Lyla took a deep breath and went to open the door, and sure enough, there he was.
"Morning, daughter." He greeted her with an evil smile that made her want to stick her fingers in her throat and puke.
"I am not your daughter." She told him in an angry tone.
"Fine, fine. You don't want to see me here any longer? You don't have to. Just give me the money and I'll be on my merry way." he told her with an innocent smile.
"How do I know that you won't come back for more?" she asked him while crossing her arms.
He gave her an evil grin.
"That's the thing. You don't. I may take the money today and leave. Probably never come back or I can come again every day and have you return the money you owe me for raising you." he told her.
Lyla laughed.
