Desmond Woods and his friends, dedicated fans of the popular novel Crown of Glory, are thrust into a world of mystery and danger when they meet the novel’s reclusive author, known only by his pen name, Lazy_Nerd. What begins as an ordinary fan meet-up quickly turns dark as Lazy_Nerd reveals a chilling secret: his fictional world will cross into reality in ten days.
Through a powerful ritual, an ancient group has transformed Crown of Glory from mere words on a page into a portal. Now, characters from the story—heroes, monsters, and villains alike—would be able to slip between worlds. The problem? If these characters escape unchecked, they could wreak havoc on a reality unprepared for their power and chaos. Lazy_Nerd warns that he is now the "anchor" to this gateway, unable to enter his own world without trapping himself and anyone else who dares follow.
Desmond, the skeptical but loyal Lizzie, and the curious twin brothers Laurence and Lucas must make a choice. Tasked with crossing into Crown of Glory to stop its villainous forces from escaping, they’re given only an hour to decide. Each of them wrestles with fear, doubt, and hidden struggles, but they understand that their decision will decide the fate of both worlds.
