few days away.

Oblivious to the lamia's inner musings, Kevin finished his breakfast and immediately set about cleaning up the campsite, with the help of Gnome. The ability to summon water definitely helped, since he could quickly clean the cooking utensils and the plates of both him and his travel companions before quickly stashing them in his backpack.

Speaking of the backpack, Sylph had returned to the Bag of Bedding in order to explore the new boundaries. It boggled her mind that, even when in her human-sized form, she could spread out all four of her limbs and not even take up a fourth of the space. Her, Gnome, and Kevin could each pick a corner to sleep in and not come close to touching each other. Not that they would want to…but the option was there.

When they were finally ready to be on their way, with the Spirits taking their places on their Host's head and shoulders, Alice finally broke the silence. "So, are we just going to pretend that I don't know what you and Sylph were up to last night?" she questioned with a smirk.

"Nope!" Sylph cheerfully replied. "What happiness in private time, STAYS in private time!"

The Monster Lord's eyebrow raised. "Really? I thought you wouldn't be able to STOP talking about it."

"I really do want to, but it still makes Kevin uncomfortable to think about," the tiny Spirit admitted.

"..," Gnome silently nodded.

As much as the lamia would like to keep teasing, she saw the way the boy's eye had started twitching. It was painfully apparent that despite going through with getting a blowjob the previous night, there were some facts that she remained unaware of that might've made the event less-than-voluntary.

Now she felt like a bitch for trying to tease him.

"All I will say is that a lot of Nunya happened," Kevin stated.

"Nunya? What's Nunya?"

"Nunya business," he shot back, the corner of his lip slightly tilting upward as both of his bonded Spirits snickered.

Alice was quiet for a moment. "Okay, I will admit that that was clever."

~~~
{Five Hours Later - Around Noon}
"According to my book, Grand Noah Castle is the capital of the Noah Region," Alice read aloud from her ancient-looking travel guide. "It seems there are quite a few unique specialties to be found there. The coliseum in the castle is quite famous, too."
Kevin raised his eyebrow at that. "I didn't expect you to be interested in fights like that."
"Of course I'm not," the lamia scoffed, as if offended. "The food stands in the seating area are supposed to be filled with delicacies."
"..." Gnome stared at her, before looking down at the boy carrying her on his shoulders.
"I know, Gnome. I don;t think it's possible for her to think with anything other than her stomach," he shrugged. "At this point, my theory is that it takes up the entire length of her tail. Either that, or it's normal sized and has a black hole in the middle of it."
The lamia frowned slightly. "Why are you obsessed with how my stomach works?"
He shrugged. "It's easier to think about than the existential nightmare that is the Omniversal deity who wants me to become a Chaos God.."
"...what?"
"Nothing. Don't worry about it," the boy waved off her question. "Speaking of the coliseum, how much do you want to bet that I'll somehow be bribed into participating?"
Sylph chuckled from atop his head. "That's a fool's bet, and you know it."
"You're just saying that because you don't have any money," Alice snarked.
"Hey! I do too have money!" the small Spirit shot back.
Her sister took the chance to give her a blank look and transmit her thoughts through the bond. "..."
Sylph pouted. "I know it's Kevin's money, but since we're married, that means that what's his is ours too!"
"..."
"I am not a moocher! Tell her, Kevin!"
"You kinda are," the boy replied, agreeing with the Earth Spirit. "All you really do is eat my food, annoy me, and read through my Monsterpedia for fun."
The Wind Spirit bopped him on the head with her tiny fist. "That's not true! I also provide emotional support and give amazing advice!"
"I'm willing to agree to the former. The latter is a bold faced lie."
"Meany."
"Shrimp."
"..." Gnome quietly chimed in with a light smack that knocked Sylph over, but not off the boy's head.
Turning back to her book, the Monster Lord started reading again. "Hmmhmmm...in the far off East from here, there's a village called Yamatai with a unique food culture. Sushi, tempura, sukiyaki, soba. It all sounds awfully interesting."
"Huh. Sounds like Japanese food from back home," Kevin commented. "I never got to try any of them before coming here, so maybe stopping there would be a good idea."
Alice smiled happily. It was nice to have a traveling companion that understood the importance of good food. Sure, he criticized her for thinking of nothing BUT food all of the time, but she knew that it was just playful banter at this point.
"It's always so…unnaturally disturbing when she smiles like that," Sylph whispered.
Gnome nodded in agreement.
"Just pretend that you didn't see anything and maybe it will go away," Kevin responded in a hushed tone.
Of course, the lamia heard them, but she was in too good of a mood to let their harsh words bring her down.
Speaking of hearing, the Eevee boy's ears perked up. "Do you guys hear the sound of hooves?"
Indeed, it did sound like a horse was rapidly approaching. Not only that, but Alice sniffed the air and her smile returned to her resting bitch face. "Ugh, it's one of those insatiable breeding types."
After speaking her thoughts, the purple skinned monster girl pulled off another vanishing stunt. This time, a large, glowing magical circle with dozens of runic symbols on it appeared on the ground below her. A large flash of red light was emitted by it, obscuring the Monster Lord's form, and when the light died down, she was gone.
"On the one hand, it's always funny to see how she will disappear," Sylph chuckled. "On the other hand, though, it means that a monster is coming."
