Chapter 39 - Chapter 38 - You Can't Kill A Turtle In It's Shell

"Fuck Fuck Fuck!"

A group of five players consisting of three women and two men tore through the forest at full speed. Their armours and weapons were badly damaged and multiple injuries and bruises were all over their bodies.

Chasing behind them was the ferocious White Tiger King... A creature with it's strength exceeding 60%! It's massive strength was sufficient to fell any tree or obstacle on it's charge!

Roar!

"Cast Speed! Cast Speed! Lily, cast speed will ya!" A woman with grey hair spoke as she gracefully spun to face the monster with an arrow nocked in her bow. Although she was facing the White Tiger King, she was surprisingly moved in the opposite direction without moving her legs.

The shortest female in the group, which was a blonde in white gritted her teeth as she lifted up her hands and closed her eyes. After a second, a bright purple energy spread out from her and engulfed the party.

"Good job!" A male player with A build as tall and sturdy as a titan praised the efficiency of the short female in casting spells as his sprinting speed increased by two folds.

The gray haired woman grinned as she fired an arrow at the White Striped Tiger, the speed and power of the arrow caused slight ripples as it tore through the wind.

As expected, the arrow bounced off upon contact. The scene was akin to a retard trying to chase off a criminal with a stuffed toy- Absolute stupidity.

"What are you doing-!" Lily was about to reprimand her colleague only to find a bright red magic circle spinning behind her.

"Flames' Blessed Arrow - Explode!"

The arrow which had bounced off the White Tiger King's hide suddenly exploded in a sea of dazzling gold flames. The White Tiger King was forced to end it's charge as the flames dealt internal damage and was able to sap a huge amount of health per second.

The grey haired woman who had a bead of sweat at her temples frowned in fatigue, she had used almost all her mind power to unleash the earlier strike. She hoped they could get to a settlement soon before she is forced to use her hidden ability in front of her team.

"What is the nearest welcoming settlement around here?" A tall slender male with a pair of glowing green eyes and scales all over his skin spoke up with a frown on his face as the thick scaled tail behind him wriggled slightly.

"Greyston, the nearest and most welcoming to your species is right above us... while the unwelcoming is to our right. The steel dragon temple or the floating city of ancients." A female with short black hair spoke out with a soft gleam in her dark eyes. She looked eastern, and had a red sword in it's sheath strapped to her waist.

"We'll go to the Steel Dragon Temple, I know Syria will welcome a half-blood like me... those magical fanatics nearly razed me as soon as I transformed into my true form." Greyston said before looking behind himself to the White Tiger King, "Wang Song... thank you."

Wang Song's eyes gleamed as she turned to look into Greyston's eyes... it was true gratitude. With a bright smile on her face she nodded.

Greyston sighed as he spread out his palm, revealing a flat pink crystal with a red core visible within it. With a cold gleam in his eyes he let his energy flow into the crystal.

The White Tiger King who had leaped out of the flames with it's fur darkened by the flames uttered a ferocious roar as it leapt towards the archer.

"Come on!" The largest in the party mimicked the gray haired woman and turned to face the monster, with a fierce roar his lifted sword came cleaving down with the ability to split seas and cleave mountains.

Heaven's Wrath - I'll Destroy Anything Under The Heavens!

----

The slender and fair hand belonging to a tall blue haired woman was beating against the large conference table with each beat louder and faster than the last.

Kneeling before her was a short and fat man with his hands behind his back. He had a cold aura slowly emanating from him.

"Tell me why isn't that kid's body dragged into the infirmary as we speak? A bought you a mutant monster strong enough to put down a 3 Star deviant for a 2 Star mutant at the budding stage and you're telling me he killed it?" The female sitting before the table smashed her fist against the table, causing it to shatter into countless splinters under her immense strength. "Ever since the rise of the first anomaly Dark Overlord, we the top deviants faced a threat like never before. A mutant able to flatten a city with a simple sigh, a mutant able to break the laws of gravity, a mutant able to control even the greatest being to do it's bidding... our first telepathic anomaly.

We were scared, frightened and terrified at his powers. He was an Alpha Grade Threat and still lives to this day. Nuclear war heads were redirected, task teams plus under his control... a true villain.

Imagine if another was to rise like him? One with equal or not even surpassing abilities? One with a vast and boundless future? Every deviant and human would suffer.

I gave you the power to curtail this threat, a ferocious blue ape and a team of professional Mutant Hunters... and you tell me the Mutant Hunters are not ready and my monkey was killed?"

The man kneeling on the ground lifted his head to stare at the woman sitting before him. He had a frown on his face and a ferocious glint in his eyes.

"Madam Xylion, the power of the Xygots would not be enough to eliminate this so called future threat. We have to play our cards right..." The frown on the face of the man turned into a broad grin, "Now is not the time to hunt down a budding talent."

"When? Tell me when is the right time if you want to live?!" Xylion said as she rose up from her seat with her entire being radiating the aura of a murderer.

"You can't kill a turtle in it's shell." The fat man said with a cold grin as he glared into the eyes of the woman before him.

Can't kill a turtle in shell... can't kill a turtle in shell...

Xylion had a cold gleam in her eyes as she lowered her head. The truth was painful, but it was still the truth.

You can't kill a mutant under the protection of a higher power... you can't kill a turtle in it's shell.
