The widespread of the sudden emergence of the legendary blacksmith shook the beginner village to the core. Every Nagam rushed to the small obscure shop.
"If you want to buy weapons from my shop. You need to follow the rules and regulations." A haughty voice shouted from the shop.
A crowd of people gather outside the small shop, trying to force their way in. But the small shop was just too small for the population.
"What are these damn rules?" A young man with big round eyes at the center of his forehead shouted.
"Who knows. As long as I get my hand on uncommon grade weapons. I can rank up my level quickly."
"You're right. The date of the tournament is getting closer than I imagined."
The crowd began to murmur, waiting for their turn to enter the small shop.
Inside the small shop, Emma sat leisurely at the corner of the shop and looked at the five people in front of him nonchalantly.
"You've one more minute before I ask you to leave."
What!
The five were flabbergasted. What sort of business owner is this? They frown but swallow their anger and peruse the weapon rack quickly.
"These are common rank weapons. Though they are cheaper, I didn't come here for a common grade weapon." A young lady said with a frown.
"So you just realized this."
The young lady saw the nonchalant attitude of Emma and was pissed but she remembered the rumor. 'If not for your high quality weapon. I won't mind teaching a lesson.'
"How can I get an uncommon grade weapon?" She said with a tight lips.
"I don't need gold. You must exchange with something of the same value."
"Tell me?"
"I need books on inscription and array formation. Also, rare metals. Not that rare per say. But not the commonly seen metal…." Emma paused.
"But if you could give me a rare metal. I could give you a rank 2 or 3 uncommon grade weapon."
What!
Everyone in the room was astounded. Is this for real? The young lady's eyes brightened.
"Are you telling the truth?" She asked quickly.
Rank 3 weapon are difficult to find even if you have the money to buy them. Not to talk of rare grade weapons. Rare grade weapons can only be found in the powerful city.
"Do you think I'll sit down here wasting my time joking?" Emma sarcastically.
"Of course, you won't." The lady shook her head not minding Emma's sarcastic comment.
"Off you go, then. Perhaps you have the rare metal or relative books I mention."
The young lady smiled brightly and fished out an ore from her inventory.
"What about this?" She asked, showing her shiny bright teeth.
Swiss!
Emma took the ore from the young lady's hand. The ore was a little bigger than an adult human fist. He scrutinized the ore for a moment without saying a word.
'Cargonite!!' Emma exclaimed in his mind.
>>Your luck is quite good.
'Hahaha.' He laughed hysterically in his mind, grinning foolishly under his helmet.
The young lady waited for Emma to talk but the words failed to come from Emma's mouth. After waiting for what looks like forever. The lady couldn't wait anymore.
"Is the ore not enough." She asked with a frown.
Hmm! Hmm!
Emma cleared his throat, recovering from fantasy land.
"This ore is good. But merely good." Emma said with a straight face.
>>What do you mean merely good. This freaking fucking good. You haven't seen this ore before. Have you?
'What do you know? This is a business strategy.'
>>Shameless.
"What do you mean?" The lady frowned. "Don't think I don't know the value of the ore. But because we're stuck in this forsaken beginning village. That's why I have gone to bigger city exchange for something valuable"
"I said the ore is good. But to get a rank 3 weapon with this is impossible." Emma asserted.
"Hmm. So, you're saying— "
"Yes. I will make you a rank 2 uncommon grade weapon. How does that sound?"
The lady opened her mouth but the word failed to come out. She only nodded like a pecking bird.
"Good!" Emma kept the ore inside his inventory immediately and looked at the other four in his shop.
"You can leave."
"What!" They exclaimed. "We haven't buy any weapons yet!?" They cried.
"Get out!" he waves his hand, chasing them out, not listening to their rambling. In the presence of Cargonite, what does measly gold mean to him.
"You can wait outside. After I'm done with her I may call you in. But tell those people outside my new rules."
He looked at the lady and said calmly. "What weapon do you want?"
"A whip."
"Wait for me?"
At the back of the shop, Emma took out his forging materials and also the Cargonite.
"Zeus, what are the properties of the Cargonite."
[[An incredibly dense and supposedly impenetrable metal. Extremely durable and can be mixed with other metals, increasing their endurance.]]
"Good. Good." Emma nodded his head. 'I will mix a tiny portion of Cargonite with the lady's weapon.'
Without further ado, Emma began to forge the weapon with full seriousness. He had never use Cargonite to forge a weapon before. This would be his first. And he didn't want to lose any portion, no matter how small it is.
The lady became restless, sitting in the quiet room for over an hour. She continued to stare at the small door leading to the backyard, tapping her foot gently, biting the corner of her lips.
Creak!
The door opened and Emma came out with his face full of sweat. In his hand was a long whip, glowing a bright yellow colour. The young lady stood on her foot and stared at the whip in Emma's hand.
Her face brightened. She can't wait to receive the weapon.
"How is it?" She asked while her gaze was fixed on the whip.
A radiant smile appeared on Emma's face. "Your luck is quite good. It is not every day that I forge this kind of weapon."
"En!" She creased his brow.
Emma didn't say any more words. He gave the whip to the lady. Receiving the whip, she held the whip with some care. She stared intently at the whip with an uncontrollable joy.
'It seems different.' She touched the whip and a slight warm caress her hand.
"That is no ordinary weapon. That is a rank 3 uncommon grade weapon. Bothering a rank 4 uncommon grade weapon." Emma said proudly.
Though he said it proudly, he was astonished by the grade of the weapon. 'What a fierce metal. If I can get my hand on more of the metal. I can start my design.'
"Rank what!" The lady exclaimed with her mouth aghast. Her heart was pounding.
"If you have more of that metal. Don't hesitate to bring it to me. I can even forge you a light armor of the same grade."
The lady couldn't believe what she was hearing. 'Rank 3 weapon. Rank 3 weapon.' She cried.
Her brain was fuzzy with ecstasy. She couldn't believe she would have the chance to lay her hand on a rank 3 uncommon grade weapon. After a couple of seconds, she recovered from her shock and looked at Emma with respect.
"Don't worry. I'll search for the same metal right away."
"Good." Emma nodded. "Take this."
"Why?"
"You shouldn't let people know you have a rank 3 weapon. Else your life would be in danger."
Understanding what Emma was trying to say. She collects the whip.
"This is—"
"Rank 1 uncommon grade weapon."
Ha!
She was dumbfounded and speechless.
"You can leave. Don't forget your promise. I will be waiting for you."
Inside the Golden Finger Chamber, a middle-aged woman was furious.
"What do you mean another black smith has appeared in the village." Her voice raised by an octave.
The lady in front of her coward in fear. She took a step back, trembling, sweat dripping from her forehead.
"Why are you just telling me now!?"
"I-I"
"Shut up!" The woman rubbed her temple and frown deeply.
"Send them the message."
