Chapter 1 - The Poison Beauty, Adriana Belladonna

Corruption, evil, and heartlessness. These three words are what people describe the Belladonna Family. No one knows what is going on in their heads, including the children of that family.

The Belladonna Family, just like its name, spikes of poison. A type of flower can lead to death once taken into the body.

The ringing of a bell continued not until a maid entered the dark bedroom. The walls were painted black, and the ground was filled with black marble. There was barely any light entering the room that anyone would become frightened to enter.

"Y-young miss you called?" Asked the maid while a sigh escaped from the lips of the young miss.

"Open the curtains, and what year is it?" the young miss asked as she got off the bed and wore a light-blue bathrobe that hung on the white couch.

"The year 3998 of Arabella," the maid lowered her head and went to open the curtains one by one.

"3998 of Arabella," the young miss repeated. "I've never seen you before."

"I-I'm new here."

"I see…" muttered Adriana as she used her hand to shield the sunlight off her eyes.

The sunlight penetrated through the windows, which gave the maid a better look at the young miss. Her eyes grew wide, seeing a human out of a painting. The maid was breathless that her mouth was slightly opened.

She had long black hair that reached her waist, red eyes like ruby, pale skin as if she had not been under the sun and a weak body-like figure.

The first daughter of the Belladonna Family, Adriana Belladonna. An extreme poison beauty.

"Go and inform the chef that I'll be dining in the dining room," Adriana ordered the maid, who rushed out of her room, still feeling thrilled from what she had just seen.

On the other hand, Adriana sighed for the second time and stood in front of the long mirror. She looked at herself expressionless but couldn't understand what was going on. How did she return back from time?

"This is outrageous," Adriana muttered to herself and touched her face. Red eyes like a ruby, long eyelashes, and pale skin. "I've not changed at all. Not even once."

Adriana recalled what happened to her before she returned back in time. It was in the year 4002 of Arabella that she was executed for a crime she did not do at all. This was a crime of someone else from the same family.

But she was a fool. Since this is a family, one must not trust each other. They were barely a family. And she trusted them.

The Belladonna Family is known to be one of the strongest, craziest, and most corrupted family out there. They basically did every crime and did not get penalized for it.

The reason is simple. It is because they are too powerful to be destroyed. But three other families could bring them down, but none dared to start a war with them.

Four families ruled the lands of Arabella. The Belladonna Family, the Skydane Family, the Forest Clan, and the Royal Family Of Arabella.

These four are called "The Great Four," but a twist wherein the Belladonna family is not appreciated at all.

"Now I think about it. It was father's and his fault," Adriana smiled at the mirror, and if anyone saw her smile, they could consider it their death. "Interesting. Since I've gone back in time. I'll kill them and become the next head of the family. Everything about this family is just wrong."

But before that, she needed to get stronger. Not like her foolish self that trusted everyone in this family. In the Belladonna Family. The word Family does not exist in their vocabulary.

However, there was only one she could call family.

Adriana turned her head, hearing a knock coming from the door. She saw a head pop out and saw a smile on his face.

"Sister, you're still not dressed?" asked Raven Belladonna. The stepbrother of Adriana and the only sibling she can trust until the end of her death.

As her memories were still clear. The only person who risked his own life for Adriana was Raven. This time Adriana won't allow anyone to hurt him. Not anymore.

It was because back then, she was not powerful enough. She was weak that everyone dared to touch her.

The cause of Adriana's execution was for killing the only daughter of the forest clan leader. But the truth was Adriana didn't kill her and did not have the intentions to do so.

"How can I get dressed when you're still here?" Adriana asked Raven, whose ears turned red.

"I'll stay outside," Raven shut the door and scolded himself for doing something stupid.

Adriana looked at herself for the last time, and the look in her eyes changed.

"Yes, this time, I'll do it my way."

Breakfast was served, and only two people were eating in the extravagant dining room. The dining room was filled with elegant music played by a group of musicians. Not only the door banged open.

Adriana and Raven kept eating their breakfast unbothered. But the little girl who destroyed their peacefulness screamed out loud.

Margaret Belladonna another step-sibling of the two. If anyone can describe an annoying brat, who has no sense of respect at all. It all points to Margaret.

"Raven! Did you kill my flower again?" Margaret screamed from the top of her lungs that a glass cup had shattered into pieces.

"What a way to start the morning, Margaret," Raven lifted his fork and stuck his tongue out.

"Answer me, you stupid guy!" Margaret demanded as she stomped her foot like a child.

"Why do I need to answer you when I've done nothing wrong? Go ask Rain. I have nothing to do with this," Raven rolled his eyes and motioned her to leave.

"RAVEN! I will kill you. Let's go to the arena and fight," Margaret pulled a knife under her skirt while Raven smirked as if he was ready to throw a fist.

"You can try, but you'll never defeat me."

But before they could. They heard the clanking of glasses that belonged to Adriana. She glanced at Raven, who flinched and lowered his head. Then looked at Margaret, whose body began trembling.

"Margaret, I warned you last time. If you continue to ruin my breakfast. I will not let you go," Adriana wiped her mouth with a piece of white cloth. She stood up, walking towards Margaret.

The servants around lowered their heads as they knew what was about to happen. Some shut their eyes, not wanting to witness blood flying all over the room. While some were used to it that they didn't care at all.

"A-Adriana… I-I'm sorry. I won't do it again. So please let me go for now," Margaret begged to the point tears escaped from the tip of her eyes.

"Margaret, you forgot your own position. I may be a fool. But not this time," Adriana flashed a smile that sent chills behind her back.

This wasn't the Adriana she knew. The usual Adriana would never fake a smile. It was a complete person. As if the title poison beauty came into action.

Anyone knew in the family that if they were to break a promise from Adriana. They will be punished.

"Just now, you underestimated me," said Adriana as she grabbed a knife on the table and traced her finger on the blade's dull side.

"A-Adriana, please don't," begged Margaret as she crawled to the corner of the room.

"What do you mean? I'm not going to kill. I'm just going to leave you a... present," Adriana said in a mocking tone. And she looked as if she was entertained.

"Sister, you better not spare her life," commented Raven, who continued eating his breakfast.

"You know I have to. Since the test is coming soon. And I don't want to remove your fun that day."

"If you say so. I will not argue," Raven nodded and drank a cup of tea before he stood up.

"Now, how should I punish you?" Adriana asked Margaret, who shook her head, pleading for her own life.

This may not look like it, but. The current top to be the heir in the Belladonna family is this poison beauty, Adriana Belladonna.
