I didn't know what to feel anymore; I felt so disappointed and angry with Matthew for showing up early; I was wondering why it had to be today that Matt would come and talk about the past.
I will try my best to forget everything while working for Tyler because I didn't want Anika to know I hated her dad, yet the moment Matthew reminded me of what Ty did to me, I couldn't stop remembering the past.
I don't want to remember the blank expression on Ty's face when I came to his penthouse that night; I got cake on my hands, and I was wearing a beautiful smile feeling so excited to surprise him, which is I stopped eating cake from that moment on. I was the one who was surprised.
Every time I pass by a cafe, pastry store, or bakery, I will never look at the cake on the display racks since I remember that horrible night. Tyler hugged Emily while Anika was sleeping on his bed, and that scene haunted me for years.
