After I finished cleaning my bedsheets with magic, I went on with the rest of my day, writing in the morning, and then teaching in the afternoon.
Overall, another time skip day.
But then, finally, I was able to have some fun.
It was my first B week Wednesday, and also my first time going to Class 3: Portal Exploration.
Walking into the class, I found that I was the shortest one there, and, well, that wasn't really surprising.
All the upperclassmen looked at me weirdly and started whispering furiously, but I just ignored all of them and sat in the protagonist's seat in the back row.
They finally stopped gossiping when the teacher walked in, who, funnily enough, was Ms. Krenshaw. I definitely didn't know this beforehand.
(A/N: And this is definitely not because I'm too lazy to create another character... Definitely...)
She eyed the students, probably because she had never heard them that rowdy before, that was, until her eyes landed on me.
When she saw me, she actually took a step back in fear, making all the students in the class extremely surprised.
(A/N: He's in his Akimitsu appearance, so, Ms. Krenshaw recognizes him from the battle thingy on weapons day.)
I just sat back nonchalantly in my chair and played around with my cards.
If I was correct, then Ms. Krenshaw had probably already figured out my "identity".
I knew this solely due to the step back that she just took, as, who else would she fear in this entire school than the demonic being that had the backing of the Empress?
Also, if y'all were wondering, Ms. Krenshaw was actually monitoring the entire situation on the island from the school instead of the boat, as she was one of the most sought after teachers in the school, so she couldn't just skip her classes.
She just teleported from the ship to the campus and vice versa whenever she needed to travel.
(A/N: I know that someone would have got on my ass for that if I hadn't put it in, so I just put it in.)
Anyways, back to the class, as I had skipped the first week, when she had explained all the instructions and stuff, I didn't have to listen to that boring stuff, score!
And, today... we were going to go and clear a portal for the first time!
So, after she explained what type of portal we were going to go into, she finally posted the individual groups onto the screen.
[Group 1:
1. ???
2. ???
3. ???
4. .???]
'Just cannon fodder.'
[Group 2:
...]
'More cannon fodder.'
[Group 3:
1. Class 3 Rank 1
2. ???
3. ???
4. Error!]
Well, looks like I'm in the same group as my student.
I walked over to Marcielle, as two other students did the same thing.
(A/N: Everyone, brace yourself for the super generic of all generic scenarios in academy novels.)
"Now, now, now, what do we have here?"
The noble asshat looking guy immediately started verbally attacking me due to my small stature.
Then, he tried slapping my cards out of the air, as I was still doing tricks with them, but, for some reason, his hand never connected...
He tried not to show the surprised expression on his face, but he failed.
On the other hand, Marcielle was already getting tired of this.
Motioning with her hand, the 4th person in the group, seeing this, whipped out a knife from somewhere and held it to the noble guy's throat.
"Make another move, and your head will be sent to your family."
Now, you might be wondering how Marcielle was able to do this to a literal noble, but, it was just due to one thing, and that was the power of money.
As long as the person she hurt was not one of the direct descendants of one of the 7 noble families, she could do as she pleased because of her great financial backing.
The noble guy gulped, his Adam's Apple bobbing, as he raised his hands up in surrender.
I nodded gratefully to Marcielle, but she just ignored me, and waved for the 4th person in our group to back off.
Now was the moment I chose to speak up.
"How about we all introduce ourselves and our positions? My name's Akimitsu, and, well, I can take any position, as my weapons are, well, interesting to say the least. All you need to know for now is that I can be both a long range fighter, a mid range fighter, and a close range fighter."
Marcielle was the next to introduce herself.
"I'm Marcielle and I'm a whatever fighter too. I can basically do anything."
Afterwards, the 4th person spoke up.
"I'm Marcielle's assistant, Sara, and I'm a close range fighter mainly focused on agility."
I nodded at this and then we all looked towards the noble guy, waiting for his introduction."
"Tsk! I'm Trevor, and I can do anything too!" He said, clearly boasting.
Honestly, both Marcielle and I just completely ignored his statement and decided that he was just going to be dead weight.
'Straight to the back you go, you turd!' I thought in my mind, while sneering.
Well, after all of this, we took a whole hour of running to get to where the portal that we were going to was.
During this time, many of the students couldn't keep up with the pace set by Ms. Krenshaw, and were left behind.
This was solely the student's fault, so some points were taken off, and they weren't allowed to enter the portal which also hurt their group, as, unless you were in my group, then, more numbers was a better thing, not something worse.
I, of course, was able to easily stay behind Ms. Krenshaw, along with Marcielle and Sara, as my compressed muscles were able to rival the strength and stamina of those that were (C) ranked.
Trevor, on the other hand, lagged behind, but was still at the end of the main group, so he was able to enter the portal with us without being punished.
Of course, like we had all expected, he was completely dead weight, as the run had completely zapped all the energy out of him.
Well, even with this dead weight, we entered the dungeon.
Like the portal I had entered on the island, we were teleported to a random place, just, this time, my whole group stayed together.
Opening our eyes, we found ourselves on a sandbar, the ocean waves lapping at our feet.
The sandbar circled around this island in the middle, and, as we were getting acclimated to the climate in the inside of the portal, we heard an extremely loud roar coming from the center of the island.
'Well, the objective is pretty obvious.'
After making sure that we were prepared, we all immediately dived into the water, swimming towards the island, as high tide was coming anyways, and the sandbars would soon disappear under the water.
But then, I felt multiple presences in the water, coming straight towards our group.
'Well, shit.'
