Chereads / My Billionaire Pet / Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

Plum arrived first at the café they were supposed to meet in and was sipping her drink uncomfortably because the guys in the café were checking her out. She knew that it was because of her dress.

She wished that she could disappear into thin air from the embarrassment. She tried not to show it and sat there looking confident.

~Outside~

Levi arrived at the café they were supposed to meet at and got out of his Lamborghini.

He noticed the people whispering as they looked at his car, to which he sighed. He hadn't noticed earlier that his dad had swapped his Mercedes Benz car keys with the Lamborghini's. and he liked his Mercedes because it was less flashy whereas this one screamed, 'Look at me, I'm rich.'

He closed the buttons of his coat while looking inside the café.

He found her sitting away from the windows in a corner. He already had a poor impression of her because of her sexy dress.

He went in and as he got closer to her; he saw that she was wearing everything from luxury brands. The price was nothing compared to what he was wearing, even though he wore from brands as well.

"Plumeria?" He asked her, even though he knew it was her because he had seen her picture.

She looked at him and smiled gently.

Even though her expression was innocent, her clothes were definitely not.

"Levi?" she asked standing up.

He gave her a nod.

"Hi, it's good to meet you after so many years." She told him, extending her hand but instead of shaking it, he looked at it and then sat down.

She felt awkward and embarrassed as she retreated from his hands.

'Didn't mom tell me he was friendly? Why is he so cold towards me?' she asked herself as she sat down.

"How have you been all these years?" She asked him.

"Good. Busy with work and stuff," he told her in an uninterested tone.

"Ah." she said, feeling awkward because she felt like she offered him somehow with the way he was treating her.

"Would you like something to drink or eat?" She asked him.

"Not really. Do you want to go out for lunch?" He told her.

She nodded at him with a smile.

They both got up and walked to his car. She didn't judge him because of his fancy car because even though she didn't like expensive stuff; it didn't mean that she would look down upon others who wanted to buy it. It was their money and their decision on how they wanted to spend it.

They sat in his car and drove to a nearby subway restaurant.

They had small talks with each other on the way.

"How is work?" She asked him for conversation's sake.

"It's good. What about you?" He asked her.

"Ummm… I work as a painter." She told him.

"You're an artist?" He asked her in a surprised tone.

"Yeah. Why?" she asked him.

"Oh, I thought you wanted to be a baker because you always talked about it as kids." He told her.

"Oh." She spoke.

She had absolutely no recollection of her childhood memories.

"Well, dreams change as we grow up." She told him with a smile.

He nodded.

They reached Subway and went inside to order.

"What do you want to eat?" He asked him.

"Mmmm…" she thought and looked at him. "I'll have whatever you're having."

He nodded and gave the order. When their sandwiches were ready, they both pulled out their credit cards to pay with. They looked at each other and blinked.

He wasn't expecting her to pay for it and was a bit surprised. He was expecting that she would let him pay for food.

'Maybe it's a strategy to impress me and make me like her.' He thought.

"I'll pay for it." He told me.

"It's okay. I can pay for myself." She told him.

"I insist." He told her, but she pushed her card to the girl behind the counter.

"Thanks, but no thanks. You're not my husband. You don't have to pay for me." She told him with a smile.

He looked at her and raised his eyebrow.

"Yet." He reminded her.

She blushed a little and looked away without responding to him.

They took their sandwiches and went to a table to eat.

When she sat down at the table, she accidentally knocked over some napkins. She bends down to pick them up, which made Levi smirk.

He thought that she deliberately did it because as soon as she bent down, he could see her breasts clearly, but she was not aware of this.

She sat up straight, putting the napkins on the table, and looked at him. She felt a bit uncomfortable because he looked at her while his hand covered his smile.

"What?" she asked.

He suddenly got up and sat beside her.

'Let's see how long you can keep up this act.' he thought as he placed his hand around her shoulder to see how long she would be able to hold herself back.

Plumeria felt uncomfortable by this, but she gave him a small, shy smile. She thought that he was being friendly.

'Don't feel uncomfortable or awkward. You're going to his wife, anyway. It's better to get used to him now. Besides, I shouldn't offend him by making him think that I don't like him at all. What if he tells his parents about it and they get mad at my parents?' she thought, so she let him do whatever he wanted, but that was until he suddenly got a bit too touchy.

He put her hand on her knee and slowly moved it to her thighs. She stopped him before he went any further.

"What? You don't like me?" he asked.

"Levi, we just met not too long ago, and I'm not used to you. And this is way too fast." She told him.

"We are going to be husband and wife one day so there's no need to feel shy," he told her in a seductive tone and then caressed her face with the back of his hand. "Besides, we've known each other from when we were kids."
