***ALEX'S POV***
Well, my new story book parents didn't stay long. That was good. They mostly left because they needed to get ready for bed. In this story, it was currently summertime, and that meant that it didn't get dark until late. With this current time of the year, I was only going to be getting at most eight hours of being awake every day. I would then spend the other sixteen hours asleep.
No wonder I felt so tired and exhausted when I got up today. That was way too long for a person to sleep. For me or anyone. And whenever I slept that long, when I wasn't sick or injured, I always felt like I was some sort of reanimated corpse. I was stiff, groggy, and confused. And knowing that it was coming wouldn't do anything for me either. I was going to be like this until the curse broke, or until winter came and there were shorter days. For my sake, I hoped that it would be the curse breaking before then.
