"Your mother has a serious heart condition… that might take her life." Axel told her.

"Is she going to die?" she asked him.
"There is a chance that we might save her by performing a surgery on her, but even the surgery is risky." he told her and explained Nora's condition to her.
After he was done Lyla sat in complete silence. She was so lost and confused because she didn't know what to choose.
If she decided to not go for surgery, then her mother would die, but if she decided to go with the surgery then she might also die.
"How long does she have without surgery?" She asked him.
"Not very long, I'm afraid." He told her. "Her days are numbered and her heart can stop beating any moment."
