To act evil is an act of kindness. Many people wondered why the Belladonna Family was one of the rulers of Arabella. The answer is simple. They were too powerful to be restrained.
Their corruption flowed in the family that each family member didn't have the heart of a human but a devil.
Especially the first son of the Belladonna Family, Issac Belladonna. A war hero who slew anyone, including his own ally.
Armor was always stained with dried blood as he marched back to the mansion. His red eyes flowed like blood and never failed to scare anyone.
The doors of the dining room opened once more. The clanking of his armor squealed, which annoyed the ears of Raven.
Issac stopped walking when his red eyes met another pair of red eyes. Adriana stared at him, more of observing him. As she swept her hands together after punishing Margaret.
"You're back?" Adriana asked Issac, who stood silent. His eyes shifted, looking at the beaten-down Margaret, who barely could say another word. "You see, Margaret broke a promise. Of course, it's normal to punish those who break one."
Anyone will be afraid to see Margaret's condition right now. Her nose was crooked at the same time blood was flowing out, her mouth wide open with bubbles going out, and her eyes rolled all the way up, only seeing white. But she wasn't dead. Just unconscious.
This is normal in the Belladonna family. It is one crazy family that others do not understand why they live that way.
Issac sat down and signaled a servant to set his plate. It has been a year since he last came back to the mansion. And nothing changed in the estate except the fact that Adriana was a bit different. The aura she omitted was much more mature.
It did not bother him because he did not care at all. All he wanted to do was to shed her blood. Yes, Adriana's blood. The sweet-tasting blood that he wished to devour for himself.
Adriana was special. Her blood is extraordinary that it contains poison. No one would want it, but a maniac like Issac wants it for his own reasons.
Raven crouched and laughed at the beaten-up Margaret, "Sister, you did a great job. But next time I'll do it for you. Your delicate hands don't deserve to be bruised."
"Raven, I told you before. I'll handle things on my own," Adriana patted his head, and he smiled at her.
"But still. Sister is beautiful. You don't deserve to dirty your hands."
"That is impossible. You know that, Raven."
Being in the Belladonna family meant everyone was your enemy. That included your own family members.
The poor little Margaret had a mother. But that mother of hers did not love or care what happened to her. Her mother was rather cruel, and to make things worse. She always had a smile on her face.
"Bring her away," Raven ordered the servants, who listened and brought Margaret back to her own room. He laughed seeing Margaret being dragged, "Heh, good for her. She'll be stuck in bed for at least days. And good for me since I don't need to hear her screams and yells."
Adriana looked at Issac for the last time and couldn't help but feel angered by him. The reason why she died in her past life. It was because of that man.
Asides from successfully inheriting the family. Adriana will find a way to dispose of him out of this family.
"I wished you never came back," muttered Adriana, but Issac heard it and smirked at her.
"But your wish never comes true, my sweet sister," Issac rested his arms on the table and his chin under his palm.
"Who knows? Not even you know," Adriana coldly told him, which made his heart skip a beat. A fierce lioness. One of its kind.
As Adriana and Raven were about to leave the dining room. Issac said, "Bryfiel."
This made Adriana stop walking, but she did not look at him. Her eyes were smiling, but her mouth wasn't. Since she already knew what was going to happen soon.
"Sister?" Raven called as he followed from behind when Adriana continued walking.
"Raven, you do know you're the only one in this family I can trust."
"Yes, I do know that. Ever since I was younger. You're the only one I wanted," Raven placed his arms behind his back.
"Because you are hot-headed. I fret that you'll charge into that guy one day," said Adriana.
"I'm not that weak, you know. If I beat him up. Won't that prove that I'm stronger than him? Plus, aren't you stronger than him?" Raven asked Adriana, who chucked at him.
"Don't be silly, Raven. Even if you can beat him down. He still is father's favorite."
"It's called bias since you're stronger than him."
"How do you know I'm stronger than him?" asked Adriana, curious on why Raven thinks so. Since she hasn't told anyone what she was doing.
"Aren't you going to make a contract with the grim reaper?"
Adriana paused and looked at Raven. He felt his spine creeping up, and he gulped, knowing he had just said something wrong.
"How do you know?" Her voice grumbled in a low tone.
"I-I…"
"You were eavesdropping in my room?" Adriana turned her back, facing Raven, who could not raise his head. "Answer me, Raven."
"I-I'm sorry, sister. I-I didn't mean," apologized Raven and kept his head low.
In this house, Raven wasn't scared of anyone except for two people. One Is the current head of the family, which is the father. The other was Adriana, who he adores so much.
Adriana sighed out loud and patted his head. "Don't worry about it. Make sure to keep your mouth shut about this matter. Since I trust you."
His eyes immediately sparked hearing those words from Adriana. He raised his head and nodded to them.
"I swear under my name that I will never tell anyone else," pledged Raven.
"Now, we must hurry. We should not keep the ladies waiting."
"Ah, those damn ugly ladies except for your mother."
