"You better have brought me out here for something really good. You know I'm not thrilled about getting called out on a weekday even if cocktails are involved." Rose stood up from her seat as a sharp older woman approached.
"This place doesn't exactly look like it's up to my taste but I guess it'll do." She offered Rose a quick handshake before taking her seat. The place was rather crowded despite how early in the evening it still was.
"Yes, it is actually something really important I think that you'll be interested in, Jancie." Rose confirmed. She wanted to get their drinks order though before digging into the details.
Rose met Jancie while doing internship work at one of the few places her father didn't have a hand on. A shrewd older woman who did things by her own playbook and would never reject an offer for assistance. Anyone who needed help just had to be willing to pay whatever her fee for the day was.
