Anabel gratefully took the bottle of blood Oliver offered her and turned it to her head, drinking more than half of it before releasing a sigh of relief when the pain subsided as her wounds began to heal a lot faster.
"She took me by surprise." Anabel found comfort in Oliver's arms, resting her head against his broad chest as she continued. "When she appeared before me, she was disguised as Oliver."
"For a moment I thought she was really you." Her red eyes found Oliver's silver ones. "Until I heard your voice in the distance."
"I tried fighting her," Anabel went on to say. "But she's always been a lot stronger than me, I never stood a chance." She took another drink of the blood. "She tied me up and took my appearance before leaving me with some man hidden in a masquerade mask."
"A man?" Oliver inquired.
Anabel nodded in confirmation, "Yes, I'm sure of it, he smelled nothing like a creature."
