"The time has come," spoke Raven as lightning flashed across the sky. He stood by the window watching the clouds pour rain.
Today the skies looked darker than usual and the sun can be barely seen anywhere. It was late afternoon yet it seemed like it was night.
"Soon, the crown will be ours. The pain and suffering we have been going through all these years will come to an end, soon." Raven clenched his fist and smiled deviously while looking into the eyes of his reflection from the window.
Raven turned his back looking at his closest friends and his most loyal servants. Their eyes were burning with passion as they knew about their situation. They want to end their suffering too.
'Finally, there is something he could do to help his sister'. This so far would be his greatest accomplishment as Adriana's younger brother. After this, his sister won't suffer anymore.
'It is impossible to suffer without making someone pay for it, every complaint contains revenge.'
Raven grabbed his coat and alongside his closest friends they made their way to the underground passage.. He would be lying if he said he was not afraid. He was acting strong but his legs couldn't help but tremble.
Raven was afraid about Issac who had returned, and this feeling was nerving him out from the past few days. But there were times in between these days where he was missing, trying to find the heirloom.
They both had the same motives and it was to find the heirloom. The fight for the throne. And the fight for his sister.
As Raven arrived by the entrance of the secret underground passage his mouth twitched seeing his soldiers on the ground. The sound of the sword being pulled out of the body made Lincoln's stomach churn.
As Lincoln was not a trained knight he isn't used to seeing and smelling huge amounts of spilled blood. His twin brother Levious told him to leave them but Lincoln insisted on joining them. This was a battle he couldn't miss at any chance.
"So you were waiting for this day?" Grinned Raven who pulled his sword out.
Another black hair man stood and whiffed his sword to avoid the blades getting stained in crimson. His red eyes moved down to Raven not showing the slightest expression. His red eyes were calm yet deadly.
"You were too slow," spoke the man who took a step forward only to be stopped by a flash of lightning.
Issac looked back at Raven only to see his deep red eyes has turned into blazing gold fire. 'Interesting' was the only thing he could say. His hair stood on end and the feeling of excitement rushed into his blood. It had been a while since he felt something so powerful.
To think that there was always someone as powerful as him living in the same mansion as him. And it was his little brother. To add to this, the way Raven managed to conceal this sprite must mean his mana had improved tenfold.
"Interesting," chuckled Raven as a black mist surrounded the air and just beside him appeared Lucifer.
"Both of you. I have a mission to give you," Raven glanced at Lincoln and Levious. And smiled at them as if it will be the last time. "While I fight with him here. You'll have to enter the passage and get the heirloom. You will not leave the passage until this fight is over."
"You…" Levious was stunned by his action but he couldn't interfere with his orders. "Alright."
"Oh, also," Raven stopped the two and continued, "If I don't manage to kill this man. Don't bother saving me escape with the heirloom and handover it over to my sister.
Levious's eyes grew wide and was about to grab his collar but Lincoln pulled him back. Levious couldn't allow his closest friend to die. He must win at all costs.
"I understand. But I don't agree with you dying," said Lincoln in an authoritative tone, which stunned the two guys. "I won't allow it. If you were to die. I'll hunt your soul until the depths of hell and make you regret it."
The usual calm and gentle Lincoln was nowhere to be seen. Which was a rare sight. It might even be the first time Raven had seen him act this way. This whole thing and warning warmed his heart.
"I'll try my best," Raven muttered, which they both did not hear. His eyes turned fierce and ordered, "Go, unless you are defying my orders."
The twins looked at Raven for the last time. This moment might be their last time being together but none hoped for it. As long as time continues to flow. They wanted to be together as buddies. Whether they were in heaven or hell.
The friendship that began in the academy was something the three cannot forget. After all, they were saved by each other.
Issac was irritated seeing the warm sensation surrounding the three and did not hesitate to charge toward Raven.
"Go!" Raven yelled at the two who ran towards the passage.
Luckily, Raven and his squad were prepared for this kind of situation. Once the twins entered the passageway it was immediately sealed off.
Issac saw it and tried breaking through but to his surprise, his magic was deflected back. This can't be possible. Stupefied, he glanced at Raven who was already smiling at him, seeing his bewildered expression which crossed his face for a second to be noticed clearly by Raven.
"You see brother, life is not easy," teased Raven who dodged the sword of Lucifer. In return, he flashed a lightning bolt toward Lucifer who reacted too slowly and screamed in pain.
"What did you do?" Issac demanded from Raven who raised his shoulder and pouted his lips.
"You think everything will go according to your plans?" Scoffed Raven which made Isaac's brow twitch.
Issac tried penetrating the magic barrier once more through his sword this time but failed. This type of magic barrier is a lot stronger than other barriers since it wasn't made using normal magic.
Then it clicked in his mind that a black magician like him can't break the barrier. The barrier is a special kind of barrier used with light magic. And light magic can't be used by just anyone. This must be the works of Luna Skydane or Astell Skydane.
"Then I'll have no choice but to kill you first." Issac's voice thundered.
