TOH
Toh could only stare at her in amazement. She might be ragging right now, but why is he feeling so aroused? She looks so hot and cool. Then again, when he first saw Sumire fight. It felt like an arrow struck his heart. This definitely isn't the time to be admiring her but he can't keep his eyes off her right now.
The clouded look in Aki's eyes vanished and he looked at Sumire, and back at his hands with shock. "That was-"
"Were you about to kill him?"
"Riri that wasn't-"
"Don't you dare use that stupid nickname on me. You have made it quite clear to me Aki-san. You discouraged me to confess to Yuhi, and you're bitter towards anybody I care about. 'If I can't have you nobody else can have you? Is it? You were even going to kill Toh, for what? Your stupid jealousy?" Sumire spat out.
Each word that escaped her lips was deadly.
"I wouldn't have-"
"Spare me your excuses. You disgust me. I don't even want to look at you right now." With those words said Sumire exited the room. Not before sparing him a glance and mumbling 'follow me.'
Toh snapped out of his daze when Mamoru patted his shoulder.
A man with blonde coloured hair wearing the holy knights uniform stepped out of the shadows. "Aki-san. You have a meeting to-"
"Bring her back to me right now." Aki snapped.
"But---"
"Do it."
"Aki-san." Mamoru called out. "We can take care of her. I promise, I'll speak to her."
Aki frowned but nodded. "Tell her to see me when she's calmed down."
Aki didn't spare him another glance as he followed the blonde out. Mamoru leads him out of the room and leads him down another hallway. "Every time they fight. Ki always goes to the northern training ground. It's a place that doesn't get used often. Rather, because she uses it so much. The other
"What happened just there. Does it happen often?" Toh wondered.
Mamoru frowned. "He doesn't usually get that angry. It makes me wonder what set him off."
"Was it not Sumire admitting that she cares for Nagawa more than him?"
It pained him to say those words, but he has to face the reality. It's not just Terashima Yuhi he has to worry about.
Mamoru shakes his head. "They have had similar discussions in the past when Ki was still dating Nagawa." He trailed off. "Did you hear the first part of their conversation?"
"They were whispering, so no."
At those words Mamoru paused and seemed to debate about his next words carefully.
"I think, they were talking about you."
Toh raised his eyebrow. "About me?"
"I have been hearing from other members recently. That the two have been fighting more than usual. I think it's about you. Aki must have realized that Ki had fallen in love with you."
Toh blinked. "How do you know that?"
"I have known Ki for a long time, I knew from the moment she mentioned you that you were different. So, her falling in love with you isn't a surprise."
"She only just said it, moreover now I know she still cares for Nagawa Sano."
Mamoru nodded. "You asked me before why I don't hold any resentment towards Nagawa, for hurting her. This is the reason why, it's because I knew she still cared for him. I could never hurt anyone, Ki cares for."
'That explains why Tsueno's attitude towards him changed. At the start Tsueno was very bitter and cautious towards him. No, he is still cautious.'
"Why did you apply to be my brand's assistant?" Mamoru laughed. "You figured out that it was me?"
"Only you would make up such a ridiculous name." Toh trailed off. "But those designs you submitted are good. They are different from my usual style but it can work."
Yes, those clothes with such a bright aura will work with his brand that has a cool image because- "You designed those with Sumire in mind didn't you?"
At those words Mamoru laughed awkwardly. "Was it that obvious?"
"I think only those who know her well can make clothes that will make her shine like that. You're one of those." Toh extended his hand out. "Originally I was going to do another screening round and invite all the ones who passed the first test. But, thinking about it, there is no need for that. I need someone who can not only design but knows Sumire well. You're the only one who fits those criteria."
Mamoru grinned and clasped his hands. "Don't be too strict on me."
"Only if you mess up." Toh paused, seeing a large set of double doors. He glanced at their surroundings and noticed how quiet the area was.
"Is this the place?"
Mamoru nodded and opened the doors.
There standing in the center was Sumire.
Gone was the pure white blade that looked like snow, and in her hands was a wooden sword. Sumire was swinging it rather aggressively, and randomly. Not focusing on skill or precision, most likely to get rid of the remaining anger. Despite her reckless way of swinging the wooden sword, there was something graceful about her movements.
It is during times like this where he remembers that she is a member of the nobility. She truly carries herself with grace and elegance. She also has a clumsy side, but even that clumsiness is elegant.
'I find myself more and more in love with her as the days go by.'
"Ki." Mamoru called out.
Sumire turned to them.
"Spar with me."
Mamoru nodded. "Alright."
Toh takes a seat on one of the benches and watches the two spar. After watching for a few minutes, his gaze hardened on Tsueno. His movements have become a lot more sluggish. Koichi has shown him previous clips of Tsueno fighting before, and he used to move more swiftly. Is his illness getting worse?
'I'll need to discuss that with him. From the looks of it Tsueno is doing a good job making sure Sumire doesn't find out. But it really is getting worse. I have medical knowledge since I studied it alongside psychology, so perhaps there is something I can do for him.'
Tsueno Mamoru is very important to her. Toh doesn't even want to imagine what would happen to Sumire if something happened to Tsueno.
'I'll have to go to the base.' There should be something there to at least slow down Tsueno's symptoms until he can finally see a doctor.
