Jace had looked for her in the parking lot, in the street, in the bushes. Avana had a big head start, and she could be anywhere by now, but he had to find her.
"Damn, Adam, what have you done?" He could not help but curse his friend for scaring the girl away, checking every possible path she might have taken.
Now that she was back in her original strength, she could run faster than an ordinary human. Still, he believed that he was faster if only he could pinpoint the exact direction she took.
Although he had also acquired some supernatural powers the same way Adam had his, his friend was still far superior to him or the others. Adam's capabilities still dominated all of them.
Then, he finally found her tracks as he turned into the woody areas. It was dark, but he could easily track her down, seeing the footprints she made on some muddy grounds.
