Princess Eleanor smiled as she curled her lips up.
"I want your help." Princess Eleanor's eyes sharpened as she looked at the side outside the window.
Her heart was beating faster as she could not say the words out loud.
'Am I thinking too much?'
'It could all be a trick my mind is playing on me.'
'How can it be true? Felix can never do it.'
Princess Eleanor's thoughts were scattered as she tried to smile. 'Yes, it is a silly thought. But I need to make sure.'
"Princess?" Sir Kit asked as he looked at the Princess with a confused gaze.
Princess Eleanor came back to reality as she looked at Sir Kit. She knew that for now, Sir Kit is her escort and if there is anyone who can help her it is the man sitting in front of her.
"I am wondering if Sir Kit will really help me ." Princess Eleanor said under her breath. There was uncertainty in her gaze as she tried to control her voice. "I may sound a little odd to you, but this is important to me."
Princess Eleanor swallowed as she waited for Sir Kit to give her a confirmation. Although initially she had a fear and did not want to talk about it, now it seems that maybe clearing her doubts was the right thing to do.
"Just let me know." Sir Kit looked at Princess Eleanor unable to understand what was bothering her. "If it is under my reach, I will help the Princess."
Sir Kit thought that maybe Princess Eleanor was bothered by Lady Gisella's health but now it seems that it was not the case. Something else was bothering her.
Princess Eleanor nodded her head but she did not understand how to start but soon she pulled herself together as she said in a small voice. "I want to make a small dagger. I have a design in my head but it needs to be well crafted."
Sir Kit nodded his head. It wasn't a difficult task as he could arrange it under his name. But something told him that it was not the end.
Was it the slight change in Princess Eleanor's expression or the way her eyes glittered, it was evident to him that Princess Eleanor had more things to add.
"It will be arranged once we reach the Empire." Sir Kit said as he waited for the Princess to continue. "Are there any other orders?"
When Sir Kit saw Princess Eleanor not giving any response, he could not help[ himself but ask in a daze.
"Yes," Princess Eleanor smiled as she looked at Sir Kit. A smile played on her face when she knew that Sir Kit could understand her emotions well.
"How well can Sir Kit exchange things?"
"Exchange things?" Sir Kit could see the glow in Princess Eleanor's eyes as he raised his eyebrows. He could not understand the meaning behind her words. What was he supposed to exchange?
"What I am asking is, if I want you to replace something for me from the Angevin Kingdom will you be able to do it?"
Sir Kit was silent. The feeling of uneasiness did not disappoint him. Princess Eleanor had other plans and it was quite evident in her thoughts.
"It depends on what needs to be replaced and from whom. But the only one who could help the Princess in this is Duke Beaumont." Sir Kit was confident in his words, "The Princess needs to talk with the Duke regarding this."
Princess Eleanor nodded. But she wanted to share. She felt like sharing it with Sir Kit will help her process better and make her understand some things too. She just needed a person to talk to.
"I need to place the dagger that is made in the Empire at the Angevin Kingdom." Princess Eleanor said with a smile. "I want to know if the person had the same dagger which I think he does."
Princess Eleanor's gaze turned dizzy as she thought back.
Her brother used to love the dagger. It was his most precious possession. He even joked about sharing it with her when she grows old enough to handle knives.
Princess Eleanor's eyes were filled with water. Only the thought of it brought a wave of memories back to her. She could still see her dagger covered with blood when her brother tried to protect her that fateful night.
Princess Eleanor shivered as she shook her head. It was not the right time to think about such things. She understood that and decided to keep her thoughts in check.
"I want you to keep this a secret." Princess Eleanor's eyes sharpened.
"I can keep things a secret until it doesn't cause any fright between the Roulux Empire and the Angevin Kingdom. But if this act leads to war then I might have to report it to the Duke." Sir Kit was straightforward. His tone was stiff but full of authority.
It could be seen that he was not happy with what Princess Eleanor was saying but as long as he did not object Princess Eleanor had no complaints.
"No need to be so stiff around me. I know what I should and what I should not do. And about your Grand Duke." Princess Eleanor's eyes narrowed. She personally did not know the man but she could see the loyalty others had for him, "I will be talking to him regarding this."
Princess Eleanor looked outside without waiting for Sir Kit to answer. She knew that there was no point in talking about such things now. She needed time to process.
'Maybe Duke Felix made the dagger too.' Princess Eleanor thought. 'Yes, he loved the design and might have asked someone to prepare it.'
Princess Eleanor's tense muscles relaxed as she thought about it. It was a possibility that could not be denied.
Princess Eleanor knew how much Duke Felix admired her brother. He used to follow in his footsteps and respected him. It could be possible that he had made a copy of her brother's possession as a memory.
Princess Eleanor took a deep breath as she looked outside. The sun was about to go down and she knew a day of travel had passed.
