Chapter 5 - The Harsh Reality

"The Fermentation Sect is known to be one of the best immortality cultivation sects in Fenglin Country, and also one of the hardest to get into.

It's remained like that ever since 699 years ago when the founder of the sect was the  'God of Cultivation.' "

"699 sounds like the prices that you'll see in market sales." Tao Baihe nonchalantly interrupts while her legs crossed to form a type of sitting position.

Her posture made her look like she owns the bed and everything. It's as if the other guy was just a guest in her expensive styled room.

Tian Ling sweatdrops, "I don't know what you're talking about. but we need to know what cultivation root is your specialty, we don't want you to turn out as good for nothing and useless."

"You, don't want me to be good for nothing but I don't. I like me just the way I am." The blueberry haired girl talked back with pride in her tone as she crossed her arms to her now flat her chest.

That's right...flat, it turns out many parts of her appearance gradually changed. That's what she gets for foolishly accepting the unknown gift.

She turned as flat as a chopping board and back to how she looked in real life- which is not much different to her appearance in the game.

They were currently in Tian Ling's room, Inside the said Fermentation Sect. All the furniture and designs surrounding it seems expensive.

Tian Ling let out a sigh of mix frustration at the girl's antics. "Fine, as long as you don't run away again..." He glared at the petite girl in front of him, who was now jumping up and down on the soft bed like a troublesome child.

The girl just couldn't help but feel safe and free from all the burdens in her life for once. No parents to rule over her, no classmates judging her every little move.

She felt like a caged bird who was finally set free.

Since the said blueberry haired girl didn't listen, Tian Ling repeated this time in demand. "I'm serious, don't run away. This world is dangerous than in where you used to live."

Tao Baihe paused a bit as she lowers her head down in dismay. 'That's right...I'm not in Earth anymore but in another world similar. What should I do? I can't even use my cultivating style in real life since i was only powerful in the game.'

All her hopes turned into frustration, doubts if she'll ever survive in a world full of real cultivators...

[Flashback: earlier]

Tian Ling was swiftly gliding up the long and wide stairs. With the unconscious girl in his hold as some of the people near them finally noticed their presence.

Whispering to themselves, for they never actually seen the Sect's top student gently  carrying a girl as if it were the most delicate thing in the world.

Heck, there were even rumours that their top student Tian Ling is gay. He never really showed affection to any girl, whenever he sees them approaching him he always disappears all of the sudden.

But the truth is he just doesn't bother in having any relationship. Which is why he gets mistaken for being gay in many people's eyes.

He was about to reach his destination but one of his 'fangirls' stopped him from doing so. "Tian Ling, who is that ugly woman in your arms?" It was more of a demand than a question really.

Long wavy platinum blonde hair, snow white skin and forest green eyes similar to a cat's eyes. Expensive traditional Chinese clothing with color schemes of jade green and pearl white. One word to describe her clothes all in all...Revealing.

Although she looks beautiful, her personality is trash. That's what they say; looks can be deceiving at times.

And that time is happening now.

The said blonde girl was currently in front the both of them, with arms on her hips as she sent the unconscious girl a side glare.

An irk mark appeared on Tian Ling's temple to indicate his mild annoyance. He was already tired of carrying the heavy girl in his arms, and now he has to deal with Chang Lei.

The girl almost everyone knows and hates.

Usually Tian Ling would find a reasonable way of speaking, but he was just too tired at the moment. "Move." Glaring at the blonde, his glare cold enough to send shivers down the spine.

In some occasions Tian Ling turns out as an outgoing and cheerful, sensible person even annoying at times. But it's different for now.

Chang Lei didn't listen one bit, only more determined to find out about the blueberry haired girl. "Hmp! I bet she's the 1st level of Divine Intervention and with the weakest immortal root!" With an insult ofcourse.

Tian Ling corrected the girl's statement. "There is no such thing as a weak immortal root but instead an incapable cultivator." He said in such seriousness.

The grey haired man is just that someone who is dedicated and takes things seriously if it's important.

His attention was so focus on the blonde, he didn't realize the girl in his arms going back to her consciousness.

Tao Baihe lets out a small grunt before opening her eyes lazily. She could see the man's blurry figure before it became clearer.

'What...who is that?' She asks herself for she was unclear on what was going on, and who is that handsome looking man.

"Your looks are not bad...but your grey hair makes you look like an old man, eight out of ten (8/10)" The blueberry haired girl bluntly said, making everyone's attention fully on her.

Tian Ling was astonished, after recovering the only thing he could make out was a. "What?"

Finally realising what she just did, Tao Baihe imidiatly covered her mouth to stop  talking. A bit embarrassed, she searches for a way out of this mess.

But her pink orbs met with Chang Lei's green ones. To say the blonde looked irritated at the bluenette is an understatement.

Not only that, all the onlookers judging stares were directed on her and no one else for the matter. They wore clothes different from the modern society but similar to the game she played.

So it made her think that maybe she was still in the game but thrown into a different server?!

Getting down, she posed to cast an immortal level technique. [Heaven's blessing: Conceal]

.

Nothing happened.

It was silent, no one dared to speak. They were feeling the so called 'second-hand embarrassment'.

Frozen in her spot, for she didn't know what else to do next...after a few moments of thinking.

She finally taught about it, risky but effective. 'It's the only way. I must do this right!'

'The only way is....'

Everyone was yet again speechless at the girl's actions. She imidiatly turned around and sprinted as fast as she can possibly go.

'To Run away!!!' Yelling inside her head while running with speed of light.
