'That... that was a perfect vision of hell.'
She thought as she rubbed her head and tried to remember any specifics.
'Corpses. Death. Eyes and a big black flower.'
She laid down in the corner while holding her head.
'Ughh. No matter how much I try to play it off it's still stuck clearly in my head like a polaroid covered in glue.'
She sighed and tried to calm herself down.
'I mean what nightmare? Whassat?'
Looking at the scientists, she noticed nothing out of the ordinary.
The people working on the flower were all the same so she hadn't been out for long.
'I really should just stop sleeping. I can't handle the stress right now.'
She stood up and stretched her nonexistent muscles.
'The worst part is that I can't escape stress even after death. Aren't people supposed to go to heaven or something?'
She stopped stretching as she slowly looked forwards.
'Old men doing some suspicious ritual to a weird magic flower. Pentagrams and hexagrams floating in the air...'
Her face was stiff and unmoving as ever and yet in her mind:
'What the actual sh*t. Is this Hell? But I saved the lives of my friends! Twice!'
Pouting and punching the wall, (The pouting also happened in her head) she was happy that she could get that dream out of her head for now.
'It's better to focus on something else now.'
She made her way to a group of scientists and listened in.
She could understand bits and pieces.
All in all, she did better than last time.
'I guess sleeping really does help... I am never sleeping again.'
Sighing, she made her way back to the flower room.
'... Am I delaying the inevitable?'
She looked closely at the flower while walking through the pentagrams and hexagrams that were floating in the air.
Studying it closely, she found that it was slowly turning grey.
She felt unsettled.
'I can feel how it is rotting from the inside out.'
Sitting next to the flower floating on the pedestal, she started thinking.
'I don't think I can 'survive' no matter what. Right now the scientists here are just pouring something into the flower and hoping it will fix itself. That's how I understood their talk at least. They are basing this all on luck.'
She laid down flat on her back.
'Is death the only way for me?'
'I either get completely consumed by the flower or I wait until my soul, that is in the flower, rots away.'
'...God. I am going through so many different emotions today that I almost feel a little bipolar.'
'Heh.'
'...'
She turned to her side and got into a fetal position.
'This isn't fair.'
...
Sometime later.
The scientists had been changed out a few times now.
She was still lying next to the pillar with the floating flower.
She had finally, actually, calmed down.
Sighing out loud, she got up and sat against the pillar.
'So I either take my own life or slowly rot.'
'...'
'What would hurt more? Being consumed or slowly rotting away from the inside? You know, I'll take the former.'
Standing up next to the flower, she saw the golden trail still leading her towards it.
'I guess I never had a choice. Looks like there really is only one option left after death.'
The flower was slowly turning grey, only the tips of the petals remained black.
She felt like if she touched it now, it would crumble to dust before consuming her.
As she looked at the flower, that golden trail still sat in front of her face, as if mocking her.
'Tch. I always liked silver more. Stupid piss trail.'
Waving the gold away to the sides, she reached her hand out to the flower.
She felt something pulling her closer. Almost inviting her in.
She closed her eyes.
'Goodbye, afterlife.'
Her entire body was then absorbed by the flower.
...
An unknown amount of time in the future.
There she was.
Floating in the neverending void.
Her eyes were heavy, she thought she was just a step away from her eternal slumber.
It was then that she had a weird feeling.
Like the tingling in your stomach that you feel as you fall from a very tall height.
Frowning, she opened her eyes slightly only to see her hair being blown around all in front of her.
'Man I'm dead. Let me chill.'
Turning to the side, she saw something she was not expecting.
She was actually falling.
A pure, pitch-black globe ran far into the distance.
It seemed like an actual planet.
And on that planet, there were hundreds, thousands, millions of small dots moving around.
They all seemed to be fighting.
Before she could react, she had already landed on the ground with a boom.
As the dust settled, one could see that her body was just fine.
She still laid there, on the ground. Lying sideways while lightly hugging her legs.
In all actuality, she had been trying to sleep just moments before.
"God damn, can't a lady sleep when she wants to!?"
She yelled out as she punched the floor which seemed to be unbreakable. Yes, she yelled.
Sitting up sideways, her hair blocked a large amount of her face.
Blowing it to the side, she looked around.
'Where the hell is this place?'
