Inside a bullet ridden car, a girl with wavy gold hair struggled to hold on to the disk-like steering wheel. Holding her bleeding side with her small hand, and holding the crescent steering wheel with the other, she was unable to wipe off the fresh blood on the corner of her lips.
She was Vedora, a space deviant and the only space mutant who had managed to reach a power rating of 3 Stars.
She had been kept as an experimental test subject for years, her blood was used to create some deadly drugs called Vedoron which has the frightening ability to increase the power rating of a mutant or deviant by a half a star.
If the weapons were used as what she was told which was 'for the good of humanity,' She would have been partially okay with it, but those freakish scientists were planning to use her to create an army of 4-5 Star Deviants!
They wanted to drain and revitalise her for use as an eternal source of limitless deviant energy. That was unthinkable!
After plotting for months, she was finally able to escape from that hellish place only to be chased by a team of deviants.
She had tried to fight, but sustained heavy injuries in the process. Seeing hope was bleak, she stole one of their cars and sped away.
The fight spread out into the deserted street overrun by variants which was a plan Vedora had orchestrated at the last minute in order to escape. The plan was fairly simple...
She was going to use her space powers to charge up the variants around her who would undoubtedly attack the nearest deviants during the chase giving her the chance to flee within all the chaos.
"Code Vedora, return peacefully to base now or be prepared to face dire consequences!"
Hearing the mechanical male voice from a red circular drone hovering in the air while flashing it's lights down on the damaged car, Vedora sneered in her heart, then, took a sharp turn, driving into a dark street.
'I've gotta get to a mutant base... before those stupid deviants break out of the variant trap...'

After putting on the glasses and muttering 'activate', Felix saw his view change from his boring normal and rowdy bedroom to a outside strange dome-like garden.

'Cheat soul? Things are getting more... and more strange to me...' Felix thought as he looked over to Jacob who was busying himself with god knows what, his fingers dancing crazily in the air like a spectre. 'Maybe that's how the gaming interface is? Invisible to others, but visible to only the user.'
While Felix was still immersed in his thoughts, the digital beep in his head jolted him back into virtual reality.
"The game would begin in one hour, but there's trouble. Our opposition also formed a team... Three super-strength deviants, a super-speed deviant, and a shape-shift deviant." Jacob began his explanation on the enemy with a dark expression on his face, "Three of them are at 2 Stars and two are at 1 Star. These guys aren't noobs, I don't think we can win this one..."
Seeing Jacob's look of despair, Felix frowned. "So what if they were higher in quantity and are fairly strong? We're not pushovers, we can handle a bunch of wannabe superheroes."
Jacob's eyes flashed as he heard that. Although this wasn't reality, this was most likely the next best thing. Deviants remain as super heroes... Mutants remain as super villains...
Although they might be powerful... we are stronger and genetically more advanced than them!
[Group Battle Begins In 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...]
Felix frown as the scene changed again. This time, he appeared on a stage with rows of chairs spiralled around him. Besides him was Jacob, and before him were five unfamiliar people.
3 males and 2 females... One of them had a bird's nest for hair... the other had a pale mango on his neck for a head... the two females were under-average beauties... the last male was handsome, but that arrogant look.... Definitely Deviants.
[Weapon Selection Mode...]
[Customise?] [Random?]
Felix didn't want to end up getting a stoic war hammer as a weapon, so he left that option out and selected customise. As the gray screen floated to the side another screen appeared before him.
[Projectile?] [Area?] [Touch?]
Felix selected projectile, and after sometime the next screen popped up.
[Random Projectile Weapon...]
'Great...' Felix taught with a wry smile as he dug his hands into his pockets. He tried to avert random to make the game as... unfair as possible, but it seems the heavens want a fair fight.
[Weapon Found - Recoiless Flash Energy Gun!]
As the screen appeared, a blue gun with various intricate designs on it materialised in thin air right before Felix. A glyphic 'X' was engraved in red on the side of the gun.
Felix grabbed the gun from mid-air, feeling the guns exquisitely smooth and cool surface, Felix smirked in satisfaction. Using his

Felix just skimmed through the words before willing all the screens to close immediately. In his heart... the upcoming fight was more interesting...
"So Jacob, what's the plan?" Felix smirked as he stared at Jacob who responded with a smug expression on his face.
"As always... kick arse and don't get your arse kicked." Jacob grinned as he finally finished with his weapon, a huge hammer and shield appearing before him.
Seeing the hammer and shield which was twice his size being waved around by Jacob like it was nothing, Felix shuddered imagining what would it be like if they fought all out in the past.
'I'm stronger now, so I don't have to worry about such trivial things... but, the past is a bit scary though.'
[Begin!]
Seeing the screen appearing before him, Felix's eyes flashed in a brilliant light.
There's always time to think... after kicking the enemies' butt!
