"I must congratulate you on that story." The Keeper called out from somewhere around Alex and me. I couldn't see where they were, but I knew that they were there.
"Hello, Keeper." Alex called out to the entity that had been controlling our lives for what felt like a year at the very least.
"Hello Alex, and might I say that you performed extremely well in that last tale. I loved it, and I am so glad that I decided to take so much time to prepare that adventure for you. I do hope that you liked it." I could hear the glee in The Keeper's voice.
"It had its perks." I grinned as I thought about how much easier my time in that life had been because of the modern technology. And, of course, the delicious food.
