The other two zombies immediately growled and leapt at him simultaneously. Ryver knocked the first one backwards while he evaded to the side, avoiding the last zombies' lunge, he slashed his axe at the back of its skull, fracturing it into multiple pieces.
The zombie that has been kicked backwards growled as it recovered its footing. Rushing forwards, it was immediately sent backwards by Ryver's axe.
Ryver withdrew his combat knives and went ahead to finish the three zombies he had taken care of with the axe.
While the axe was sharp, it sometimes only damaged their brains enough to incapacitate them, he does the final killing with his combat knives.
He had only just taken care of this five when the last five zombies came rushing at him. Ryver bent down immediately and circled back, making the zombies lose sight of him.
Raaaugh!
They snarled aimlessly at the air and stood where he was previously.
Bang!
The fire axe struck against the first zombie's skull sending it flying backwards.
Boom!
Ryver kicked at the second zombie, temporarily incapacitating it.
Whoosh!
He dodged the swipe of the next zombie, kicking the back of its legs as it knelt to the ground and driving his knife into its skull.
Tong!
His left hand released a sound similar to guitar strings as the blade in his palm flew forwards, piercing through the eyes of the fourth zombie and into its skull.
The last zombie took the opportunity to claw at Ryver's shoulder. Seeing this, Ryver fell to the side, closely dodging the swipe. His hand touched the ground and his waist twisted. With a bam sound, he kicked forcefully at the neck of the zombie, instantly fracturing the spinal cord.
His right leg kicked at the zombie's body and his own body rolled backwards in the process. The second zombie he had kicked backwards previously jumped at him.
But he had moved backwards already. The zombie stumbled to the ground. And Ryver wasted no time stomping the zombie's skull repeatedly until it was completely dead with its brain squashed to the ground like a watermelon.
Grabbing his knife, he stabbed his knife straight at the zombie who was still struggling to stand up, driving his blade into its fractured skull.
"It's been so long." Although this wasn't as satisfactory as when he killed people, there was this slight thrill he got from their death.
This place was finally free of zombies, at least this part of the second floor. Cleaning his blade and the axe with the corpse's clothes, he saw that one of them was a guard, Ryver flipped its body over and was disappointed. The guard only had a Taser Gun within its holster. Ryver threw it aside since it was useless to him but he grabbed the remote car key hanging from its waist.
He noticed his notification was blinking red in a specific pattern.
[Thirty-four new notifications.]
"Open Notifications." Ryver said, storing the car key in his pocket.
[You eliminated a zombie, 0.02 Evo points have been extracted]
[You eliminated a zombie, 0.02 Evo points have been extracted]
[You eliminated a zombie, 0.02 Evo points have been extracted] ...
[DecaKill (×2) 0.20 Evolution points extracted ] * New *
Ryver was about to dismiss the notifications when he spotted the last notification.
'DecaKill?' His sight lingered on the notification and it immediately expanded.
[DecaKill: Eliminating ten opponents of the same level within the span of five seconds produces massive amount of radiation for a short period of time, activate, extracting even more Evolution points from the kills.]
Ryver immediately started thinking. The first Decakill should have activated when he killed those zombies on the stairs and the second one should be now, he had eliminated the thirteen zombies within this part of the floor in a short period of time, activating the second Decakill.
"Clear notification and open status." Ryver immediately dismissed the notifications, eager to see his new status.

Upgrading to the next level seems to be more difficult than he had thought. He had killed more than thirty zombies, but the Evo points extracted were barely enough to increase his attribute by one point.
If he was finding it difficult to advance his stats, how would the others who had little to no training survival in this chaotic time?
Still, Ryver didn't care about that. He also didn't distribute the Evo points he had been given and would only use them during emergencies.
Moreover, he was hoping to make use of the newly found information the system had given him, the Decakill condition.
It seems the condition would only activate as long as his overall stat points doesn't exceed that of the zombies he killed.
Currently, Ryver has an overall power unit of 4, barely entering 5 and the same could be said for the zombies.
Ryver went to the edge of the second floor and peered through the glass as he gazed at the guard zombie.
"View target's stats."

Ryver was slightly surprised he could see the stats of the guard zombie. Its overall powerpoint is equal to his own. But this was the first time he was seeing something with an infinite vitality. He didn't know what to make of that yet.
The zombies on this part of the floor have all been cleared, giving Ryver a clean path that he could take to the garage. Since the ground floor is littered with lots of zombies, the garage should contain fewer zombies since not many people would think to move to the garage when the apocalypse started.
He removed the car key from his pocket as he headed to the garage. He stood before a large iron door, very slowly, he opened the door and peeked through the crack.
