"Then let's get out of here. Hold my hand," Raven instructed Adriana who listened.
Teleportation magic is a type of magic that cannot be used by everyone. To learn this type of skill it requires a huge amount of mana and practice. Since Raven is a genius and his mana seems unlimited he has no problem opening the teleport channel.
However, that doesn't mean it doesn't tire him out. His body will feel tired due to the amount of mana used. But anything for her sister he was willing to do it.
Since Raven is determined to give back what she had given to him. He still remembers evidently that he almost died due to his own carelessness and it was Adriana who woke him up. She saved him. Now because of that only, his dear sister was suffering so much.
The broken mana flowing in her is slowly killing her. To add to her present condition, having a high-ranking spirit with her all the time is draining her energy with each passing day.
At first, he suggested Adriana to destroy her contract with Hel. But Adriana denied him right away, saying that Hel is her most valuable weapon and she can not afford to lose him.
Snapping back to reality he realized that Adriana has already held his hand.
Raven instructed her to shut her eyes. Even if it was just for a split second it can make her lightweight in her current condition.
Once Adriana opened her eyes, she was back in her room in the Helene Mansion. Her legs felt weak and she was going to fall down which caught the attention of Raven who supported her before she could fall.
"Sorry", Adriana said.
Apologizing to the young man who did not want her apology. He was helping her because he needed to. He led her to the nearest chair and helped her sat down in case she was feeling dizzy again.
Not a single minute had passed and Adriana started to ask the question that was punching inside her head, "Raven, do you have any report on the whereabouts of the heirloom?"
For a while, Adriana was feeling uneasy about it since time is limited. Raven lowered his head and shook it. As time pressure is intense his team has been going on for at least two weeks now. But still no findings of it.
As expected Vayne Belladonna wouldn't have hide it in an easy spot for them to find. To make it worse a single clue was only given. All it said was home.
Home. What a word for Vayne Belladonna to write. Adriana thought about it hard and first thought of the old mansion of the Belladonna family. Though it is now a historical place and barely anyone is there.
A hidden underground basement is possible which is why she had asked Raven and his team to dig only to find nothing.
The word home might have confused the missing Issac as well. The word home is such a simple word yet puzzling to the two children.
Unless the family head, Vayne Belladonna was pertaining to the current family mansion. But that would make it too easy for them to find it. Just to be sure Adriana had instructed Raven to check for any secret places around the area of the family mansion.
"It may not be included in the blueprint. I think the one who finds the heirloom must keep the secret until their death," thought Adriana which Raven agreed.
"Then I shall look into it now," said Raven who was ready to leave not until Adriana stopped him. She held his hand and smiled but her eyes did not look that way. "What's wrong?"
"I feel like I'm forcing you to become the family head," said Adriana who only recently felt guilty about this.
If they were to compare each other. They are fairly alike. They don't express their feelings well and only wished each other the best.
All the more Adriana told Raven that he must become the next family head since she did not want that position. And she cannot afford to give Issac the position.
Raven knew her plans for him which he did not disagree with. Of course, at first, he doubted himself whether he could fill this position since Adriana would be a better fit. But hearing the wishes of his sister he could not disagree.
"It's alright," assured Raven who placed a hand over her hand. "I've long decided to become the family head. As you said the current Belladonna family is nothing but corrupt. We can keep our evil values but at the same time do evil for the good."
"Raven…"
"Sister, I've promised you and I won't break it. The only reason why I exist in this world is because of you. I've come to pay you back," Raven smiled at her trying to assure her that he is doing this for his own good.
"You've grown. I'm quite proud of you."
Her gentle warm words spread across his chest. As much as possible he wants Adriana to compliment him more. Call him mature, reliable, intelligent, and so on.
"Of course, you were the one who taught me."
Adriana thought one day if Raven were to fall in love with someone. That person must treasure and guide him well. It doesn't matter what the status of the person is as long as he loved him dearly. That is what all matters.
Adriana couldn't wait to see it one day. He was nearly the age of marriage. Raven is young and handsome. It just so that rumors about their family makes their reputation worse.
"Go now, but before that be careful of Madam Jocelyn," Adriana warned Raven who nodded his head though he knew about that.
"Don't worry about me and get some rest. As for your husband don't expect me to help you," Raven points his finger towards the door and before the door fully opened Raven had disappeared already.
The platinum blond stormed into the room with fierce looking eyes. His mouth was smiling but his eyes were sparking with anger. The more this man kept his smile. Adriana awkwardly smiled back at him.
Adriana then realized that this man was angry about something. And she knew what it was about.
"My dear wife, care to explain something?"
At that moment Adriana wished to summon Yashiro who probably won't come out until she was scolded by her husband.
